E-commerce web design has become a bit dull with almost every e-commerce website looking the exact same. With the current rise in e-commerce due to the pandemic, it’s more vital than ever to differentiate yourself.
I, for one, am getting rather bored of the usual grid-based product brochure page design that everybody appears to be using. Shopify is dominating in the world of e-commerce, so it’s not a surprise that we’re seeing e-commerce website clones left and right. It’s time to refresh things up:
Ditch the typical yawn-inducing product page layout for something with more style. Something that had a little thought put into it. Customers, albeit not designers, will notice when you have actually put believed into a web page.
Go with a different design, be more intentional with your art direction, take advantage of smooth and gratifying interactions. These make a difference!
