stuff that theywant to hear at a podcast or gonna bereal raw uncut footage of us talkingabout this stuff with full transparencyand at the end of the day the only thingthat's really gonna help people'sbusinesses and actually help them moveforward is nothing but sheertransparencyyou have all this fluff and excuse mylanguage but bullshit that comes aboutand people are just trying to at the endof the day pitch you want a specificitem or try to get you to buy some sortof program I mean that's what's reallygonna start to dilute that content andthe pure value of what people truly needto really kind of likepeddle their stuff right and it's funnyI was on Instagram I think maybe yousaid it to me but you sent me someteachable dropshipping course and yeahit was verbatim my course like I evenuse my images and I was just like I waslike hold on hold on I'm like youclaiming to be some you know this isthis this guru somebody who knows whatthey're doing yet and and I meant what Imean verbatim my video titles werecopied word-for-word down to the periodnow and I just looked at this I said youhave no idea what any of this even meansyeah because I was reading thedescription in the description wasn'tthe same but I was reading and I waslike okay you clearly are just trying togo out for a money grab and I thinkthat's where a lot of people right noware really confused is that there's adifference between people who are ableto draw attention and get clout andpeople who know what they're doingthere's a very fine line between thatthere's again you could be a great dropshipping marketer and you can be a greatpersonal brand I don't even want to sayentrepreneur because people who arebuilding personal brands right nowthey're not making money no not at alland none of the fact a the one thing you have to keep inmind and you should be very worriedabout is if there's an if there's a guruany marketplace and they're focusingtheir time on they're focusing majorityof their time on marketing theirproducts rather than harnessing theirskills that's a bad indicator that's whythe last product I released was March2018 which was dropship Academy which isabsolutely incredible and everybodyknows that I closed it down and you haveto wait an entire year for me to evenopen up something again to come workwith me that personally and you thesebecome gurus now I'm not knocking themor anything and there's nothing wrongwith that it's just to me it's like it'snot very plausible it's not veryreasonable to think that somebody canrun a massive scale business and runanother massive scale business meaning Iknow people that are doing like 20 30million dropshipping or you knowbuilding out like a private label brandand thenthrough Shopify or Amazon and I knowpeople that are doing that sosuccessfully and they try to build apersonal brand and they just can't do itthey cannot fucking do it however on theflip side I do know other people thatcan build an incredible personal brandyet they have no idea how to properlyset up a Shopify store and and and whenit comes down to me and I keep relatingit back to me because it's it's veryimportant you get this is that it's notlike and I would say I'm now one ofthese smaller creators compared to theother people that are now you knowcreating content and they're good atmarketing themselves but when it comesdown to like course material andteaching other people there's a reasonwhy I have more success stories and whythe people who have you know that aredoing like 30 40 million and thestudents that they do get their studentsare so freakin successful it's becausethey're in the trenches every day rightI'm in the trenches every day Anthonynow we're just launching ads a littlebit for an entire week that's all wewere doing and and then we're like oh weshould start a podcast that's theAnthony said I would start a podcast Iwas like okay yeah sure now he reallyhad to push that on me because I just Iit's it's not my it's not my you'redoing is running an elaborate and I hatetobut in an elaborate scam if you willbecause at the end of the day if yourproduct is good it's gonna sell itselfyou don't need marketing to do that great at marketingthemselves and that's all they focus onwhich they should flip the switch andfocus on number one harnessing the skillthat they're teaching people so they cangive them the real information thatactually works rather than em and Icould say this wholeheartedly becauseI've seen this happen beforewhat typical course creators will dowhat these typical econ guys will do isthey'll come in and I have so manyscreenshots of some of these kids askingme for help in the very beginning ohyeah they'll learn from somebody make afew thousand and then say we frickinmade it no you didn't yeah I mean I havepeople that are now on YouTube and likeI could say literally bigger than methat I've seen that I've bought myentire funnels in the past it's justcrazy how people just go ahead andrehash other people's content and saylook I I'm teaching you this just cuzyou know they could put their face infront of the right people but at the endof the day the thing that matters mostis can you get results for those actualstudents and the best way to do that isif you're a practitioner of the craftyourself now you'll see that peoplecould go ahead and you know regurgitateinformation and when I think of that Iliterally think of people that are inhigh school or middle school or collegeor as people like all university thatyou know it's not that hard to just goout there and grab someone else'sinformation regurgitate it into your ownwords and then give it to someone elsenow people that could actually you knowpersonal brand themselves to a certaindegree and get these kind of coursesales that they do that but the thing isthe true successin my opinion is hands-down is if youcan get people results now I mean you'veseen the results from your own studentslike Mario and countless others I meanI've gotten videos from my students likeliterally going on for two to threeminutes saying wow you changed myperspective on marketing and how I couldreally approach us and really thementality behind this and exactly how tomake things work and how I got my firstfew sales all the way up to X Y & Z andI mean that's where you know you couldreally see the quality rise to the topand you know that's where you see thingssuch as like Sam ovens for example hefocuses on the deliverable that he'sproviding and at the end of the day nomatter what kind of price he puts on hison his programs or the consulting.comstuff that he runs it's gonna bepriceless to the people that actuallytake that information and run with itbecause the deliverable is BarNone way Ihave to have something to add in herebecause this is this is this is gonna bea point where I don't think I don'tthink a lot of people like would seethis side of it but it's something thatI need to need to say and I won't namedrop any names but if you takesomebody's course and you leave them atestimonial and then you try to buildyour own personal brand and then askthat person who you learn from to removeyou as a testimonial you are a scumbagokay there's because this has happenedto me multiple times now and again I'mnot even gonna name drop here it's it'sdisrespectful as hell it is the mostdisrespectful thing that you can dobecause you're trying to make money foryourself and giving no credit to theperson that you learned from here's thething nothing is original and you werejust saying since what really sparked itis you were like okay you know you youregurgitate information but at the endof the day that's what we do right evenyou and I we regurgitate informationthat we learn we need to learn somethingfrom somewhere make it into our own andthen we could teach it yeah so it's notlike we came up with the idea ofinfluencers that was already being doneit's just the way we were doing it wascompletely different so there's neveranything new and if you reallythere's this book is called um steallike an artist and in that book it'svery clear that the best artists in theworld never came up it's justlike the the practitioners are the onesthat I set at the highest value you knowwhen they actually can show that they'vedone it themselves how it works fromstart to finish rather than just kind ofhalf-ass putting it out there becausethey kind of understand it from a secondperspective because that at that pointyou're kind of playing a game oftelephone and when you get to the endpoint the actual way to make things workis just so altered and diluted that it'sactual just pure bullshit right yeah yepyep because here's the thing a lot ofpeople are learning or takinginformation from people on the surfacethat look like you know what they'redoing so if let's just say you'rewatching you know ecommerce guru X who'sgreat at personal branding yet doesn'tpractice and then you decide hey I'mgonna start a channel or I'm gonnacreate this funnel of teach people whatI learned from econ guru X yet econ guruX doesn't know what the hell he's doingall you're doing is passing alongmisinformation to essentially dilute theentire marketplace so then when thatperson that you're teaching realizesthat you don't know what you're doinghe's gonna go ahead and say okay thenclearly this marketplace is a big scamokay and that's the problem that we'rethat I see right now is that it's kindof like a big game of telephone and bythe time you know we had 20 layers deepand this brand new person comes into themarketplace they're learning somethingfrom somebody who has absolutely no ideawhat they're doing and it's just it'sit's one of those things where I'm justlikehonestly it's sad it's said I knowthat's why that's why I've stopped in2018 like I just I completely gave itand I have no problem admitting thatit's just I gave up cuz I saw first offlike the competition was becoming sofierce it's still as fierce actuallyit's it's the most fierce I've ever seenit and second thing is that I saw amassive change and that people caredabout things and not results yeah rightand that was my that was my big pivotalpoint cuz dude I don't wanna and I'vesaid this countless amount of times Idon't want to sell the fact that I havea Lamborghini I want to sell the factthat I know how to build a businessright but people want to buy the factthat I have a Lamborghiniand yeah it's like a mass-marketapproach you can even have that argumentlike the Thai Lopez approach where I'mkind of just like mass-market but that'snot the type of person I want to attractI don't want to attract the 17 year oldkid who wants to not go to college oruniversity and wants to become amillionaire overnight that's not what Iwant right but a majority of the peopleout there that that's what they'repromoting right now yeah and then youhave on the flip side people like EzraFirestone now the customer qualityincredible oh yeah because this contentis incredible Sam ovens customer qualityincredible content incredible in golflike like there's a big big differencebetween between biz op and businessbuilding now the big thing is thatthat's all contextual to the very frontend now this can be from literally anopt-in page like like they were talkingabout the other day you know if forexample your opt-in page is convertingat 30% that doesn't necessarily meanthat's a bad opt-in page because if thevalue of the customer is 3 times thevalue of an optimal converting at 70%yours getting a higher-quality customerright which is what you want yeah ahundred percent and the thing is thatyou know I think that they are able toreally harness that higher qualitymarket just because you could see wherethey're coming from you could see thatthey're truly good at what they do andwhat they speak about and the wisdomthat they share is legitimate you knowit's not you know a kid talking toanother kid and trying to sell them onon a pipe dream there's a big bigdifference in a fine line between peopleof that level such as onic Ezraand other people Sam and so many othersthat are really doing a truly amazingjob at what they do and kids that arejust trying to sell a dream right whichis a quick search on YouTube there yougo just just look down that list butanyway let's move on to our second topicI think we've really closed enough onthis yeah let's talk about building amassive brand which is what everybody Ithink realizes that's where they need togo yeah and yes so there's so much thatwe can talk about when it comes tobuilding a massive brand now I will saythis okay because a lot of people haveasked me what happened with the veerBevier was not my vision okay so firstthings first I'd never it's not that Inever wanted to do it I like the conceptI like the idea and everything waslaunched already now if you don't knowif a veer is if you're brand new hereit's a teeth whitening company that Iwent ahead and started and I orderedlike 2,000 units yeah something likethat that was not units thousands oh noit was super easy I think from start tofinish we spent like 15 G's with yeah Imean the custom packaging and everythingyeah everything was legit too and lookgreat yeah everything oh it lookedphenomenal but you know I came to thatcrossroad where I realized that's notwhat I wanted to do at the time okaybecause I think drop shipping is still agreat model it's still a huge andphenomenal model that's why when peoplesay is drop shipping dead and they'relike yeah drop shipping is dying rightI'm just like yes please tell everybodythat like like perfect great like Ohtell everyone that yeah so I think it'sjust another skewed perspective I meanthe the real answer is that bullshitdrop shipping is dying like people thatdon't know what they're doing or youknow provide awful customer support orcustomer service or deliver awfulproducts they don't check and make surethat every part of their business is youknow operating well by way of the stuffthat they're actually sending in totheir customers the shipping time thatit gets there the the actualrelationship that they're building withthe customers is making people losefaith in the fact of drop shipping butat the end of the day it's whetheryou're running a well-oiled business orlike you're not and simply put if you'renot paying close attention to it and notactually dedicating legitimate time andcaring about your businessside and out and how it affects yourcustomer then that's gonna happenobviously it's gonna seem like dropshipping is essentially dying so overallI mean you're gonna be able to tellwhether you're able to move forward withthis by simply being able to check intoevery single part of your business it'sreally it's not to over complicated it'sjust that the quality is always gonnarise to the top so if you're the bottomof the barrel and you think that youcould just skate by by the seat of yourpants and yeah it drops Whitney's gonnabe dead to you but if you actually careabout your customers care about theproducts that you're providing andfocusing more so on brand building thenI think that's pretty much gonna be yoursaving grace and what's really gonnaactually allow dropshipping to live onmore and more it's just that the qualityis always gonna be at the top and I meanyou see that from top to bottom whetherit's education info products or sellingphysical products quality's always gonnarise to the top of course quality willdefinitely always rise to the top that'skind of that's with anything that's withany market no matter what quality willalways out trump anything but again youknow building a massive brand issomething that and just a time what Iwas saying before and just to kind ofclose that chapter it it wasn'tsomething that I wanted to pursue anylonger so I decided to go ahead and letthat project die even though I dumpedthousands of dollars into it it justwasn't something that I wanted to go anyfurther I mean not even that we have todeal with a lot of a lot of clearanceslike government clearances because itwas something you put in your mouth sothere were just so many logistics to itwe were making sales definitely weremaking sales but I decided even evenwhen we were making sales I decided topull I decided to go ahead and just pullthe project without even sellingeverything because again it wasn't myfocus and that's what I realized is thatI don't want to focus on on that becauseit's notit wasn't my bread and butter yeah ohand and I think maintaining focus andbeing able to build something like thatis huge I love the drop shipping model Icame into the drop shipping model andyou know quite frankly 50% of theproducts on Amazon are sold by thirdparty now what does that mean exactly isthat it could be like the filmer byAmazon where it's into an Amazonwarehouse but just keep in mind thatalso in that mixture is you knowcompanies that are fulfilling from theirown warehouses and smaller companiesthat are fulfilling from their own youknow facilities and from that 50% of allproducts on Amazon you know a part ofthat 50% is essentially drop shippedproducts right because it's you knowwhen you go on Amazon you see you knowshipped from or shipped by that's athat's a that's basically drop shippingamazon is drop shipping so you know it'skind of it's it's one of those questionswhere it depends on how much time andeffort you're willing to put in buildinga massive brand has it's upsidepotentials where you can sell it formillions heck you can sell it forbillions of dollars yeah if you playyour cards right I mean those look atmovement watches or MV MT whichever wayyou'd like to say they got acquired bythe model group for about a quarter of abillion dollars yeah yeah I mean yeahthey started out drop shipping watchesfrom China right yeah and now look atwhere they are I mean this is phenomenalgreat of course it didn't happenovernight this is like what like a sixyear process a your process I want tothink it's something around that theyplay the long-term game I did it reallywell oh they did nobody and nobody whois coming in and finding and this eventies into what we talked about beforewith these gurus is that nobody's comingin to the Shopify and drop shipping orjust Shopify and building a business viaShopify nobody's coming into that withthe mindset of I can't wait eight yearsfrom now when I go ahead and you knowfinish this project they're thinking ohmy goodnesshow much money can I make in two weeksyeah that's the problem that is theworst perspective to have on I meanstuff takes time you know you come inwith that mindset you lose yeahyou you start to say people will goahead and say Shopify is a scam becauseyou came in with the mindset that youcan make ridiculous amounts of moneybecause that's what somebody told you ona Facebook ad or through a funnel orthrough a YouTube video right that'swhat you were led on to believe soessentially we can't even blame you andand I want to say we cuz I've been apart of that problem too I've said youknow look how much money I made in andI'll even and I've been a part of thatproblemand that's why it's what I'm coming backnow like you know let's let's shakethings up right because I I see theproblem and I saw last year the type ofpeople that I want to work with and I'mvery selective on on what I do in theprojects that I allow even got askedthrough you this morning if I want totalk somewhere said no like I'm not I'mnot I'm not talking publicly I'm not I'mnot take a few people becauseI want to be able to work with themclosely because if you're not workingwith them closely at the end of the daythey're just gonna get veered off in thewrong direction even a business modelthat we've we've ever even talked aboutwe talked about drop shipping fromAliexpress but this guy's sellingproducts on Amazon that he's buying fromWalmart and he's just taking that littlemargin but if you're doing like 8% of 30million dollars a year you're livingpretty comfortably right from dropshipping from moving data over from oneserver to another server from you knowone platform which is Amazon to anotherplatform which might be Walmart forexample and that's that's how we skim inthe middle he's just skimming themargins and eight percent of 30 millionlike I said that's that's incredibleit's almost three million dollars rightnet for what for touching for touching abunch of products you don't even ownyeah I mean just solving some sort ofproblem whether it's saving costs forsome sort of business I mean whateveryou can really find a gap in the marketor you know see potential or fulfillingsomeone's needsat the end of the day the bigger problemyou solve the more money you make it'ssimple as that but it doesn't have to bethe biggest problem it doesn't have tobe you reinventing the wheel to actuallymake an impact or change your careerpath or get supplemental say what's really firing them toto go and start this business or dowhatever they want that is really gonnaget them that gratitude and like wherethey want to be it's just solving aproblem but at the end of the day it'stoo many people going back to like youknow the song cost and everything peopledon't stay dedicated and they think thatit's just gonna happen within 1 2 or 3months I mean even I myself I lost like15 grand or ten to fit yeah 10 to 15grand the first time I try to develop myfirst software and ever since then Istuck through it I looked at it I waslike alright that was lesson learnedmove forward recreate it with a new teamand a new mindset and a whole lot ofknowledge and I gained from you know howto actually manage a team and build outsomething that is your true vision yeah and and that was likethat was one of the things that Icouldn't really understand was what youknow what image am i portraying that'sso negative compared to everybody elseand and then the shame and and basicallyI I got screwed over because either Iwent with the market or I had to goagainst it so what everybody else isdoing if I go against it fade outI become useless nobody because themarkets attracted to a certain thing ata certain time period like for examplein six months from now everybody mightbe attracted to post sale sequences andeverybody's gonna be talking about thatand they're not even gonna be showingany cars or anything they're just gonnabe showing like the inside of their postyes he wasI'd be a thing right but right now orduring that time period everyone wasjust showing their lifestyle liketraveling and you know being in certainlocations with certain people and thatwas the lifestyle that was attractingthe market like we were moving to thatand obviously I'm not gonna was one more and it was beforeecon premier Academy EPA it was therewas one more and it did decently wellthey four hundred thousand and then Imean they killed it with the yeah andthey were the first ones to do it and Iwas one of the top affiliates with Chrisrecord and Chris Beck was coming out ofI think maybe MLM I think it was andyeah he crushed and then you know we allmoved into e-commerce and that was justlike a huge eye-opener for me and I wasthe first person that went to youtube with or one of the first few peoplethat went to YouTube with Shopifycontent so I cornered that market andthe next thing you know everybody elsecomes into it flooding it with look whatI have and I got it cuz the shop lineI'm like no you got it cuz you'reselling courses and stuff yeah and uhand and yet at that point and I stillask someone I still ask some of thesepeople you know are you still on Shopifyting like yeah I'm like like so so I gottargeted for what though like yeah Inever really understood that but yeahthere's there's so much to it I mean I Idefinitely know if I put this out I'llprobably get contacted by Shopify legalteam and then I'll just slap me on thewrist maybe I'll take my affiliateaccount away next oh no oh no yeahhere's that he was the craziest part andI didn't know you had an account Ididn't even a promotional fight likethat but yeah actually I did pretty wellpromoting shop buy really yeah it wouldwork well so the funnel for mail funnelsthat you created yeah yeah that's coolbut yeah even I have okay I have likeobviously you know some friends to dovery very well with jump fly affiliatepromotion and they were just like andI'm not gonna name any names cuz it'sthe last thing I want but he was likeyeah just use my accountand I'll set up a sub ID for you so wecould just track her payments you stillget paid now I mean I I didn't take himup on that offer he didn't want anythinghe's just doing it this is a greatfriend of mine and and I said no justcuz it wouldn't make sense cuz clearly Iwas doing something off and and I willadmit that I had public-facing links andthey asked me to change and I did andevery video that they told me to takeoff your public facing links meaning thedirect link to Shopify right in thedescription of a YouTube video that's metaking on which I had no problem becauseat this point in my in my business Iwant to get all the leads anyway so Ijust created an opt-in page capture theleads still got the lead and still gotthe free the free shot around ratherthan so it straight right off so for meit made sense how's it cool yeah noproblem I have no I have no problemdoing that it makes more sense for me umso so yeah and you know obviously I havefriends that's out there Cassady yeahyou can use use mine like we we have noproblembut it's like one of those things whereIget it you got you guys were burned bysight Ron site research and he's callingout literally site Ron's calling outeverybody who's making YouTube videosand my face wasn't anywhere on there isbecause I wasn't making fuckingridiculous claims like he was like yeahShopify is being fluffed up by a bunchof you know like a bunch of scammers andpeople that just keep promising bigthings and he like this page waselaborate this was an elaborate pagewith screenshots of YouTube videos withscreenshots of other people like otherecon gurus and and their video titlesand all that and I was nowhere to befound in the video or nowhere to befound on the page and that's when theircrackdown happened but I wasn't evenshown I wasn't mentioned I wasn't Iwasn't anything there was a ton of otherpeople that were on that page and Iasked them if they got their accounttaken away and he did not get theiraccount taken away and that's why I waslike that's what got me so angry wasbecause and it's not like it was alittle bit of money either it was asubstantial amount of affiliateCommission's that I was making becauseguess what it just so happens that myentire business is built around thatplatform teaching people how to use itso boom you know it just makes sensethat I my affiliate commissions werepretty big but maybe they don't want topay it out I don't know that's I think Ithink they're cracking down on me on theaffiliates side I you know they theyhave they have a lot of liquid cashthey're publicly traded but againthey're it's not it's not like what theyhave is something incredible okay yeahat the end of the day look at somebodylike John Mack who has what's a softwarecalled I can't I can't think of it it'sit's on the tip of my tonguecommerce HQ yeah yeah yeah so commerceHQ if if I and I talked to John aboutthis the the software is a beautiful itis incredible if Shopify didn't have allthat funding behind them I think Johnwould blow them out the water oh yeah Imean I mean just at the end of day tohave that much capital to work withyou're you're gonna have you know 10 20steps ahead of anyone else I meanregardless of self funding or whateverlike shop Pfizer on on a wholelike literally a publicly traded companylike there's just so much cash to burnthrough almost like but I have a theoryI have a theory my theory is that if themarket if the Shopify gurusyes I'd to drop Shopify and go tosomebody like John Mac's platform rightI mean what happens with Shopify itwould shift of tremendously because hugebecause here's the thing Shopify haswhat seven hundred thousand max storesthat were created yeah that doesn't meanactive right now yes okay and that's oneof the big problems as an investor yougot a look at how many stores areactually paying oh the churn rate thatthey have is unreal and I mean as asoftware owner like because my app isdirectly for Shopify the churn rate iscontextual right or like across theboard like you see like our our billingrating like the 14-day trial istremendous like we convert probably like70 to 80 percent of people from a 14-dayfree trial signup over to the lowest$9.99 a month plan which is tremendousfor us it converts like hell but as yousee as it goes down the line the dropoff is is tremendous and of course butthat's that's any software companythough but 100% but but I think a lot ofthis has to do with everything that wetalked about earlier yeah context comingin the quitters the people that don'tstick around long it is just literallytied in with Shopify buddy-buddy likethere are 90 percent of the people thatare gonna start that Shopify free trialand you know I'd say ninety ninety-fivepercent of them are not gonna go pastthe first two months yepand and one one resolutions isI'm gonna start moving towards fragrancefree products but in general this hassuch a strong fragrance I just foundusing this very unenjoyable and as acleansing oil this is not an effectivecleansing oilI found it left a lot of makeup on myskin it didn't break through my eyelineror buy mascara and when I went in withmy cleanser and toner I still felt likeI had makeup on my skin so this was justnot a good cleansingI definitely use cleansing oils fromdifferent brands that I've liked moreand then for the foaming cleanser thiswas also something I did not like at alllook at the cat hair on my face I amgoing to be testing out the seed ricewater bright foaming cleanser from thefaceshop that I fought off Amazon soright now it looks like I am good toshow you guys my levels here first thingin the morning now that we have abaseline I'm gonna go ahead and wash myface okay I already tell you that myskin feels really dry you know for thatfeeling when you're like it's too cleanlike it's also I don't know if I'm crazybut it feels a little like there's stillresidue on my skin like it didn't rinseoff Farrow up whoo okay so you can seethe big difference in numbers to behonest I know that this is saying okaywe're in a safe range but I feel likethis is way too driving for my skin myskin just already feels a comfortableI also found this as very irritating onmy skin and when I was looking throughthe ingredients one thing that start outto me was obviously the sodium laurylsulfate which is something that is a bigno-no when it comes to skin creationever gazing products with sodium laurylsulfate in them I have actually beenusing this as a makeup brush cleanserusually when I get face cleansers Idon't like I either give them away orare you subtly my makeup brushes verdicton it is an effective brush cleanserdoesn't makeup brush cleanser this ispretty good but as something I would useon my face I literally use this once onmy skin it was like never again nevermoving on to the next product this isthe Eliza Becca witch piggy help morecontrol hyaluronic acid 97% now Ihonestly had low expectations for thisproduct only because the packaging wasso cartoonish I really felt like is thisa serious skincare product but I have tosay I actually like this a fair amountnow this is obviously a hyaluronic acidbased product meaning hyaluronic acid isreally good for those of us with dryskin and really all skin types canbenefit from using hyaluronic acidhyaluronic acid is something that Bond'swater to the skin so looking at theingredients in this product I have tosay fairly decent ingredients in mine inparticular does have a very heavyfragrance to it so I don't think I willcontinue using this for some reason whenI was reading other people's reviews andexperiences with this online some peopleare saying that their students havefragrance so I don't know if ElizaBecker we formulated this product andadded fragrance to it or if there is aseparate product that has no fragranceto it I'm not really sure what's goingon there or where the discrepancy lies -Rigginsby the one on Amazon it's going to havefragrance in it but that's the onlything that I don't like about thisproduct and I really wish it didn't havethat fragrance added because definitelyout of moisture to my skin it made myskin feel really soft plumped up my skinI totally noticed me wearing orbrightening aspect to it but I reallydid like this product I just wish itdidn't have fragrance now I guesstechnically the last key care productfor this video are these which are thedermal sheet masks now obviously you cantell I did not use very many of these Iused to I use the honey one and I usethe charcoal one and the charcoal one toirritate my skin but I can't but thehoney would actually make my skin feltitchy and irritated so like I mentionedI tried the charcoal and the other nightit is true back in the packaging butthese are definitely fragrance today I'mgoing to be trying this one on so thisis a cotton sheet mask looks like thisthe one that I tried the charcoal onedry it out pretty quickly it was on myface for like 10-15 minutes and it waspretty much dry after that these aredefinitely not the best quality um sheetmasks I've ever triedokay so I've had this on my skin out forfive minutes I'm gonna take it offbecause I can feel it starting toirritate my skin I'm gonna go wash myface now before I get contact dermatitisfrom something in this I didn't have anyreal reactions with the charcoal one butyeah I'll be right back a good a goodwash my face I look to the ingredientsand on Naaman specifically the onlything that I could find that wouldreally irritate my skin is thatfragrance and another thing that I dowant to know if these have parabens inthem specifically it has a methyl carbonin it now there's controversy behindparabens studies show that is completelysafe for cosmetic use some people sayit's very not safe for use on the skinsupposed to be is some type ofcarcinogen for the most part I thinkcompanies try to avoid parabens at leastusing a pair of it as a preservativebecause it's just safer not to have itin it and use something else overallthese are very mediocre sheet masks atbestI definitely just had a sheet mask thatI liked more even though these wereaffordable I just sound quality youreally get what you pay for with thesesheet masks they dry it out within 10 to15 minutes the sheet mask itself whatdid not feel very high quality and Ijust again wouldn't recommend these Iguess this next product is kind ofskincare kind of cosmetic it's likehalfway between this is the etude houseof my lash serum and this is actuallythe first lash serum I've used becauseif you guys have been on my channel fora while you guys don't know I have verysensitive eyes and to start off I guessI should show you guys what my eyelasheslook like before so we can see ifthere's any growth so I'm gonna show youguys the best of my ability what myeyelashes look like before using thelash theorem[Music]good news did not make my eyelashes fallout and I didn't have any sensitivity tothis I felt that this was actually afairly nice product I didn't necessarilynotice any type of growth or any type ofthickening of my lashes I think ifanything my eyelashes just seemed alittle bit more conditioned and I diduse this at least once a day sometimestwo if I remember to do it eithermorning or night but I didn't noticeanything crazynow this to me was essentially an extrastep I had to do and another step that Ikind of had to apply and have it grownmy lashes to the point where it lookedlike I was wearing false lashes or was atraumatic difference I would sayabsolutely I would use this but sinceI'm such a subtle difference I justthink it's something excessive that Iwouldn't necessarily go back to usingadditional notes about this product if Iuse this in the morning before I appliedmy mascara what I would do is I wouldlet this dry on my lashes and then applymy mascara after and I really didn'tnotice the difference with how mymascara applied how long it lasted oranything like that so if you are lookingto use this in the morning before yourmakeup it doesn't really affect mymascara at least for me it doesn't lessthan obviously have you only make aproduct that I purchased for this videowhich is the petit petit peri's inkvelvet the shade is that I got my in wasnumber 14 I'm actually wearing thisshade in particular on my lips right nowI also wear this in my skincare shelfievideo where I give you a little tour ofmy skincare shelf which I'll put hereand also link it down below so you guyscan watch that I actually had onealready in the shade number 8 and thisis something that I also enjoyed usingthe consistency of this is a bit of athicker consistency and as you can kindof tell it's not quite a matte but it'snot quite a shiny tint it's more ofexactly what the name implies it's moreof a velvet texture and consistentsee therefore it does have very nicecoverage it's okay you don't have to goover and layer it several times andstart a song Jodi I feel like these lastabout three to four hours before I needto apply it having said that if I'm noteating or drinking and yeah overall Ithink they're nice lip products thesewill be something I will continue to useand I will possibly buy different colorsof because I do that you cansee all of the images all of theanimations to do the buttons of thecolors absolutely everything is done foryou so let's click on that so now itsays installing as you can see itinstalling Lu's different plugins andimporting all the images it's just soeasy eyes it's absolutely amazing youhardly have to do anything all you haveto do now it's basically place or put inyour own images and videos if you wantto and just customize your website tohow you want it so just wait a minute ortwo for this to complete and I'll beback with you in a minute okay thattemplate has been imported successfullyso now we can go ahead and we cancustomize the text the images and thedesign to make it oursso you ready let's click on View siteand here we go this is just all beingimported this is ready to go you haven'thad to do any of this this is justunbelievablenever possible just even just a fewyears ago it's created this menu for youit's got a little basket animation hereyou're a beautiful header with thisparallax effect got a couple of buttonsthat people can go straight to your shopor to find out more about you you've gotsome brands here that post possibly thatyou work with or that you sell you'vegot these different beautiful sectionsthat get people to again go to your shopor different products that you want themto you check out and here's a featuredproduct section this is justunbelievablysimple to use and to put together I'vereally hope you're happy and excitedgoing forwards about customizing thisI'm really excited for you so let's getgoing to head back to your dashboardeither click on the other tab thatyou've got open or you can go up hereand then click on dashboard ok so we'reback on the dashboard and you'll seeyou've got a few more options on yourtoolbar so here we've got one calledcart flows and we're not going to usethis so don't worry about it and we'vegot one called WooCommerce and this isone of the most important new tools thatyou've got because this is everything todo with your shop as you can see it'sgot orders coupons and reports and youcan change the settings for us as wellthis is like the behind-the-scenes ofyour shop so it's going to tell you whenyou've got orders and how much and whereto send those orders to and so on we'llget into this a bit later you've thengot products underneath that and thenElementor here so first let's go toproducts and we'll take a look at howthis works so let's go to all productsand I've got loads and loads of new yournotifications up here so I'm just goingto get out get rid of some of these soI'm gonna say maybe later for this andI'm just going to click on skip set upfor the cart flows plug-in because we'renot going to use that and I'm just goingto click on the cross for this and I'mgonna keep this because we can run thesetup for WooCommerce and a little bitand then I've got a little messagesaying your store does not appear to beusing a secure connection we highlyrecommend serving your entire websiteover an HTTPS connection and this isobviously because it's a shop and thisis really really important and we'll besetting this up in a little bit and thisis what the SSL certificate is for andI'll be explaining all about how you canset that up a bit later you have to goover to Hostgator and ask them to put itup and set up for you but we'll be goingthrough that a bit later so I'm going tokeep that up to remind me to do it laterand here itsaying you can try the new version ofWooCommerce but I'm not going to botherwith this but feel free of course if youwant to you can keep this message up andtry it later whatever you want really soyou all you do is click on installWooCommerce admin but I'm not gonna dothis for now so I'm just gonna click ondismiss and at the top there is anotherone saying configure Google Analyticsand Google Analytics is a whole othervideo is really really in-depth to dowith statistics are all about yourwebsite who's visiting and new your yourviewers and your customersit goes into quite a lot of depth it issomething that you could get into afterwatching this video if you want to Iwon't be explaining how to use it inthis video because as I said it caneasily be another hour-long videoexplaining all about it and the bestways to use it and how to use it but wedo have a video on my channel if you dowant to get into that and also on ourblog so take a look at those if you dowant to start using Google Analytics andto get rid of this message you justuninstall the plug-in because you'vealready got the plug-in installed bydefault so here we are in products nowyou've got some default products alreadyset up which came with your shopstemplate and this is really good becauseI'm gonna it lets me explain how theseproducts look and kind of function andwhat all this means so obviously you'vegot the name of the product here thenyou've got an SKU and an SKU is a stockkeeping unit it's a number assigned to aproduct by a shop and you can use SK useto track inventory in your shop and theycan be really helpful but I'm not goingto use it in this video or in the shopgoing forwards then you've got stock andthis is going to say if the product isin stock or not then you've got a priceand if you see a price like this whichis crossed out that means it's on saleso this used to be 150 but now it's a120 then the category this is women'sand then there's men and whatevercategory you assign for that productwill be here then you've got tags andthis little starit's something that you can choose foreach product if you want it featured inthe featured product section on yourhome page and we're going to be gettinginto that in a moment I'll explain allabout that in a minute and then the dateis when you created this product solet's now scroll over one of theproducts here so let's take for examplejust this this white shoe right soyou've got edit you've got quick edityou can trash it you can view it and youcan duplicate so if I click on a quickedit you can change simple things likethe title even the date when it wascreated you can make it private if youdon't want it to show in your shop andhere you've got the product data so theSKU again the price if it's on sale youcan put a price there even the weightand the length the width and the heightthat's to do with shipping of course andthen shipping class which we'll begetting into a bit later this is reallyreally important to set up your yourpostage costs and your shipping costsand then the visibility and if you wantit to be managed the stock managed stockso that means you can automatically putit out of stock if you've only got a fewof these or something like soil they'llautomatically say to your customers oron your website that it's out of stockif it's been bought a certain number oftimes for example then you can add someproduct tags up here you can even changethe template and you've got categorieson the right and then you can change thestatus of this product if you don't wantit published anymore you can put it as adraft or anything that you want so I'mjust going to cancel to come out of thisthen I'm going to click on edit andyou're going to most likely just clickon edit for most things I have barelyuse quick edit really it's just as quickto just go into the main product hereand then you can change the title of theproduct of the yearand then in here you would change theproducts description so this is whereyou would type in what the product isand information about that productbelow you've got the product data so youcan change the price and the sale priceagain the inventory is here like I justexplained with the SKU and if you wantit to manage the stock for you and youcan change these stock status here aswell if it's out of stock or onbackorder or if you've only got oneversion or one one of these products youcan click here to only allow one of thisitem to be bought in a single order thenunderneath you've got a shipping whereyou can assign these shipping classeswhich I'll tell you all about soon thenyou've got linked products which can bereally useful if you want to upsellthings so if you've got another productyou can add that here so if I type inshoe it's going to search for all theother shoes in my shop and then I canadd one of these as an upsell it's likewhen you're in McDonald's and they askyou if you want to make it a meal so youget chips and a drink with it or make ita large or an extra-large whateverthat's that's an upsell then you've gotattributes for a product which can be soif you've got t-shirts you can add anattribute such as small or large mediumwhatever then in advanced you've gotpurchase notes and things like that thenunderneath here you've got a shortdescription and for example this isgoing to be the description that is justunderneath the title of the product andnext to the picture like you see here sothis is going to be the shortdescription and then the maindescription that is above is here downhere then these products look absolutelyamazing as you can see if I scrollaround it zooms in and I can change theimage just like that it's justincredible people can add as many asthey want and then add to but add tocart' and then you've got relatedproducts underneath this looks just sogoodso let's keep going so here we are againand underneath you've got reviews andobviously there's no comments yet thisis just a demo site on the right you'vegot a few things to consider so you'vegot product categories herenow a category can be really useful ifyou want people to find other otherproducts in that category so this one isin women's so obviously if someone isviewing this product they can click onthis category and it will show themother products in the same category sothat can obviously be good to get yourproducts in front of people and thenproduct tags underneath there your postattributes and these settings for thesethemes so Astra settings now I wouldn'tchange it I wouldn't change any of theseI just leave them as they are becausethis is all working really really wellproduct image and product gallery issomething you want to have a look at sothe product image if we if we have alook in the featured product sectionhere this is the product image the mainproduct underneath my cursor here so ifI now click on that see it changes as Iscrolled over it that would be the otherimage the product gallery so again thisis the product image and then the otherproduct other image is the image in theproduct gallery you've got tools here tochange how the text looks if you want tochange any of those that they're rightthere really easy to do that and againyou've got those there and it's as easyas that to create products in your shopso we'll be coming back to the productsand creating our products in a minutebut now let's go to pages and all pagesand as you can see in a minute you'regoing to have some default pages thatare already created with your with yournew shop so again it's done all of thisfor you you haven't had to create any ofthese pages and you've got about you'vegot a cart page checkout contact us homemy account we're not going to use anaccount in this in this video but youcan you can always set that up afterwatching this it's prettystraightforward you've got a privacypolicy a sample page a store which atthe moment is your shop page and a WPforms preview so I'm just going toremove a few of these pages that wearen't going to useI'm gonna click on those two and I'malso going to remove the account pageyou can keep this but I'm not going touse it and that's it for that I'm goingto keep everything else so now I'llscroll up here click here and click onmove to trash and apply alright so I'mleft with the about page and so on andwe actually only need two it looks likewe've got a lot of pages here too toedit and customize but we really don'twe're only going to do the about contactand home page and that's it the otherpages work on their own they're alreadyset up and functional they're going todo everything for you don't need tochange anything there the only thing wemight have to do later on is come backand edit each of these pages and justchange a couple of settings but I don'tthink we have to right now I thinkthey're all working completely fine sonow I'm going to go through doingcustomizing the home page and you dothat by clicking on edit with Elementorso let's do that right now I'm going toactually open this in a new tab so I canchange and click between windows righthere make things it just makes thingsmuch easier so here we go it's goinginto Elementor and as I said Elementoris just incredible as you can see or asI so this is your your header here thisis if I click here it opens up and makesit full width and this is really reallylooking amazing so if I bring back thecustomizer again as you can see as Iscroll around each of these elements hasa blue line around it and this means Ican edit anything here even thebackground image you can move textaround and change colors and fonts andeverything you can add in your ownimages and videos and I'm going to showyou exactly how to do that right now sohere I am on the finished website andthis is my header now all I've done ischange the background image and got ridof one of these buttons because I thinkthat looks much better and I'm going toshow you how to do all of this how tochange this textthe colors or whatever you want to do solet's go back to the home and so tochange the image is really simple you'vegot these different buttons up hereyou've this middle one is exactly howyou would change you image you can editthis section and then here is you canadd a section and if you click that it'sgoing to add a new section above hereI'm not going to do that but that's howyou do it so and then here you can clickon the cross to remove it so let's clickthe middle one to edit the section andthen this brings up the settings on theleft let's go to style and then in imagethis is exactly how you change the imageyou just click here and you can go toyour media library where you're mostlikely going to have lots of new imagesbecause these came with the templatesand you could if you wanted to you coulduse any of these if you do want to theyhave completely free features or you canupload files so I've put together areally really good selection of imagesfor you to use and you can find thatover on our blog if you just go towebsites made easy TV forward slash blogforward slash start your dream shop andyou can download that image pack righthere you just click here and it willdownload and then if you go back inElementor and you click on select filesand then find that image pack you've gotthese background images or whatever theyou newsies anywhere but these are thebackground images I think look reallygood and then you've got some images touse as products and you can just usethese for the video so you can followalong with me if you haven't got yourown products yet this just means you canfollow along with the video keep goingwith me and learn how to do this onceyou've got photos of your own images youcan then just re-upload those and and soon this just makes things really easyfor you so let's go back and I'm goingto use one of these background images Ithink I'm going to use this one becauseI just love this one it looks reallygood so click on it and click on openand that's going to upload as you cansee it's uploading right now and therewe go it's uploaded and in the future ifthis comes up with an error or anythingjust come out of here save anything thatyou've done by updating and then refreshthe page then do it again and it'll worksometimes you just need to refresh thepage for things to start working againfor some reason anyway so that'suploaded so now all you do is click oninsert media here and there we go it'sinserted out straight into your headerand that is looking absolutely amazingit's looking so much better so if I makethis full web how good does that lookWow okay I just like to love it so herewe go here you've got some settings forthis imageyou've got position which is at themoment on Center Center you can changethis to top left and this is going tomove the image around slightly dependingon the image that you use but I'm justgoing to leave on Center Center that canbe useful as I said depending on whatpicture you're using what you want toshow it in and so on attachment I likeit to be on fixed because that's whatgives it this really nice parallaxeffectit keeps the image in place when youscroll about and that looks really coolbut you can always keep it on a scrolland that will make sure the imageScrolls as the viewer looks around so itscrolls with the website I'm going tokeep it on fixed you don't need to worryabout repeat and size you generally youwant to keep it on cover and that'spretty much about it in backgroundoverlay this can be useful if you wantto darken or lighten the image at themoment it's got an overlay which is ablack and the opacity as you can see ison 0.4 if I increase this it's going todarken it and then if I decrease it likethat it's going to lighten it so I'mjust gonna probably keep it on a whatabout something like that or somethingyeah no it's good just like that andthen you've kundur Neath that you've gotborder shape divider and typography it'sgoing to shape divider that can be quitefun sometimes so if I go to bottom topand bottom the top is thetop of the section or your header hereand the bottom is the obviously thebottom of it so let's click on bottomand then you can select the type ofdivider so you'll see what I mean when Iadd on so let's add in let's just add ina tilt and there we go so it's added adivider I know it's long it's prettygood you can change the height a bithere just like that so you could justhave it a slight slight divider orsomething like that at the bottom thatdoes look really nice I'm not going touse one but that is there if you want itso it's going to click on none andthat's going to remove it like thatand that's it for changing an image thisis basically the same for every sectionon your on your website you would clickthis middle button and that will bringup the settings on the left here you canalso change the headers margin andpadding here as well so as you can seeit's got a top padding of 12 if Iincrease this it's going to move thingsdown if I decrease it moves up it'sgoing to keep on what it was becausethat looks really good and you messaround with us see how you like it itdoes change things slightly so it can bereally useful on depending depending onwhat you want to do with your header andthen layout you've also got some somedifferent options but you really don'tneed to change these if you don't wantto play around with things if you wantand see how things work because you canalways you know learn more and you youmight find something that you like to doanyway so that's the image done tochange text it's as easy as clicking onit so let's just click on this one thenyou would write anything here you'dwrite what you want in here you cancreate a link out of it as well if youjust paste the link in there you canalign it to the center or the left andthen in style this is where you changethe typography and the text color so ifI click on typography you can changewhat font that you want to use and andso on and the size you would justincrease and decrease this really reallyeasy to doand then the way this is this can bereally good if I changes to 300 makesthe makes the writing thinner which canlook really really good I'm just goingto keep you on what it was because I dolike the look of this and then obviouslyin text color you can mess around withthis and change it to any color that youwant I'm just going to keep on what itwas though and you know you don't reallyneed to do a lot here it's as I saidthis is the beauty of this video andthis template it's done everything foryou so really you don't need to changethis text just right in what you wantand leave it as it is make things easierfor yourself then you've got a couple ofbuttons here these are just as easy I'mgoing to remove one of these you cankeep it if you want to but I'm justgoing to remove it by right-clickingthis pencil icon and clicking on deleteand for this button all you do is clickon it then in here the text you'd writewhat you want so SHOP NOW or find outmore or whatever you want you can alignit again and here you would paste in thelink for that button so if you wanted totake people to your shop you would pasteyour shops link in there and to do thatprobably the best way is to open up yourshop in a new window while probablybetter to do it while you're not loggedinto your your website and thenobviously up in the address bar up hereis going to be the link and you justcopy you copy that while you're in theshop you copy that link and it's mostlikely gonna be something like your shopcomm the forward slash shop or somethinglike that and then all you do is justpaste that in there then you've got somelink options and this is probably quitegood open in a new window that canalways be good so I'm gonna keep thatand that's about it then you've got thesize you can change it to a medium orsmall and in style this is where you canchange the color of the button so at themoment the text color is black thebackground color is white and that is onnormal so this means while this meanswhile no one is scrolling over it so ifI make this full screennow scroll over here changes just likethat so it changes so the background istransparent and the writing changes to awhite that looks really really good andso that all happens in hover here so asyou can see the text color is whitebackground color there is none it'stransparent and as well the border coloris transparent – you can also have ahover animation here so if I chooselet's go with grow there we go so itmakes it as have a look so the buttongrows in size when I scroll over it allit's good as well so that's all therefor you I'm not going to have that one'sgonna remove that and then you canchange the width and the border radiusand padding of the button here this isall really useful to again customizeexactly customize your shop – exactlyhow you want it in advanced you've gotthe margin and padding again so this isreally useful if you want to again moveyour move different elements around soit's completely flexible so if Iincrease to the top padding you're goingto see that the button goes lower downthe header and then of course if Idecrease it comes back up again and youcan do this any way you want right leftany anything that you want here you gotthings like motion effects andbackground border a custom positioningresponsive responsive can be useful soif you've got so if you want tocustomize how your website or your shoplooks on a mobile device compared to alaptop or desktop you can choose to hidethis whole header on a mobile so itwon't show to people that visit yourshop on mobiles and then you can createa separate header for those peoplebecause your header might not lookexactly perfect to someone that visitson a mobile thankfully though we don'tneed to use this because this theme soif I just move this windowto how I move our looks so that is howyour shop would look on a mobile that'show the header would look and it looksperfectly fine it looks amazing in factso you don't really need to use thosesettings but they are there if you wantto use them and that's your header doneyou know everything of how to customizeyour header that's all done now so let'sgo to the next section which is andthese could be the different brands thatyou work with all the different brandsin your shop that you that you sell thisis really easy to do you just click toeditor and at the top it's got an imagecarousel and then you can add images youjust click to edit that you can edit thegallery here you can add to gallery soan edit gallery you can cross and youcan remove these images or you can addto gallery you can add in your own logosof the brands that you work with forexample and that's just just as easy asthat you can change how how big theimages are the slides to show and how itscrolls and stretching the images andall kinds of things you can add in alink as well to a custom URL so it couldbe to your shop it's all all so easyjust look around it's all here ready foryou in style you've got navigationoptions so arrows and what positionthere insert inside or outside I'm justgoing to keep it on the outside and thenin image you've got some some optionsthere too and in advance again you'vegot the margin and padding just likebefore so that is that section donealready so now let's scroll down and thenext section is this one right here andthis is actually a really really goodarea where you can get people to go toyour shop or different areas of yourwebsite using these three beautifulsections or elements here so first let'sdo the images and change an image youwould just scroll over here and clickthis button right here then go to styleand you can change the image right hereso let's do that let's click on styleand then upload files and select filesand again find the imagesnow let's go to products and I'm gonnause this image right here and as you cansee this has come up with an error andremember earlier I said if this doescome up with an error when you'reuploading an image all you do is do thefollowing I'm gonna show you so youwould come out of hereyou would then update right here to saveeverything that you've done then refreshthe whole page just refresh this page itwill go back into Elementoryou would find this section again clickto edit the image upload select filesand choose the image that you want againand then that will upload no problemthere we go perfect now click on insertmedia and that gets placed in there thatis looking fantastic so now I'm going todo the other two images again so styleselect the image upload files and selectfiles it's the same as we've been doingyou should probably be used to how to dothings now I'm going to use this imageand for the next image I'm going to usethese paddles and there we go perfectand remember you've got these optionsdown here to edit your images you canuse position to change exactly how theimage looks so if you know you can moveit around and select which part of theimage shows up the most for everythingelse though this looks this looks greatso I'm going to leave them as they arethen you can edit the text easily justby clicking it again that's what I'mgoing to be doing I'm just going tochange this it's going to do it just forthis demo website I'm going to put 20%off long boards cuz I'm doing like asurfing website or outdoor website thenfor this text I'm going to change thatagain to latest sups stand-uppaddleboards and then let's get paddlingfor the paddles there we goI know you've got these buttons here aswell and these are what you you want toadd your links to because this getspeople to look at the different pages onyour website so let's say you've got adedicated shop area just for yourpaddles or just for surfboards you takethem to that page obviously so now allwe do is click on it you can change thetext and here is where you add in yourlink and like I said before you can getthis link if you go to your own websitebring up the page that you want peopleto go to and you copy the link at thetop it's really easy and you type thatin here you paste that in here it's aseasy as thatyou can also align the button any wayyou want and also the size here butthat's all looking fantastic there we goperfectso the next section if I scroll down isthis featured products section and asyou can see I don't have anything hereright now but we're going to fix that wejust need to add in some products so ifwe have a look at the finished website Iscroll down here is what it actually issupposed to look like and as I scrollover these these products as you can seesome of the image change they go toanother image and I think this looksreally really good and I'm going to showyou how you can make that happen and howhow to make that work in a moment whenwe create off our products and I tookyou through obviously like how whatproducts look like but I didn't show youexactly how to create them so now we'regoing to do that so that's update tosave everything that we've done herethen go back to your dashboard if you'vegot a key tab open just click on thatotherwise you can go back to yourdashboard from element I like I showedyou earlier so now let's go to productsand all products and here you're goingto see that you've got lots and lots ofdefault products already created andthis came with the the template when weimported it so no worries about that butwhere we obviously don't want these sowe're going to delete these and we'regoing to create some new productsthere's quite a fair few defaultproducts here so what I'm going to do isclick here to select all of these andthen from this drop-down select move totrash and apply and there's a few pagesof these so I'm going to keep on doingthat until I get to the last page andthen here I'm gonna select all of thembut take off one or two keep one or twoof these and then apply and there we goyou should be left with a couple of justdefault products because um well this isjust for the demo website so you can seeit working and so on but obviously youwould create your own products I'm goingforward you don't want to use thesedefault ones and over here you can seethis star this is what you want toselect to make an individual product afeatured product so you just click onthis to make it featuredand then it would show up in thatfeatured section so I'm going to clickon this to under feature that productthere we go and now let's create ourfirst product so up here let's click onadd a new and this is the page whereyou're going to be creating yourproducts for your shop so I'm going toshow you aroundit's the same as I showed you earlier soyou'll probably know what it reallylooks like and how it works but nowwe're gonna actually be creating productso let's go let's go do itso first things first is your productname so all you do is type that in hereso I'm going to put sunset surfer girlposter and then scroll down and then inhere is where you enter your productsdescription so I've already got someI've written so I'm just gonna pastethat in here there we go and then I'mgoing to scroll down and you've got yourproduct data here so this is this islike the price sale price inventory andshipping and so on so first of all I'mgoing to put the pricethere we go and then in inventory youcan use an SKU like I explained earlierI'm not going to use one though and inshipping you would want to change yourshipping class you'd select a shippingclass and this defines the cost of thepostage for each individual product solet's say for this poster obviously it'snot going to be as much as a surfboardsso then based on what someone wants tobuy the postage will change in thecheckout so it's pretty clever it worksreally well and it isn't complicated butI will show you how to do it you justneed to learn how to do it and then onceyou've done it once or twice you'll geta hang of it no problem and we'll bedoing that in a moment I'll show you allabout that soon and then I don't use anyany of these other options here so thenI'll scroll down and I'll paste the samedescription in here this is the shortdescription which shows up to the rightof the image or your product so I'mgoing to paste the same thing in therethen I'm going to scroll up and on theright you've got things like categoriesso as I explained earlier categories arereally useful if you've got lots ofdifferent products so for this demo siteI've got surfboards I've got paddlesI've got wetsuits and posters so eachproduct has its own category so postersis always obviously posters surfboardsor surfboards and if someone comes to myshop and goes on one surfboard productthere you can then click on the categorywhich will be underneath and it willshow them all the other surfboards in myshop so this this is obviously reallyuseful to get more of your products infront of your customersso let's now click on add a new categoryhere and then just type in your categoryname I'm going to put posters and thenclick on add new category and that getsadded I'm then gonna create some morecategories so I can so I've got themgoing forwards so surfboards and thenwetsuitsand there we go I'm going to uncheckwetsuits because this is a poster so Ijust want it in a posters category youcan also use product tags if you likeand you don't want to change any ofthese settings down here the last thingyou want to do is add in a product imagehere so let's click on set product imagethen upload files and I'm going to usethis image for this girl carrying asurfboardthat looks amazingso let's you choose that that'suploading perfect and then you want toclick on set product image and that getsuploaded there we go perfect and that'sabout itso you now scroll up and click onpublish and that is your first productcreated well done it's as easy as thatso all your other products are the samethat's all you do to create a productremember though you want to add in ashipping class which we'll be doing in amoment I'm just going to show you showyou I'm going to probably show you howto do that right now in fact becausethat is really important going forwardsso let's go to WooCommerce and settingsand so the first thing you can do is addin your store address I recommend you doall of this add in your store addressand your zip code and select from yourgeneral options where you're sellinglocation is your shipping location andthings like this you can enable taxesand all their sideand then go to product yeah let's go toproducts first and this enables you tochange which of your website's pagesshows up as your shop page and right nowit's on store so that's fine and you canchange things like Add to Cart behaviorand all these different settings likemeasurements and and so on I mean youdon't have to change any of these butthat's there if you want to and ininventory you've got things like managestock and you can hold stock for acertain number of minutes for for unpaidorders and that's entirely up to you ifyou want to do that or not you've gotnotification recipient email and thingslike that so now at the top let's go toshipping and this is where you can setup your shipping zones so down hereyou've got your different shipping zonesobviously you haven't got any right nowso let's click on add really easy let's click on add aship in class and in here all you do istype in a name for let's say each ofyour products so I've got surfboardslike I said so I'm going to putsurfboards and then I'm gonna add ashipping class again and then I'm goingto put wetsuits and add another one I'mgonna put paddles then I'm gonna saveshipping classes perfect and you canedit them if you want to but that alllooks great now I forgot to add one moreso I'm just gonna add in anothershipping class and posters then I'mgoing to go back to shipping zones thenedit this USA shipping zone and in hereyou want to scroll down go down to theflat rate again click on edit and inhere is where you can put in each of thedifferent postage costs for eachdifferent type of product so as you cansee you've got puddles posterssurfboards wetsuits so each of these hasa different cost the cost of a wetsuitis going to be different to a surfboardso this is how you differentiate thatand in the calculation cost I'm going tokeep that on charge shipping for eachshipping class individually ok perfectthey're not going to save changes andyou're all done that is your shippingsetup that should be all workingperfectly so now let's go back toproducts and all products and we've gotour product that we made here as well asa two other default ones so you canclick on quick edit to quickly add inthe shipping class here to this productand here it is down here shipping classand you just click here andselect I'm going to select postersperfect and then just update that andthat shipping class has been added sonow I'm also gonna actually I'm going toclick on the star here to make this afeatured product perfect okay so nowlet's add in a few more products I'mgoing to click on add new again andwe're back on this screen so obviouslyyou want to put in your product namehere we go a hydro force paddle I'mgoing to add in a puddle then add in thedescription and remember you've gotthese tools up here to change how thetext one ofthese paddles you can click to enablestock management it's a product leveland then the last view harmony you'vegot and it's real easy so that's therethen you've got shipping and obviouslyin here we can select our shipping classso let's do that I'm going to selectpebbles so we're done and then just addin your description again see how easythis is and then remember yourcategories on the right here I haven'tadded a paddle one so I'm going to dothat so paddles and then it's going toselect that for me perfect and then I'mgoing to scroll down and the productimage can and uploadmilesand I'm gonna choose this image for thepanels this is a really cool-lookingimage remember you can use any of thesethat you want to any wear on your shopand that's all done I'm not going to usea product gallery image I'll explain allabout that in a moment so then let'spublishperfect and now let us create anotherproduct we'll create another one or twoso let's click on add new product againput in the product title or the name ofthis product and then the descriptionthen the product data the price and soon you should have to do this by nowit's really easy really straightforwardit's the same every timeshipping classshort description and the product imagei'm gonna upload another image selectthat one that looks great and now i'mgonna upload a product gallery image andthis can just be one other products find outmore I definitely recommend doing thatand you most likely will young you'rehardly ever going to have just one imageof your product so make sure you use theproduct image gallery so for this demoshop example I'm just going to use thesedefault to default products here just tomake them featured so they are in thefeatured section so I don't need tocreate any more product so I'm justgoing to use theseso again if these are highlighted ifthese stars are like you know if they'recolored like this then that means it's afeatured product so now if we have alook at our shop there we go I've gotthose two as featured products as welland they're looking so good they've gotthe product gallery going on there aswell it's looking amazing and if I clickon one of these let's click on thissurfboard product right click on therethere we go it's ready to go so I canadd that to my cart so if I add that tothe cart it's going to show up up herelittle notification saying it's beenadded and it's in the car shopping bagright up here and it's just so nicelooking it's so professional and looksfantastic really really hope that you'rehappy your shop is really comingtogether so nicely you should be reallyproud and this product is looking sogood absolutely beautiful it's just itjust works flawlessly and as fluidlyit's really goodokay I am back in the products and nowwe're gonna set up WooCommerce now we'vegot our products set up we're gonnafinish doing all of this by making surewe commerce is properly set up andrunning well and that means you can setup payments PayPal as well as card usingstripe so here let's click on run thesetup wizard and it's going to take youthrough a few steps and it's really easyso it's going to ask you where is yourstore based so let's just select wherethe stores based and then enter youraddress here what currency you want toyou accept payments in what kind ofproducts you sell and you can choosewhether you want to select that or notand then click on let's go and this nextpage is going to ask you about paymentswhether you want to use stripe andPayPal and yeah we do so I'm gonnaenable keep stripe enabled and I'm gonnaenable PayPal right here and it's gonnaask you if your paypal email addressobviously this is really importantbecause this is where you're going toget payments to as well as your stripeemail but we're gonna set stripe up in amoment so just enter your email therefor both just make sure it's an emailthat you can access because I is officeLea really important you can also choosewhether you want to accept offlinepayments such as cash on delivery or acheck or whatever you want right therethen click on continue and here you canhave the option to print shipping labelsat home and of course you know this isentirely up to you you can then choosewhat product weight and dimensions youwant to use kilos grams pounds and so onfrom there and then just click oncontinue and then it's asking you aboutautomated taxes MailChimp and Facebookand of course this is entirely optionalso go ahead and check or uncheck thesethen click on the continue if you wantto use MailChimp and Facebook it's goingtoto install these plugins for you so dothat if you want to then click oncontinue and here it's asking if youwant to connect your shop with jetpackjetpack is just a plugin which enhancesyour website a bit better and but I'mnot gonna go ahead with this have a lookat it and see if you want to but I'mjust gonna skip at this step because youdon't really need it then you can signup for product updates and so onand you're done now you're already alldone there we go so you can obviouslycreate a product straight from there butwe've done this already so that's allgood you can also import products ifyou've got them in a CSV file rightthere but all you have to do now isvisit dashboard you're gonna have a fewnew notifications up here so I'm gonnakeep this area organized I'm gonna crossthis one out I'm gonna cross this one gonnajust type that in here just like thatand so that's how the menu is looking atthe moment and you want this to be theprimary menu right there okay so to addnew pages to your menu all you do isselect them here so let's say so if Ididn't have the about page here let'sremove that if I click on the about andthen add to menu I guess I didn't justlike that so I can rearrange by clickingand dragging choose where or how I wantit to look now one thing for the shopyou're going to have obviously differentpages for your different productspotentially so I've got surfboards andwetsuits so if you scroll up here andclick on screen options and then enableproduct categories right there thenminimize that again then scroll downhere and you've got product categoriesright here so open that up and you canadd in your different categories as themenu items so I'm going to add insurfboards posters paddles and I'm gonnamake that do I think surfboards postersand paddles yeah just for now that'sfine so I'm going to add to menu andthen obviously that's just going to beadded to the menu has its own menu itembut really I want that to be part of theshowso if someone Scrolls over the shop it'sgoing to drop down so you do that byclicking and dragging putting puttingthat over the shop just like that andyou can see there's a rectangle box thatcomes up just so that it goes to theright not like that but like that thenyou just drop that in it becomes a subitem of that shop so that's what you doso do that again there we gofour paddles and then paddles posters sothey're they're all set up perfectly andthen you can move those around as wellif you want to and there we go so thatis really all you have to do for yourmenu and then that's linked to all thepages that that you want there you mightwant to have let's say you might want tohave your checkout page on there orsomething of course or the cart it'sentirely up to you I mean people caneasily check out using this icon at thetop and then clicking on checkout orcart easily from there so there's noneed to clutter up the menu if you don'tif you don't want to so then all youhave to do here is save menu and that isyour main menu complete so now if we goand have a look at the websitethere's our new menus you've got theabout contact us and there's your shopwith the drop down going to eachindividual category page so if you hadlots of surfboards if I click on thisit's going to take me to that page whereall the surfboards would be there we goand then have all my products here thisis looking just amazing and then you'vegot a bestsellers section there a searchbar there absolutely amazing people canbrowse by categories and then filter byprice all right guys so you've done yourmenu and now all you want to do is carryon doing your homepage we've nearly doneit so we've just done this featuredproduct section and they're not comingup it doesn't matter they are there sothat's all good let's just scroll downand we've got this section next so if welook on the finished website this iswhat it looks like it's absolutelybeautiful it's got parallax effect thisis just normal text like you've donebefore you've got a really really coollittle discount code right here whichI'm going to show you how to set up godbutton background image looking allgreat and I'm going to show you how toset up a coupon code in a moment so youcan change this one right here so let'sgo into home and our Elementor I'malready in it I've got my tab open ifyou haven't and you're new on thedashboard just go to pages and all pagesfind your home and open up withElementor so here is the next sectionthat we want to edit and to do that wejust click here which edits thebackground image same as before this isexactly the same as you've been doingreally media library whereyou can use any image you want or youcan upload one I would recommend youobviously using an icon that istransparent as you can see there'ssquares in the background all that meansit's transparent and that will lookperfect against the white background soif you've got that that would be betterto use you can obviously edit the textand you can change the title anddescription productso you've got a search you got theproducts by rating bestsellers thecategories and the filter by price sothat can be obviously really useful ifyou want to edit any of these we're notgoing to though I'm going to leave it asit is it looks great so let's go tofooter area one so if we go to thefinished website and down to the footerso we've got Quick Links and so we'vegot about cart and contact us right nowand if we go back to the widgets sowe've got a navigation menu and this isQuick Links so if we open that up thetitle is Quick Links select menu sothese are the different menus that youhad in your appearance here and in menusso if we I'll open this up in a new tabto show you so if we go into that you'vegot all your different menus in here ifyou remember so here is you here areyour menus at the top so if you're gonnado Quick Links right here and selectthat and here are the menu items thatshow up in that Quick Links menu I'mgonna remove that because it's not validanymore remove this one and there we goso you can add in anything you want hereobviously into that menu and it's gonnaand it's going to show up in your footerdown here under this Quick Links menuyou can change and move these aroundchange what they say you don't even haveto have any of this if you don't wantyou just delete all of them but thisdoes look really really good soobviously in this menu you would add inwhat you want then save the menu and itwill update and you'll have whateveryou've put in there on your footer if wego back into the widgets area let's goto footer area or widget area to gotanother navigation menu got one calledfor her so obviously this is like a menufor women and that's going to have itsown menu items so if we go back into themenus and select forand it's really easy you just selecteach one of the navigation menus andthen customize it to what you wantinside that menu so depending on whatyou sell you can change what's aroundhere to make basically it makes it easyfor people to get around your shop andfind all your different products so youknow you might not have women's jeans ortops but change it to whatever you dohave change this menu to prove to whatyou do have and then save it and it'sgonna update on this footer and lookincredible and be really reallybeneficial to your customers unless andthat's all you have to do for thatfooter your different areas here like Isaid just update each one and it's aseasy as thatokay now we're done with the menu andfooter you've completed your homepagethe footer is set up and workingperfectly that's going to update on allof your pages so everything's comingtogether really really nicely your shopis looking incredible all we want to dois a about page and contact page if youwant to do those you might not have acontact page you want to have an aboutpage but if you do I'm going to show youhow to edit each of those so the nextthing I'm going to show you though thisis really important is to set up yourstripe account keys so let's click setup your Skype account keys and it's nowgoing to take you to this page and thisis the WooCommerce settings and inpayments so now if we scroll down herewe're in stripe as you can see and youcan enable or disable stripe by clickinghere and you can change the title if yougo over here it's gonna this controls atitle which the user sees duringcheckout so you don't have to the opacity or the color see as Ichange this it darkens or changes to adifferent color let's just keep it likearound what it was and then there's aline again and some text so these socialmedia you just icons you just click andyou can click on Facebook or Twitter orwhatever and add in your links righthere to your social media platformschange your color there and and in styleyou've got the color you can change itto the official color which I quite likeI'm going to change the size slightly sothat's slightly smaller I think thatlooks really good and then you've gotpadding and spacing and all that goodstuff and then icon hover you can I'mgonna add in a grow I think this looksreally good yeah that looks great so I'mgonna keep that and that's about it foryour social media you can obviouslyyou've got margin and padding andadvanced but that is about it so I'mhappy to say you've got this sectionunderneath actually but remember we'vedone this before you click to edit andin fact this as you can see is the sameas your team member section it's thesame kind of same kind of element you'vegot the link down here so you'vefinished your about page and that islooking absolutely amazing hope you'rehappy you've got you can you can clickhere you can move things around byclicking and dragging just like this ifyou wanted to now that can be reallyuseful obviously torearrange how your website looks or howyour shop looks I'm just going to movethat down there againwherever there's a blue line you canmove it too and I'm going to remove afew things I'm I'm not gonna remove thiswhole section but you would do you couldby clicking that I'm not gonna removethat I'm gonna remove this one now andI'll remove one section of these I thinkjust here there we go I notice thatlooks thefinished website so perfect so as I saiddown here you've got a contact form sothis this is a completely optionalit looks amazing but as you can see if Iclick it you've got a little short codehere that says WP forms now to use thisthis is actually a paid plugin and it'snot very expensive it's only I thinkit's around 30 or 40 dollars for theyear and it works amazingly I'm notgoing to explain how to use it in thisvideo but it's so straightforward if youdid want to keep this and use it it'llbe on your toolbar on the Left it's veryvery easy just go and have a look butI'm not going to show you because I'mgoing to show you a free way that peoplecan contact you and both ways are reallygood it's completely up to you what youwant to do if you want a free way if youwant to pay for it right now I'm goingto show you how to do that right now butyeah this is WP forms and it's a paidplugin so I'm just going to remove thisjust like that and then I'm gonna removethat as well and okay so I'm going toadd in some social media icons byclicking here and I'm going to click anddrag those those social icons there I'mgoing to align them to the left andresize them so using social mediaplatforms people can contact you but italso grows your community so is doesboth both ways it's fantastic and againyou just add in your Facebook page linkthere and your Twitter and so on you canadd new items there adding anything youwant all kinds of platforms so that is afree way of doing it instead of payingfor WP forms or another plug-in ofcourse getting people to enter theiremail on a form is a hugely beneficialway of building up your email list andI'm not going to go into that in thisvideo but we have many many videos onour channel that tell you all aboutbuilding an email list our word deaf anddefinitely recommend starting to buildan email list especially if you've got ashop it's really really important tostart doing that so yeah go and have alook at one of our videos that explainsall about that that will that would be avery very good step for you and also ifyou ever want to undo something or goback in time on your shop you can clickhere and you've got history here and youjust click this to go back to somethingthat you had before this only works ifyou haven't updated though so if youhaven't updated for the last half anhour or something you can go back a halfan hour ago to help whatever it was ifyou if you did something you don't wantanymore something that is how you can dothat okay now I want to show you how tocustomize things on your shop thingslike the logo at the top and the defaultcolors as well as some really reallyuseful other things so we want to go toyour parents and customize here this isgoing to take you to the customizer andit's kind of like the kind of the insideof your shop or your website like abehind-the-scenes or something like thatso here you've got some differentoptions as you can see shows you a livepreview of your shop here which isreally useful for when you're editing itand as well you can see you've got someof those shortcuts pencil icon is goingto take you to the menu options andthings like this this is going to takeyou to the logo we're going to be usingthose in a minute so on the Left you'vegot different options you've got alayout and you've got a header siteidentity so it looks like we can do ourlogo here in fact so yeah I'll explainthat to you right now since we're hereso you can obviously change the logo oryou can remove it they've also bydefault got a retina logo you can changeto have a different logo for mobiledevices and that is really usefulbecause obviously mobiles or iPads aremuch smaller so you don't need a such ahigh resolution imageso that can be good logo widthyou've got your site title there andyour tagline so make sure to fill thosein does the site title whatever you knowwhat your company name is or somethingand your tagline just say a you knowhave a brief description of what you dowhat your company does and you candisplay the site title or site titletagline here you can have it in linewith the logo and site height or anothersite icon which is the icon next to yourweb address here you'll be up hereyou've probably seen it before like inGoogle they've got a thing they calllike a G or something so that's the logothat's pretty straightforward you justyou know change it and or you remove itcompletely you don't have to haveanything now if you don't want to solet's go back then you've got primaryheader got different layouts here youwant to kind of be careful what you playaround with here you're not going tobreak anything because if you dosomething you don't like to save it youhave to publish anyway so you know youcould just you know play around and seewhat happens with things but just becareful that you don't completely messeverything up and then click on publishyou know you can always just click outof here or go back so let's go back andthen we've got a transparent header andagain this is uh different logos and youcan enable on desktop so this means theheader is transparent you see it'ssee-through like up here the the menuthere's nothing behind it it's just theimage on the header that looks fantasticso I wouldn't change anything now solet's go back again you've got all kindsof things here so you've got a blog hereas well if you're thinking of having ablog it's a hugely beneficial thing tohave we've got a video all about it it'svery very easy to get started but I'mnot gonna go into that in this video butagain if you've got a shop obviouslyyou've got a shop pewters made yourwebsite but having a shop and uptogether is really really as such a goodidea having a blog brings people whichyour website brings people to your shopit's just another way to get yourproducts and your brand and your companyin front of in front of eyes in front ofpeople out there you wanna make it aseasy as possible for people to get toknow you so having a blog does exactlythat it's really really good yoursidebar options you've got your footeroptions here footer widgets we wentthrough that already footer barso you've got we scroll down you've gotthis copy of right these copyrightdetails down here so you might not wantto have that and you can disable thatright there just click on disable or youcan change what it says here in adifferent section section 1 and section2 so that's really easy you've gotfooter bar width is why you can changehow it looksthat's all straightforward and easyyou've got WooCommerce here as well andshop so you've got your shop columns howthe products are structured so the titleis gonna be first then the categoryprice ratings you don't want to showsomething such as ratings you can justclick on I here and because it's grayedout it's not going to show that sothat's easypretty straightforward again you canchoose how many products per page thereand then your container all kinds ofoptions herecolors and background I like the defaultcolors to your to your shop so you canlike a theme color link color thingslike that you can change those inElementor as well so you've got theheader kind of colors there as wellso the go up to the menu you've got themenu colors there and you can possiblylink archives of the menu this has menucolors there you can change those thereand footer widgets again at a bartypography is the overall typeagra fee for your shop and you have blogthere as well you've got buttons themebutton there we go that's how you canedit that and yeahI would literally got menus here changeyour menus but I think it's probablyeasier to do that how I showed youearlier it's much betterwidgets home page settings or wouldn'tchanges us once you do have a blog youwant to change posts page to blog andthen it will start showing up then itwill start showing your blog for thedifferent with different blog posts thatyou've created you've got a WooCommerceoption here so you've got store noticeso if you wanted to you can enable astore notice which is going to show upif we enable this it's going to show upa little notice at the top so this canbe really really good if you've got asale or something people will see thisimmediately when they go to your to yourshop that can be really really good yougot product catalog so the shop pagedisplays products or categories oranything you want their categoriesdisplay the products product images youcan change the main width and thethumbnail ratios there and the checkoutcompany name and all of their privacypolicy all kinds of options so look intoit and based on your company in who youare you might want to change a fewthings but it all is all workingperfectly so there's not a lot to doyou've got additional CSS here if youwant to ever use that and that is yourcustomizer it's a it's just a good wayof getting into like I said the behindthe scenes of your shop or somethingthere's just some a few settings youmight want to have a look outso let's come out of here by clickingthe cross all right and you have nowfinished your online shop and this islooking so so beautiful guys I reallyhope you're happyand going forward you've got somethingyou've got a becomplete you'll be ready to go and readyto sell your things so now I want toshow you a little bonus step which isgoing to make sure your webs your shopis completely secure it's a plug-in thatwe have started using at websites madeeasy it's one of the most popularsecurity plugins on WordPress and I'mgoing to show you that now so let's goto plugins and addand this is just gonna you know give youa peace of mind make sure that your shopis secure people can buy from you withno problems so now go to search pluginsand type in word fence here is wordfence security and you can see it's gotfive stars that's amazing and it waslast updated a week ago and that'sreally important so now let's click oninstall and then activate and now you'veactivated that you're going to have ifyou scroll down on your toolbar you'regoing to have a new option word fenceright here and you're also going to havea notification on your plugins so if youscroll down it says plug-in activatedand then please complete word fenceinstallation so you can enter your emailhere if you want word fence to send yousecurity alerts and this can be a goodidea so you know what's going on so justenter email in there and then they'vegot a mailing list as well you canchoose to join and then accept and thencontinue then it might come up with thislittle notification so click on resumeinstallation okay it looks like you haveto put an email in here so they can sendyou a security alerts and this is goingto install or finish the installation ofword fence so I'm going to enter anemail and now it's asking you if youwant to activate premium but the freeversion is completely fine so I'm goingto click on no thanksthere we go and now it's finishing theinstallation so now if we scroll downyou can you'll see you've got you've gotlots and lots of different options -such as firewall blocking scan you don'tyou can learn all about this on wordfences website or blog there's quite alot you can do here I'm not going to gointo itword fence is working for you now it'sset up and it's going to be scanningyour website and making sure there's noone trying to get in so you can be justrest assured and be happy that it's allsecure obviously I would definitelyrecommend going to learn about wordfence this is new to me as well so youknow go and learn about it make surethat youyou are using it to its full advantageand and that your website really issuper secure because obviously you'regonna be selling things people gonna beusing their cards and all that and thatis it guys you've you've just finishedyour first shop online you on the build show today top-five dumbestbuilding products let's get going tothis one right here number one on mylist this one has bugged me for yearsthis is a cardboard sheathing basicallya paper-based sheathing product can youbelieve that this is used all over thecountry this has been in use probablyfor 20 or 30 years in America and stilltoday I'm in a brand new house in anunknown location look at thatcardboard sheathing here's a littlesample of it right hereprefer not to show you the manufacturerno need to have them call me but look atthis this is basically a cardboardsheathing a paper-based sheathing thathas some kind of a plasticy finish onthe outside but think how well that isgonna last on this building and this isalso the waterproofing layer look atthat I can literally rip the sheathingand that's what's doing the shear onthis house that's also what's keepingthe water out of the house how do you doanything for this this is terrible lookit's also super susceptible to thejobsite damage probably the Mason orsomebody poked this on the outside we'vegot a big rip right here the only thingthe Builder can do to waterproof it isuse some spray foam around there butlook at this I mean this is thesheathing for the house and this houseis meant to last I don't understand howwe're paper-based product is gonna workokay number two on my list pin punchedplastic house wraps you know these aresold this particular one is sold underseveral different brand names I'm sureit's third party labeled but you cantell by the kind of crosshatch label ifyou look up close on here and if youhold it up to the Sun or a bright lightsource you can actually see pinpointlight sources out of there it'sbasically a plastic wrap that they punchpin needles through there and that's howthey get the permeability but check thisout this house wrap is totally notwaterproof here's a little test you cando for any house wrap to see how well itdoes and let alone we're adding let'ssay we're adding some staples when weadd it to the wall of a house but let'scheck this out real quick quickdemonstration I put some water on thetop of the house wrap I put a papertowel underneath we're gonna let thissit for about five minutes and come backand see what it looks like okay it'sbeen likefour minutes let's see how this housewrap did on a waterproofing test againremember there's no punctures in this wedidn't do anything to this we didn'tstaple through it and let's look at ithere's my little bounty right therecheck that out look that hold it up tothe light this is not a waterproof housewrap we do not want this on ourbuildings because our sensitive buildingmaterials are going to get wet this testwas for five minutes and this test isclearly showing this house rap let'swater through you do not want apin-basedhouse rap number three on my listrecessed tankless units now this one isset up for a brick or a stone facade onthe outside but look at this recess unitright here they had to cut it into thesheathing and the tank is actuallyrecessed back in here now it's not thetankless unit itself it's this recessedkit that I think is terrible terribleproduct and let me show you why let'swalk around the inside I'm going to showyou what's back there follow me it'sthis right here that I don't like sothis this guy's flushed out with a 2x4wall on the inside you can see this hereand see how much light we've got showingaround here so it's really hard to airseal these now we are in a garage inthis particular location but my biggestissue with these recessed tankless isright here look we've got all our supplypipes coming in here we've got a gasline looks like we've got water supplyhere and then hot is coming out howwould you ever both air seal this buthow do you keep the water out – andyou've got a recessed tankless like thiswe just have a one or two foot overhangon the outside there's gonna be waterinside this unit and then it's going toleak down into here which means that tenyears fifteen years from now this wholecavity is gonna be a mess there's evenbe mold growth in here there's gonna berot I just don't like them it's not agood idea we should either mount thistankless in the garage and then thenpipe it through the roof or a directline out or we should mount it on theoutside of the cladding and let the letit show these recessed boxes dumbproducts not a fannumber four in my list paper baseflashing look at this you see thisdetail all over Texas where the framersput this on but before they put thesheathing on on the outside of the wallthe idea is this is meant to protectwater from coming up underneath thisbottom platebut what it's not doing is notprotecting the sensitive edge at thebottom of the sheathing now Huber zipgreat product but on this cut edge weneed to protect that from moisture comeon around here and I'm going to show youwhat's happening so here's our brickledge right here and this paper-basedflashing this is gonna degrade within areally short period of time I remodeledthe house just a couple years ago thatwas maybe six seven years old and thiswas absolutely mush you could pull itapart after just a couple of short yearsso this is number one not gonna protectthe water from coming back underneaththat bottom plate but it's also notgonna protect this cut edge on our OSBsheathing right here that's not good wewant to protect that sheathing the wayto do this correctly is to use aflashing that's gonna come down here andcome on to the brick ledge I madeanother video on this a while back onhow to do this correctly with some prosto go products and protect this bottomedge I'll put a link in the descriptionto do this right but paper base flashingdumb product and last but not leastnumber five direct vent gas fireplacesthis is a dumb building product weshould stop using these these cheapmetal boxes with these cheesy log setsyou're not fooling anybody no one thinksthis is a real fire in your house buthere's the real problem I have withthese see how this flue right here goesthrough the sidewall this is a directevent unit these flus have two bigproblems number one it's a huge hole inyour thermal envelope see how you haveno insulation around that that flue getsreally hot because we've got those hotgases going through there so we can'tlet anything touch it no combustiblescan be around there number two it's alsoa huge air leak and most installationsI've seen see where we've got thatcaller right there around that fluecoming through we can't seal that callerwe can't use spray foam in there wecan't use a cocking because it needs tobe able to be combustion ready and wedon't want it getting super hot as aresult you basically have a giant airleak every time you put one of these inthe house air leak means energy loss italso means any time air can get in thatalso could be a source for bugs get inyour house this is as if we have awindow that's cracked in our house thatwe can never close for the life of thebuilding we don't want one of these guysdo not youa direct vent gas fireplace and whilewe're on the topic don't put a ventlessfireplace either either in that is ahuge nono guys hope in this video I will show you everythingyou need to know to set up your firstonline store using Wix so this is atutorial for e-commerce websites usingWix which is obviously an extremelypowerful tool so many people use it tobuild their websites because it's verypowerful it's very easy and it's prettyaffordable as far as website builders goso with that in mind if you're choosingWix to build your site this video willbe a step-by-step tutorial showing youeverything you need to know all thetools all of the settings to take youfrom an absolute beginner to having afull-blown store at the end of thisvideo so with that in mind we have a lotto cover here stick around for theentire video and the first thing we wantto do is actually open up a browserI recommend Google Chrome hopefullythat's what you're watching this videoon already if not any other browserworks Google Chrome I find is a littlebetter though just because you can havesome extensions that further on down theroad might help with your website but ifyou're building it on a differentbrowser that's not a problem so what youwant to do is go down in the descriptionof this videohold down ctrl on your keyboard andclick on the link at the top of thedescription and that will open up a newtab and it should look something likewhat we're seeing right here now insteadit might have a big picture and a bigblue button in the middle click on thethe button will probably say get startedor something click on that create anaccount and it'll bring you to this pageright here now this page what we want todo is go up to the top right click onthe create new site button and we'regetting started with our site so itopens up a new tab here and asks us whattype of website we want to create now aquick disclaimer Wix from time to timemay change the first step here it mightlook slightly different but if it looksdifferent for you just stick around I'msure it'll look similar in a couplesteps down the road so what we have hereis many options we can choose businessdesigner blog we're setting up an onlinestore so it makes sense to click thatnow and what that is essentially doingis it's adding the application to ourwebsite to have an online store so it'sadding the cart the Thank You page theproducts like stuff like that is beingadded right now now if we use any otheryou know a photography layout or if weuse other layout whatever you're usingif you use those you can still add astore later on and I'll show you whereyou woulddo that but for us we're just going toclick online store make our lives alittle bit easier now the next step isto choose if we want the ADI creator orif we want the Wix website editor so theADI creator goes through a bunch ofquestions and just kind of puts yourwebsite out right away it's less it'sless customizable so you can't optimizeit quite as much but it is a lot quickernow in this video first stores if you'rebeing serious about your business Ireally recommend you go to choose atemplate with the Wix editor so we'regoing to do that in this video and itbrings you to this template page righthere now remember before I said that itdidn't really matter what you clicked onin the first step that's because all ofthose are on the left side so businessis right there photography video itdoesn't really matter you can click onany of those in the first step and itjust brings you to this makes it seemeasier it's really the same thing sofrom here what you want to do is go downand choose a template that you thinklooks good it doesn't really matterwhich one you choose obviously thepictures will all beat you can changeall the pictures all the color all thetext but choosing one that is similar towhat you want in the end will save youwork so for our purposes right here weare going to go down to this one righthere the plant we're gonna sell someyeah let's just sell some plants I guessright so let's go down and you canactually view it first to see more aboutit so it's not just a little tiny iconthere so if you go to view you can get agood experience of what it's like soscroll down you know click on things seewhat it looks like and you know what Ithink this one looks like it's a prettygood for us I like the little image inthe background at the top and yeah so ifthis is what we want you can go to editthis site or you can actually go backand choose a different one so we aregoing to edit this site I think this isa good one for our needs right here andit starts setting it up again withanother tab with the Wix website editorit may take a few minutes but you shouldend up on a page it looks something likethis now what we're going to see here isacross the top a menu bar and on theleft side all these little bubbles thatessentially allow you to customize yourwebsite a little bit more now no matterwhich template you chose there are goingto be a lot of similar features here butfor example when we go to the top leftthe first thing is your pages and itshows you all of the different pages youhavewebsite and of course this is going tobe different for everybody depending onthe template you chose but for the paidfor the template I chose we have home wehave got shop right there you haveshipping and returns you have a pageabout the privacy policy and so you canclick on any one of those pages andit'll bring you into the editor for thatpage so if you want to go and changeyour privacy policy you click on that upat the top and then down here you canclick on anything you want then you canedit the text you can move it around solet's say this one right here if we wantto change the privacy policy we canclick on edit text right there we canchange it to whatever we want so we canchange it to whatever we want and thenwithin that you can also change thetheme of it so you can change it if it'slike a header or something you canchange the font and of course adding toomany fonts will slow down your loadspeed I recommend sticking to like oneor two fonts to make things quicker andeasier to read you can change the fontsize you can do all the normal textediting here with color underliningmaking it left aligned right aligned youcan change some effects with it and alot of stuff like that now one thingthat is really useful and I point thisout a lot I'll point it out later on inthe video as well but you can go and addlinks so if you want if you want righthere this is supposed to somebody clickon that if you want that to be aclickable link you can have that textlinked to either a web address or a pagewithin your website an anchor and I'lltalk about anchors later on in the videothe top of the page the bottom of thepage so for now let's just say it linksto the top of the page for some reasonand so that's how we're going to beediting text so that is just one of themany things you can do here I'll talkmore about editing a little bit later onif you want to see it in mobile modewhich I highly recommend most traffic onthe Internet is actually on phones thesedays what you want to do is go to switchto mobile mode and while the editing isslightly more limited here it isactually a great way to at least checkit out make sure text isn't cut off movethings around and just make sure thatyour site is optimized for the mobileversion now let's go back to the desktopso switch to desktop toggle reallyeasily across the top and then goingacross here you can actually go to sitewhich is how you save it you can previewit in preview just shows you what itwould look like if youactually went to the website as long asit's unpublished you can publish it andthen and veryhard to find and not a good website sowe will connect in domain I'll show youhow in a in a few minutes we can get amailbox which means get G suite on hereso if you want to be my cats AntrimMediacom it's much more professionalthan like my cat gmail.com which seemslike you're not really running a realbusiness now we go down to upgrade andupgrade of course will allow you toactually use the website with the domainand everything I just talked about butbefore we can upgrade let's go back tosite and go down and save it and whenyou save it it's going to ask you toname it choose a name for it so we'regonna say San trial store for now andthen click done now what we want to dois go back to settings go down toupgrade it'll bring us to a new tab andbecause this is an online store we haveto make sure that we're getting ane-commerce one so business ande-commerce is what we want to choose andit doesn't really matter which one youchoose read through these and selectwhichever one makes the most sense foryour business if you want 35 gigabytes50 20 gigabytesit doesn't quite matter you can doreally lots of different options hereI'm going to select business basic forthis video and then you can chooseeither yearly monthly which of coursemonthly is more expensive or three yearsso the longer your plan is the moremoney you're saving if you think you canhave a business for I mean I recommendat least one or two years I'm doingmonthly right here because I'm notactually doing this it's just for thetutorial but regardless I'm just gonnago and follow through with this and getthe monthly plan for now okay so onceyou put in your credit card and youclick Next it'll bring you to this pageright here and it says congratulationsyour site is premium which is good nowthe next thing we want to do is find adomain for our site so let's say SanTrel media apparel dot-com and saysomething that we want right there soyou go and it says it is availthe next we can say get it and honestlythis is the easiest way to do thissometimes I recommend you go and checkout so it's actually very cheap for $15a year sometimes I recommend you go andget it from Google domains because it ischeaper but there are a few extra stepsif you're interested in that I'll linkout a video in the description where youcan see how I did that in another videobut for this video let's just go and doit this way so we're going to continue$15.00 per year we're going to go downand purchase this so then it asks if youwant it to be a public or privateregistration and I recommend you do thisprivate just so people can't come toyour door and call you and have yourphone number your address and actuallyyou know try to bug you and buy yourdomain so I recommend doing private it'san extra ten dollars per year so you arepaying 25 a year which is a little bitmore expensive but I mean if it's wortha few to save the extra maybe ten ortwelve dollars you can go and do thisthrough Squarespace or through you knowGoogle domains there's a lot of otherways to do this so we're just going tocontinue with this for the purposes ofthis video though so we're going to goand submit the purchase and check outhere while we're kind of going down thisrabbit hole of upgrades here which isvery essential for your website the nextthing you could do is actually go downand buy a mailbox and it's somethingthat it should be prettyself-explanatory I'm not going to getinto that for this video we're focusingon building the website right now andalso I don't want to spend any more ofmy money on this video I respect likefifty dollars there but regardless let'sgo back to our website here and actuallycontinue building it so once we have itupgraded let's go and refresh this siteright here our website builder so wehave a domain as you can see right herewe are done with that so let's close outand go back to our website now it's notpublished yet and it doesn't have to bepublished you can keep saving it as youedit and then publish when you're doneor you can publish it right nowrealistically not many people will beseeing it in the beginning so maybe youwant to publish it and then you can goback and see what it looks like ondifferent monitor is different maybedifferent phones different devices it'ssomething that I recommend just to makesure that it looks good on all thedifferent devices you have so up toplet's make sure that we save this stillsaved and let's continue going acrossthe top so right there you can see thistime that it actually did save it as ourdomain which is good that's exactly whatwe wantedso settings you can get found on Googleand stuff like that that's all moreadvanced stuff that I'm not going tocover in this videothe tools are essentially what you'reseeing so like this little thing third it's pretty easy to go uphere and just click on that and drop aline and move it around so you can findout so if this is like 980 pixels wideas I think it is you can move it to themiddle and say like 400what is that 490 pixels would be abouthalfway so you can move this to 490 andyou can snap things on to the centerright there it's something that doesmake it easier when you're trying tobuild your website and likewise you cando it this way and have things line upusing these little bars now if you don'twant one you just click on it and clickdelete pretty easily pretty pretty easyto do so just click on it click thelittle trash can and it goes away youcan go to dev mode again we're not doingthat in this video we can go to help andwe can go to upgrade which we alreadyupgraded if you need a bigger site ormore storage you can upgrade evenfurther so that's everything across thetop when you go here you can hire a Wixpartner again not really that importantso going up to the top right then wehave zoom out and reorder we have undoredo save preview and publish I talkedabout save preview and publish alreadybut zoom out and reorder is verypowerful early on in your website whenyou're trying to figure out the generalstructure of it the Wix usually buildswebsites with a kind of a stripe layoutso what they do if they have thesesections these blocks that you seethey're highlighted in blue and they allkind of do something different and it'skind of a nice layout but if you want toreorder them you can go and move thisone down and so you can just keep movingit down move it wherever you want to andyou can actually delete them if youdon't want the section you can duplicatethe section or if you need extra spacebetween sections so say you want to addlike some extra pictures in there orsomething you can actually go and clickon the thick blue bar right there anddrag that down so that you end up withmore of that gray space or whatever thebackground color is right there so whenwe're done with that click on the X upon the green thing on the top and itbrings us back to our website editor sothat's everything Italk about across the top now let's getin and actually start building this as astore so before we go in and change thelogo and stuff like that I just want togo down to my store here and startshowing you guys where you can addproducts now if we go and click on mystore it says welcome to my store getstarted and it's going to kind of walkyou through how to add different thingsso we're going to go to the dashboardright there is what it wants you to doyou can add products you can see yourstore pages right here we have fourstore pages so we have shop which islike your main page which shows all ofyour products so think of it as like ifyou go to Walmart calm and you're justscrolling through that that is shop it'sgoing to look like that with all of yourproducts the product page is going to bethe individual product that you'relooking at so how they're laid out whenyou click on a product you want yourlogo at the top do you not get into thatlater on as well cart page isself-explanatory and then the Thank Youpage after somebody makes a purchase soyou can go down and add store elementsso if you want to have like a differenttype of gallery if you want it to be acarousel if you want like a slider rightthere if you want a big product widgetthere's a lot of different ways you canhave these little store elements rightthere and you can add those into yourwebsite and then lastly learn learn moreis something that it's a good resourceif you want to see more about like findthe support forum and stuff like thatbut for our purposes we are reallylooking at the top three right here solet's go and add some products and whatwe want to do it'll bring you to a pagethat looks like this and says what areyour products so the first product wewant let's just say San Trail t-shirtand we can go and add images of this oryou can add videos I recommend for somephysical products or actually or digitalproducts either one having a video it'sactually pretty nice so let's go downand upload media here so we can go andit gives you all these options you canfind it from Google Drive from Facebookpretty much everywhere you want so weare going to upload it from my computerright now and we are going to selectthis shirt right here the just t-shirtthat I kind of just threw together rightthere and says I love central media soit's not actually for sale this is notreal kind but there it is so that is ourfirst product we're going to addthere's product right there that's thefirst picture obviously have morepictures not just one but for ourpurposes let's choose one and so you canchoose if you want it to be yeah let'ssay this is a new arrival new arrival wecan change a price for it so let's justsay $15 for this we can put it on salefor maybe a discount would be like 20%off 20% so let's say maybe originally itwas like 20 bucks it's on sale for 16something that a lot of people like todo is mark things up make them on saleobviously everyone's discretion choosewhatever you want to do for that andthen write your description right hereso let's just say awesome sanchowt-shirt and you should probably beefthat up a little bit more than that butregardless let's go down and you can goand add additional info right there suchas your return policy maybe somethingabout the sizing you can go down and addsome custom text fields and we can godown and also add some other productoptions so this could be like the colorso let's just say color and the color wecould have a list and so we could haveblue white or we could have and weshould make that capital and so that'show you get your different sizes or yourdifferent colors so there's a drop-downmenu right there and so we could managethe pricing and inventory based on thedifferent colors assuming we haveinfinite inventory and assuming we don'treally care about the pricing betweencolors I'm just going to leave that asit is right now so you can trackinventory so you can tell it how manyyou have of each color and it's a greatway if you have multiple products to useWix to track things and let you knowwhen you're running low for me I'm notgoing to do that in this video butregardless it's something that is veryeasy to do and is a very useful tool soright up there you can choose whichcollection you want this in so let'screate a new collection and call thiscentral central apparel and we're goingto make a new collection right there andthen you can go down and promote it bycreating different discounts promovideos you can send an email campaignand you can editthe SEO settings of this so let's makesure we save the changes of this andcontinue and this will actually so setupyou shipping regions we're not going toworry about shipping regions right nowso over here the SEO settings allows youto be found on Google so SEO is searchengine optimization so making sure thatthis is something that Google can findwhen somebody looks up San trial t-shirtyou want to make sure that they'refinding your product these Santrot-shirts so we want to make sure thatthe URL slug pages here so we havefour different pages you can add anotherstore page if you want typically whenyou go to the store template I find thatfour is good enough for my needs forbasic ecommerce stores you can add otherones and so you can just click Add rightthere you can rename it so click thelittle three dots right there you can goto settings and this is where you canrename what that page is and kind ofbasically for any page if you go up tothe top and click on that you can changeany page in the same way we can renameit you can choose if it's on your menuso you can hide it from the menu on thetop the menu being like up here it'shidden right now though then we can alsoset it as your home page if you wantthose layouts if you do or do not want aheader and the footer so the headerbeing the thing that says call us nowthe footer probably says somethingsimilar you can go down to over topermissions and you can say it's amembers-only page which is a great wayif you're trying to kind of build anemail list and you want to have peoplesign up for your email and get like afree PDF you can make it a Members Onlypage so they set up an account with yoursite and you get you know a contact listso you can send out notifications tothem then you can also go to you knowSEO on Google right here which is alsowhat I showed you before which is youknow you can change the URL slug andthings like that to make sure that yourpage is optimized for Google so withthat being said that's essentially howyou're going to do the store side ofthings adding products but how do weactually manage what the site looks likeso if we go back up to the top and clickon this and let's just go to home fornow and we're going to kind of optimizewhat this looks like so on the left sideyou have some different options here sowe talked about menus and pages this isgoing to be actually we talked about itat the top this is the same thing exceptthis gives you more options so you godown to site menu here and it shows youall the different pages you have andagain you can reorder them move themwherever you want add pages delete pagesand then if you click on the three dotsthis can also let you either optimize itfor Google you can copy it you canduplicate it like I said you can hide ityou can make it a sub page lots ofdifferent options I recommend I meaneveryone has different needs so messingaround with that a little bit and seewhat actually works best for you now aswe go down you have member pages memberssign up right here so when members aresigning up for your site what is thatactually going to be like for them soyou can say the member signup form youcan change this you can optimize it oryou can just leave it as it is socontinuing down the options on the leftside then we have right here the pagebackground if you chose a good templateyou probably don't need to change thepage background you can go down to adddifferent things right here so there areso many different things you can add inWix and it's all drag-and-drop very easyto resize things change the angle thelocation of them and you can add textlike you see right here all thesedifferent texts images and the imagescan be things that you upload some freeWix clipart free Wix images stock imagesstuff from Facebook lots of options forwhere to get your yourthen you can add a gallery if you wantto have an array of images you can addvector art you can add shapesinteractive actually go back to shapesif you want like a line anywhere theyconsider that a shape so going to shapesand add lines if you want you can haveinteractive things where it's like aslideshow for example or things that youhover over you know you can add buttonswhich is essentially a picture with textin it that links out so let's just add abutton right now buttons are somethingthat I add all over my websites and solet's just say we want this button to beI don't know like don't want to clickand drag everything so let's just saythat we want this button where does ourbutton go there it is okay so let's justsay we want this button right here to bea lot larger so we can go and make thissignificantly bigger and we can changethe text of it we can change where itlinks to so if we want this to link toan anchor for example we can add ananchor somewhere on the page and ananchor means when they click on it itScrolls to a certain section so if youhave like an FAQ page this is a greatway to use anchors where you have allthe different questions at the top andeach one links out to a paragraph belowthat shows you what it is so we're goingto say done and if you want to add ananchor go back over to add so you'relinking to an anchor here the anchor youwant to link to you can find these overon the left side then so going down wehave box right there which is also ashape basically you can add an entirestrip I showed you before how you canrearrange the strips this is how you addnew strips and there's so many differentoptions for what type of strip it is andthey kind of come you know pre formattedfor essentially what you're looking forlists and grids you can add video youcan add music you can add social so Irecommend adding social somewhere onhere social is a huge aspect of websitesthese days you can add contact formswhich gives people these fields they cantype in click Submit and then it'll sendit to you this is a great way if you'rehaving maybe like support or if you'retrying to get more leads on somethingit's a great way to do that you havemenu right hereyou can add a lightbox and the lightboxis just something that pops up whensomeone's on your website and says likehey did you know we're running a saletoday or sign up for our email list oryou know different options for what'sgoing to pop up in your lightbox then wecan go down to we can start a blog youcan start a store we already have astore obviously you can start bookingsyou can set up you know members and moreand here when you go to more is where Isaid you can find anchors anchors areright here and if you want an anchor youjust click and drag it and you can putit wherever you want on the page and soif we put an anchor right there thenthis button we could link to the anchorwhich means it's going to scroll untilthat anchor is lined up with the top ofthis screen so definitely try this outthough once you put it in there makesure it actually works and Scrolls tothe right location because you don'twant a website that is going to scrolllike halfway through the paragraph andjust looks very unprofessional so goingback to add here let's just continue andjust finish out the other things you canadd because there really is a lot rightthere so you can add a chat in thebottom left you see that we have that alittle brown box there you can addevents you can add play buttons paypower sorry pay buttons sorry GoogleMaps and document buttons so just lotsof other stuff to add there and then ifwe go down to the next option here thisis the Wix app market so if you rememberin the very beginning of this video Isaid it didn't matter if you chose onethat was not a store that's because ifyou chose one that was photography forexample it wouldn't have a store builtin as a page already but you can go inhere and add a store app so thesedifferent apps are going to allow you todo things like the store where it's allintegrated has a check out a cart athank-you page and so you can do all ofthat within here or you can add otherthings some other free apps onlinestores photography like just go throughthis there are hundreds of differentapps you can get and they're all made bya lot of them are made by Wix whichmeans they're extremely powerful andthey're very well integrated with yourwebsite so continuing down you havemedia which is going to be anything youupload it so documents and pictures thatyou uploaded maybe if you want themsomewhere on your page you just want toadd more media or whatever when we godown to start a blog that's somethingthat a lot of stores have blogs thesedays maybe you can add it if you wantyou don't necessarily need one and againwe can go down and see our store sothat is a lot of what we're doing hereof course when you're trying to messaround with different things I recommendgoing into each different elementindividually click on it it should befairly self-explanatory so if we go toour home page here you'll see that likeadding a logo at the top right there itis a button you can change the text ofit you can make itadd your add your image up there in theheader and make sure it links to homethat's something that a lot of peoplemiss out on I don't know why peopleforget to do that the top left shouldalways link to home if it's your logowell let's just say right here if thisis our they actually put text there Iwould recommend maybe like an image foryour logo but if you want to like rotatethis you just click on the top left androtate you can resize it you can move itaround and ultimately you want to makesure that everything kind of staysbetween the two dotted lines you see onthe left here so right there and rightthere that's something that Wixrecommends so it looks good on differentaspect ratios of phones or laptops orold computers or TVs projectors younever know where somebody will belooking at your website and you want itto look goodon all of them so guys that's what Ihave to say in this video I know thiswas a pretty lengthy video but hopefullythat gave you a pretty in-depth tutorialand showed you what you need to know toset up a store using Wix now the nextstep for you right now is obviously togo through and populate this and do whatI showed you in this video so add yourlogo add the text everywhere filleverything out add your products andthen by the end the last thing you do isgo up and click publish so that yoursite is ready to go and people can startbuying now of course I also recommendyou go through and actually followthrough on your own website on maybe anew tab or on a different laptop andactually go through and kind of followthe user experience go through checkoutmake sure you don't have any brokenlinks or broken pages so that whensomebody is using your site it's what is up guys my name is Darrell andtoday I'm gonna be reviewing the flatsum theme now if you guys ever kind ofwanted to buy flat sum but you weren'treally sure about it because you kind ofwant to know the features about it andyou want to know what the page builderactually offers today in this review I'mgonna be reviewing the flotsam thing andshowing you what this theme can do nowguys I've been messing around withWooCommerce and e-commerce for years youknow and the flotsam theme is theultimate WordPress theme for e-commerceit does so much for your store and I'mjust going to be going over some of thekey essentials it does like imageresizing and decorating shop pages checkout pages and all sorts of stuff so theflotsam theme guys by default does a lotthat you normally can't do with otherWordPress themes for example you cantotally have a customizable header righthere and they have like pre-designedtemplates or you can just simply justlike pick one of them you know choose aheader that works for you and they alsohave this like really cool like you knowthese buttons right here that makes itreally easy to sign up for your websitesalso you can fully customize thecheckout page so for example right herelet's say you have the checkout page andyou're saying you know I don't like ittoo much with flats um you can kind ofdesign your own your own checkout pageand they have just great templates youcan add more in the checkout page now bydefault guys WordPress teams usuallydon't offer this you know but flat sumis designed for e-commerce so again it'sjust some amazing stuff so I'll be goingover some of these features in thisreview but first let's go ahead and talkabout the page builder I'm sureeverybody wants to know about the pagebuilder because visual visual composerwas used on flotsam about a year ago butflats I'm kind of moved away from visualcomposer because I realize it's not thebest page builder and in fact I havealways hated itand flat semester they're owned usbuilder and another really amazing thingabout this is if you guys suck atdesigning websites which I do too theyhave a flat 'some studio so right hereif I click on flotsam studio they haveover 500 templates that you guys can addfor your e-commerce websites and nomatter what you're looking for theseguys have it you know they have about uspages banners call to actions contactpages just amazing stuff I even havelike grids right here so they just offerso much the I mean you can likeliterally import an entire ecommercewebsite from their home page the aboutUs page and contact page and just justuse their stuff you know then charge theclient ten grand or you know whateveryou want to charge you know but let mejust give you an example of how thisworks so let's say right here for mycall to action I want to just select youknow one of these call to action so I'mjust gonna click on import and click onstart and it's going to import thatspecific section and it's really fastso here I basically you know I I tookthe templates and then here I'll just dolike an amazing sale and then I justclick on okay save the changes etc andguys it's that quick and fast to make awebsite with flat some also if you guyslike the full width page they also havethat as well so in the options when youdesign this page you can have it eitherboxed or full width so a lot of theirdemos have the only boxed looked but youguys can make it full width that's whatI first thought I was like I want thefull width look they have it so righthere on this gear icon I'm gonna clickon that and I'm goes to my template andgo to full width and voila now it isfull width also you guys might bemessing around with the templates quitea lot which I was – now it's reallysimple to get rid of all this all I needto do is click on the gear icon and justclick on clear click on OK and that's ityou can start all over again so it'sreally simple to make websites of theflat sum and the page builder isincredibly easy to learn I have a fulltutorial on it in the description belowyou guys want to check it out but let'sgo ahead and keep talking about otherfeatures besides just the flat slimstudio which is probably one of the mostamazing features I've seen about flatsum I mean they have over 500 templatesthat you guys can simply just grab andjust you know check out you guys canpreview it see how it looks and thenjust simply grab any one of theirtemplates for your e-commerce websitesok so that was a quick preview of theflotsam Studio now I'm gonna talk aboutthings that I love about flotsam andthings that really stood out to me andsaying this is amazing one of them isthe image resizing now by default guyswhen you're using other WordPress themesthe image sizing can be the biggest painin the butt if something's likemisaligned a little bit it's going tocome out weird flotsam has theoption to force the height for all yourproducts now this is not the productpage right here but this is the moduleitself now they have different stylesthat you guys can use so right here youguys can see the style of products soright here we have overlay we have shadewe have just and the thing is guys theselook really clean like these look likethese look amazing you know like there'sthere's so much you can do you can addthe description you can add the reviewsyou can take out the reviews you can putin whatever you want you can mix andmatch whatever you want you can havethis animation fade from you know up thebottom like that really clean just justamazing you know simply amazing and ifyou're not using flotsam for youre-commerce website you're missing outbecause it's just a very clean theme andit's just it's so easy to use you shoulduse it you know and people who aren'tusing it I could I get upset with themI'm like dude use this theme it haseverything now also right here forimages now right here you got some kindof mess around with the image sizing soright here we have like 75 cent or sevenfive percent two hundred percents andyou guys can kind of mess around withthis they kind of get what you guys wanton your websites but the image sizingfor this is simply amazing and then youcan also change the width of its likethat and you can also change the radiusas well so let's say for example youkind of want a more circular kind ofapproach here we can add in a radius ofa hundred percent and it's going tocreate that circle effect now you cannotdo this without custom CSS so flats upnoses and you don't have to use CSS youdon't need any CSS at all and also wecan have like the size you can changethe size and here we can add in a quickoverlay so here I'm I put in blue yourblue right here and then maybe just likethat you guys get the idea now that's asuper ugly color but I'm just showingyou the possibilities of what you can dowith the flat some theme also you canchange the text alignment you can changethe size of the text you can change thefont you can customize each andeverything on the product section soalso right here it says sale you canchange the color you can change the textso there's there's no limits on what youcan do with flat sum so it's simplyincredible of thethe possibilities and the combinationsyou can have with the flotsam theme sothat is a quick little preview of likethe product module that where you canadd props on your front page now let'stalk about the actual productsthemselves so this is my shop page andyou guys can actually decorate andcustomize the shop page so here I justadded like a slider you know somethingsomething quick and easy no this isquick and easy now we also have like thegrid style where you can have like theAdd to Cart feature you can have no Addto Cart or you can have the epic art onthe picture so for example right hereyou viewersright so I love Divi I think their pagebuilder is amazing I would use it forany other websites but if I'm running ane-commerce website as of right now Iwould use flotsam because the things youcan do with this you can't do this withyou can't do this with Elementor youcan't do this with beaver builder youcan't do this with Divi but you can doit with flats um so here you can likeadd in blocks and if you watch mytutorial I talk all about blocksbasically like their sections like wehow we design the shop page you can dothe same exact thing on the checkoutpage also the header the header realize that the themehas a lot to offer and I'm not a hugefan ofenvato I really am NOT but thedevelopers on Novatowhen I see good development teams and Isee really good teams and companies outthere like flats um I have to recognizethem you know as much as I don't likefire and vato just because I have my ownpersonal reasons why I don't like Envatobut the developers on it are incrediblytalented and again some of the work theydo is just amazing so if you guys arelooking for an e-commerce theme I highlyrecommend the flotsam theme because thepage builder is easy you can do imagesizing you could customize everythingthere's no limits on what you cancustomize they have tons of templatesand virtually I wouldn't see a reason touse any other commerce theme because ofwhat you can do with flats um
