Trade Cycle Described with Diagram|e-Commerce
A trade cycle is the series of exchanges, in between a customer and provider, that happen when a business exchange is executed. A general trade cycle consists of:

Pre-Sales: Finding a supplier and agreeing the terms.

Execution: Selecting items and taking shipment.

Settlement: Billing (if any) and payment.

After-Sales: Following up complaints or supplying upkeep.

Business transactions that are duplicated on a regular basis, such as grocery stores replenishing their shelves, is one category of trade cycle.
Consumer deals tend to be once-off (or a minimum of differ each time) and payment is made at the time of the order.
