Drupal is widely known as the premier platform for community-driven sites; the Ubercart plan for Drupal includes eCommerce to the neighborhood plumbing. This session shows how anybody can build a neighborhood around a product and services or otherwise generate income from a web presence by walking-through a real-world Drupal Ubercart application.
John is a Principal Engineer at Rockwell Collins, a defense specialist with workplaces in Richardson, TX. He deals with classified projects for the Department of Defense needing proficiency in embedded software application, network security, and cryptography. During the night and on weekends, John seeks advice from customers requiring site development on Drupal 5 and Drupal 6 and has also launched Drupal-based neighborhood and social networking websites on his own.
A recent customer needed an upgrade to their existing eCommerce site, and, John carried out the website in Drupal with Ubercart providing the eCommerce features.
