SEO, social media marketing, email marketing,
PPC advertising.Where do you start and how do you use these
to get more traffic to your website? If you're a beginner to digital marketing
and you want to cut through the noise, then keep watching because I'm going
to show you how all of these workbased on a decade of experience rather than just theory.Stay tuned.[music]What's up marketers, Sam Oh here with Ahrefs,
the SEO tool that helps you grow your search traffic, research your competitors and dominate your niche.Today, I'm going to share 7 digital marketing
strategies that I have personally usedand gotten results with. And if there's only one thing that you take away
from this video, it's to not try all of these at once.Instead, pick one of these strategies, experiment
and master the channel before moving on to the next.Let's get to it.So before we dig into these strategies, you
need to make sure that you're adopting today'smindset of the consumer.Today, we live in a “content first” world.People are looking for information before they buy.So you need to really put yourself in the
buyer's shoes rather than allowing yourselfto get blinded by how great you think your
products and services are.The mentality you need to adopt is to help
people rather than trying to cold sell them. When you help people solve problems through
free and valuable content that is relevantto your business, you reach larger audiences
and build trust. The best part is that you get the opportunity
to show people how your products and servicescan help them solve their problems and fulfill
their desires and needs.Alright, so the first internet marketing strategy
is blogging with SEO in mind. Now, blogging isn't writing about what you
did today or even something more noblelike an epiphany you had. That's a diary. But don't get me wrong. This kind of content can work well if you
have an existing and loyal audience. But for most of us that just want to get more
traffic, leads, and sales we need to intentionallytarget problems that your target audience
wants to solve. In the world of blogging, this whole process can be summed up as a technique called keyword research.Let me show you two clear-cut examples on
how keyword research works. In the first example, let's say you sell physical
products like computer parts and accessories. What do you think future customers might be
searching for in Google?Probably questions like:Why is my computer so slow? How to build a computer? How to speed up a computer? These are all very real problems and people
are looking for solutions. In fact, Ahrefs' Keywords Explorer tells us
that these exact search queries get tens ofthousands of searches each month. Now, the best part about these specific queries
is that you can help people solve their problems, while integrating products from your store
in the content.”Why is my computer so slow” could come down
to a hard drive, CPU, or ram problem. So help your readers diagnose the problem
and offer product solutions within your post.”How to build a computer” would be a super
easy plug for any computer components. They're already showing intent to build,so it's unlikely that they've already purchased
parts and peripherals.Alright, second example.Let's say you're a real estate agent and you're
compensated when someone buys, sells, or rents a property. Now, the thing that most agents do is boast
about how many homes they've soldor how they won an award that you nor I
have never heard of.My point is that the average buyer or seller doesn't care. And to prove my point, no one is searching
for things like:which realtor won the most awards in New York? But again, potential customers are looking
for solutions to their problems.Problems like:How to invest in real estate? How to buy a house? What credit score is needed to buy a house? And again, these all have the potential to
attract a massive audience.By ranking in Google for something like “how
to invest in real estate,”you're now attracting potential buyers with deep pockets and they likely have intent to buy.Content on “how to buy a house” would likely
require the work of an agent at some point, which could be you.”What credit score is needed to buy a house”
is a great way to show that your knowledgeand intentions go beyond making a sale. The best thing about blogging for SEO is that
once you rank, you'll be getting free, consistentand passive traffic from Google. If you're new to SEO, I highly recommend watching
our SEO for beginners video, which will give you a nice overview of what SEO is,
how it works, and how you can get it to work for you.I'll also link up some additional resources
on doing keyword research that grows trafficand revenue, as well as a video on how to write
a blog post with SEO in mind. For now, let's move on to the second strategy,
which is to invest in video content, specifically on YouTube.YouTube is the second most visited search
engine in existence. To top that off, video carousels nearly doubled
in 2017 in Google's search results.Video isn't just the future. It's the present. And the same principle of helping potential
customers works for video too. When people go to video search engines like YouTube, they're looking to find answers to their questions. For example, if you bought a so-called “new”
iPhone X on eBay, you might search for”iPhone X unboxing” and see if all of the contents
are in the box.And according to Ahrefs' Keywords Explorer,
108,000 searches are happening eachmonth globally on YouTube alone for this keyword. In fact, this video that you're watching right now
was chosen because I can see that people arespecifically looking for digital marketing
tutorials for beginners. To come up with topic ideas that people are
searching for in your niche, head over to Ahrefs' Keyword Explorer, switch the search engine to YouTubeand search for a broad keyword in your niche.Let's use “makeup” as an example. Now, “makeup” as a standalone keyword isn't a problem. So let's go to the Questions report, where you can see popular questions people are searching for on your topic. And right away, you'll see great topic ideas
like “how to clean makeup brushes”and how to cover acne with makeup. Now, when you're creating these videos, try
and keep the fluff out and pack in as muchnecessary value as possible.Doing this has helped us grow our YouTube
views to over 150,000 views per monthand best of all, since all of our videos show
how our SEO tools can help,it's led to thousands of new paying leads and customers, specifically mentioning that they found us through YouTube. Most of our video growth was done through
YouTube SEO, so I'll leave links to a tutorialto help you rank your videos and get more views.Next up is social media marketing.Rather than covering every social media network,
I want to pass on a couple of important tipsthat will help you grow your social channels. The first is to focus on just one social media
channel when you're just starting out.It takes time to build a following. But numbers aren't everything. What you want is a loyal following. When you dip your toes into every possible
social media network out there, your attention gets divided and the results get diluted. So which social media marketing channel do
you choose? That leads us into the second tip, which is to go where your target audience is
and cater to the platform. If you have to choose just one social network,it's not about choosing the one with the
most active users. It's all about understanding the audience
that's there and if you can serve the reasonfor them being there. You really need to think about why someone
is logging into the specific social media network. For example, people usually go to YouTube
to learn how to do something, or to be entertained. But Facebook is different. Think about it.Have you ever logged onto Facebook, hoping
that you would see an unboxing tutorial?Or better yet, have you ever opened your Facebook
app hoping you would find a limited time offerthat's 97% off, only for the next 37 minutes?Probably not.People don't check Facebook with credit card in hand.People like and share things that are helpful,
interesting, shocking or funny. So if you are going to try and bring people
into your world, present your message asa story, video, or something else that will
likely stand out from the endless feedof vacation vanity shots.Pinterest on the other hand is primarily a
social search enginewhere people can control what they want to search for.The primary intent of users on this platform
is to get inspired, learn things, and plan to do things. So create content that caters to their intent
for being there. So if this is your audience, take advantage
of a less competitive landscape from bothan ads and organic perspective.Speaking of ads, that's the next digital marketing
strategy on the list for today. When it comes to paid advertising, please do not
throw your money blind into an ad networkbecause you read that it was good. What works for one person won't necessarily
work for the next person.Instead, think about the ABCs of paid advertising.A is for audience, B is for budgetand C is for commerciality. We've already covered the audience part. You want to engage on social networks where
your target audience hangs out.Budget is the next one.Bloomberg reported that Google and Facebook
own a combined 58% of the $111 billion dollar market. Now, the way ads work are usually based on auctions. The more advertisers there are, the more expensive
it gets for you and I.So let's say you're in the ultra competitive
industry of conference calling. If we search for that keyword in Keywords
Explorer with Google set as the search engine, you'll see that the cost per click from Google Ads is $20!If you have an ad budget of let's say $1,000
per month, then you'd only be able to get50 clicks before your budget was depleted.Instead, you can do two things:The first option is to look for keywords that
have a lower cost per click.Just go to the Phrase match report to see
all keywords in our keyword database thatcontain your target keyword.Next, set a filter to only show keywords that
have a maximum cost per clickof something lower like $5.From here, you can filter through the list
and see if there are some more lucrative opportunitiesrather than spending $20 per click. This one for a “conference call app” might
be a good one since it's a quarter of the price.Another benefit is that the reason behind
the searcher's query is more clear.Someone searching for this is clearly looking
for an app that does conference calls, whereas someone searching for just “conference
call” could be looking for many different things. The second thing you can do is experiment
with less popular ad platformswhere your target audience might be.Finally is commerciality. Now, all major ad platforms are able to bring
ROI for their advertisers.Otherwise, they wouldn't exist. But you have to find a way to bridge the gap
between the intent of the platformand how you monetize your products. And the solution is going to be content. For example, let's say you sell boutique furniture
and think that Pinterest will be a good platformto run some ads.In my opinion, it wouldn't be a good idea
to advertise a bunch of links to high-endfurniture like couches and dining tables.Instead, blog posts could work really well
here since people log on to Pinterest mainlyto get inspired, and learn new things. Here's what that bridge might look like.Pinterest ads would be the discovery tool. You pay them money and they'll show your pin.The bridge would then be a helpful blog post
on let's say, “11 Interior Design Tips ForYour Living Room That Won't Break the Bank.”And within that content, you could showcase your products where it supports the tip you're speaking of.Nail the ABCs of paid ads, and increase your
chances of actually converting your hard earneddollars into ROI.Next up is one of my favorites and that's podcasts. Now, there are two ways to look at podcasts.First is to create your own and the second
is to be interviewed on someone else's podcast.Creating your own podcast can be great for
brand and building an audience. But if you're just starting out, it can take
quite a bit of time to get any sort of traction.Getting interviewed on podcasts is a different story.Podcasters are always looking for interesting
people to interview.Even if you don't have a ton of experience
in the online world, your offline experiencesand expertise could be a great way to land
yourself a position on a popular podcast. Now, if you don't know which podcasts you
should approach, an easy way to find opportunitiesis to look at your favorite podcasts and find
someone in your industry that has been interviewed.Looking at the podcast page for Entrepreneur
on Fire, you'll see this episode with Jim Kwik. Now, if we click through to the interview,
you'll notice two things. The first is that the guest's name is in the title. This is very common for podcast interviews.Second is the link on the page. The host will almost always link to the guest's
home page in the show notes.Knowing this, we can use a tool like Ahrefs'
Site Explorer to find all podcasts they'vebeen interviewed on.So I'll enter in jimkwik.com and I'll also
set the search mode to a URL search so wecan find pages that are linking specifically
to the homepage.Once the overview page loads, go to the backlinks
report, which will show you all of the pagesthat are linking to this URL.Finally, let's use the Include search and
type in Jim Kwik. And to keep our results super relevant, I'm
going to set the filter to search for hisname only in the titles of the referring pages. And we now have around 120 podcasts we can
pitch to get interviewed. So filter through relevant podcasts, and pitch
the host as to why they should interview youand the value you can give to their audience.Next on the list is email marketing. If you've ever looked into email marketing, then you've probably heard people claiming
that “email is king.”But I promise you that once you get into it,
you'll quickly discover that it's not as turnkeyas online gurus make it sound. And don't get me wrong.Email marketing is great. But first, you need traffic to get email subscribers. It also requires opt-in forms to turn a visitor
into a subscriber. In my opinion, email is a great long play
to build connection with your audience andand even sell high ticket items. So my tip for you on email marketing is quite simple:First, focus on building your email list from day one. It's important and you might as well collect
emails from interested people from the start, even if it's not a substantial list. But be realistic with your goals and as you build
your audience, put more time into your emaillist and see how it can serve your business. The final strategy is to use forums and
community boards.Community forums like Quora, Reddit, and Facebook
are great promotion channels. But before you go off and start posting links
to your product pages, there are a few things you need to understand. And these are all based around the unspoken
rules of spam.First: don't promote your products or services
pages within these groups. The intent of users on these platforms is to learn. Not to be sold to directly.Instead, think of these networks as a place
to share your expertise, build relationships and help others.Second: use links to your content sparingly. If you're constantly posting links to your
blog and have justified in your head thatthat this is non-promotional, then you're most
likely wrong.Links can be more appropriate based on the
network you're posting on.For example, Quora generally has longer answers, and linking to your content where it supports your point is a good idea.Facebook groups on the other hand are a different
story.Let's say you're a real estate agent and you
join a “first time homebuyers” group on Facebook. If someone asks a question like:
“I'm looking to buy my first home and waswondering if I can even get a mortgage?”Now, if every agent on that group posts links to their website, can you see how spammy that could get?Instead, it would make sense to post a link
to someone else's affordability calculatorsor offer introductions to b-lenders.The point is that helping first will go a
lot farther than self-promotional contentthat can taint your reputation. Now, I'd love to hear from you.Which digital marketing strategy do you think
is most effective in online marketing?Let me know in the comments and if you enjoyed
this video, then make sure to like, shareand subscribe for more actionable SEO and
marketing tutorials. So keep grinding away, focus on one marketing
channel before trying the next, and I'll see you in the next tutorial.

you need to make aYouTube channel or if you're interestedin creating content you need to have amain stream of content now you might notbe into blogging so you might do aYouTube channel and then just repurposethings to your blog from your YouTubechannel but I'll get more into that in aminute a YouTube channel is one of thebest ways to appeal to Millennials andyounger demographics because people goto youtube usually when they're betweenyou know teenage and under 30 years olda YouTube channel is very easy to makecontent for you just get your camerafrom your smartphone you can have a fullgreen screen set up if you want to govery professional you can have a crewyou can do it all by yourself you can doscreen captures like I'm doing right now- if you want to show more of apresentation to show people kind of howyou're doing things but a YouTubechannel is one of the best ways to gettons of traffic to get over billionviews a month and YouTube is the thirdlargest website in the entire world sovideo is really taking over it's reallythe future of traffic in its growingyear after year the best way to make asuccessful YouTube channel is to followsome of the points in this article onconvince these other ones there's PinterestGoogle+ you need to have social mediapresence if you want your business tothrive and doing that you want to getthe best info from the best experts andsocial media just making one piece ofcontent with a lot of great stuff in itand then just leaving that as the onlyversion of it you can really reach awhole new group of people if you justrepurpose it and recycle it so if youmake a really good blog post just sayyour brand is born into blogging andthat's your main source of traffic youcan take a blog post and you can turn itinto alternative posts you can post themon LinkedIn pulse you can post them onmedium you can post them on hub pagesyou can repurpose them into sections soyou can create individual social mediaposts from different points that youmake in get the right resources go tothe right websites for repurposing getsome great ideas you can go tooptinmonster comm and check out thispost called 40 ways to repurpose yourblog content and why you content mediums differentwebsites all kinds of stuff so check outthis post and consider repurposing yourcontent into many different forms to getthe most traffic number six you need toadvertise on Facebook if you're going toadvertise because advertising onFacebook is cheaper than Google AdWordshas more more targeting options thanbeing and it's just the best overall foryour money as far as my experience goesso Facebook advertisingyou create a Facebook page you mark itthrough sponsored post or write : adsbut the best way I would think to getstarted in Facebook marketing somethingI wish I knew when I started is study apost like this from digital marketerdigital marketer is one of the bestcompanies I've seen at Facebookadvertising they get the most for theirmoney they get the best qualifiedprospects that are most likely to buythe products so they know what they'redoing and they have some great posts andresources that you can use to help youget the same kind of results that theydo so go to digital marketer and checkout this post right here called thecomplete guide to Facebook ad targetingso you can go through and figure out howto target the best people for yourFacebook ads and they give examples theyhave other posts that they wink to thisone if you want to go even more in-depthbut they go over location they go overdemographics like age gender they dolanguage they do interest targeting youcan target things like peoplesoccupations you can target what the kindof magazines they read there's all kindsof stuff that you can target throughFacebook ads and there's some prettyspecific tricks that you can do to savemoney and get the most value per clickfrom Facebook so I recommend you readthis post to get started as a beginneron Facebook advertising and I recommendFacebook advertising if you're lookingto do any kind of advertising if you'reon a budget you don't have to do paidads you can do very well which iscontent marketing but Facebook ads canbe very worthwhile if you do themcorrectly number seven you can collectemails and this is something you have todo in today's world if you're running abusiness you have to collect emailsespecially if you have any kind ofwebsite becausethat's how you get people to return toyour website that's how you get peopleto see your product your offers multipletimes so that they can really understandwhy they should make a buying decisionand people are not going to buy thefirst time they see your business forthe first time they see your servicethey have to see it about five six seventimes before they make a buying decisionand people tend to do the research soyou need to collect their email whenthey first come to your site so that youcan not worry about being out of sightout of mind you can work you can focuson giving them value giving them blogposts and YouTube videos and things thatteach them that show you why you knowwhat you're talking about why yourbusiness works and how it improves theirquality of life and then of course youcan send them to sales pages from theseemails so it's the best way to marketoverall and the return on investment isamazing from email marketing so if youwant to get started in email marketingas a beginner I would recommend you reada post like this one on KISSmetricsdot-com where it talks about abeginner's guide to successful emailmarketing just look that up on Googlecome right up and you can go throughthis you have how you how to getpermission how to get whitelisted how toavoid being a spammer how to useanalytics and things like that to getthe most out of your emails when topitch when to give value it reallycovers a lot of great aspects of emailmarketing and as a beginner and you needto know just how to get started on theright foot without shooting yourself inthe foot and this is a great post tohelp you do that so another thing Iwould recommend for getting traffic isjust leveraging analytics so technicallythis doesn't directly get you trafficlike say blogging like say advertisingthe analytics is what helps youknow what gets the most traffic and whatdoesn't work so if you don't knowanalytics you don't keep track of yournumbers you're not going to know how toget more traffic from the best types ofblog posts so in other words you'regoing to be blogging or doing videossome of them are going to do poorly someof them are going to do well you need toknow which ones are doing poorly andwhich one they're doing well so that youcan stop doing videos and content likethe ones that don't get any results andyou can do more and build on thestrategies that work that got bigresults and you don't know any of thosethings without knowing the numbers inanalytics so the best analytics that youcan get for free is Google Analyticstells you all about your website allabout your demographics your attractingwhere people are coming from whereyou're getting the most traffic fromwhich kind of blog posts are doing thebest how you're converting all thatstuff can be done with Google Analyticswhich is free to start using and the altthere's a great guide for beginners touse Google Analytics on Moz comm andit's called the absolute beginners guideto Google Analytics it's very long postit really goes very very in-depth on howto do every aspect of Google Analyticsand I recommend you read that if you'rebeginner and don't really know everypart of Google Analytics and need toknow how to track your results and getthe most from your marketing so you'renot wasting a lot of time on things thatdon't worknumber nine you can get traffic fromanswering questions on Cora and Cora isa fairly new brand they are basically adifferent type of Yahoo Answers in a wayso Cora is a place where you answerquestions for people but you can wink toresources after answering the questionso if you give people very qualityquality answers to their questions thatand really just answer the question butthen you want if they want to get moreelaboration on the topic you can letthem know hey if you want to see evenmore on this topic you can go to thiswebsite or this page or this blog postor this video and you can link to it inthe answer of these questions andhundreds and thousands of people seeeach question in many cases on Quoraso when you have all these people seeingthese the percentage of them will clickyour link if your answer is good so it'sa great way to get extra traffic fromjust another type of resource and thispost on smart blog or calm how to turnCora into a traffic driving machine foryour blog very popular post will showyou how to really get the most trafficfrom Cora that you possibly can and itwill go through case studies examplesnumbers you can expect kind of how to dothis without becoming a spammer how todo this the right way so Cora doesn'tkick you off and how to actually providevalue while still winking to yourwebsite so it's a great post on smartblogger check it out Cora is a great wayto help people and get more trafficnumber 10 you can publish books onAmazon and wink back to your brand orringbut wait back to your YouTube channelyour website your social media profilesso you can get their emails you cancollect their information you can getmore followers you can get more visitorsto your blog and your channel allthrough Amazon books and if your booksare good you'll notice that bestsellerstend to have very popular blogs as welllook at somebody like Tim Ferriss hewrote the 4-hour workweek a 4-hour bodyin the 4-hour chef look how popular hisblog is and he really doesn't even dothat much SEO he doesn't even rank for alot of terms he just gets so muchtraffic because people know him throughhis podcast and through his books and hereferences his websites through hisbooks by having resources on his websiterelated to the material in his books sothat is a great way to get more trafficas to write a very well-done bookpublish it on Amazon and as people readyour book you can reference differentadditional resources on your website andone of the best ways to rank books thebest way to learn how to do this is totake a course that I took called K moneymastery you can go to self-madesuccess.com / K – money – mastery itlooks like this page and it's a very lowcost course that will teach you allabout how to rank books and Amazon howto promote yourself in the books at theend how to get reviews how to publishbooks almost automatically withouthaving to even write them yourselfthere's all kinds of tricks andstrategies in this course for publishingon Amazon and it will get you tons ofextra trafficnumber 11 you can promote stuff on viralcontent buzz viral content buzz is asocial media community where you sharestuff you earn points and then you getpeople to share your content by creatingprojects and paying them in these pointsso it's basically like trading sharesfor shares and you can also get apremium account where you don't have toshare that much stuff of other people'sand you get points each month for yourprojects but the way it works is you goon here you log in and you're on a pagelike this you can go read this materialand decide whether you want to promoteit on StumbleUpon Twitter Facebook orPinterest and when you share it Oh tellyou how many points you'll get or howmany credits you'll get when you shareit you use these credits to create yourown projects like these where peoplewill see this and they will share yourstuff so you get more social mediashares you get more traffic to whatevercontent you put on here so viral contentbuzz is a great way to get a lot ofsocial media traffic and a lot morepromotion for your content if you don'thave a big following yet it's completelyfree to use number 12 you can get moretraffic from just retweet just retweetis similar to viral content buzz exceptyou basically promote a tweet instead ofpromoting the actual page of yourcontent but the link to your content iswithin the tweet so people can retweetlike or +1 these tweets on TwitterFacebook and Google+ and they paidcredits that you give them when they doit so these people are trying to earncredits to get shares for their contentso they have to share your content toget those credits and it's just a way toget everybody on thismore publicity more traffic to theircontent and if it's good you'll you'llget stuff that will even go viral so ifyou don't have a huge social mediafollowing yet use viral content buzz andjust retweet to share to people'sfollowings that are already establishedwithout having to do things the hard wayor pay them for doing it and last butnot least you can promote contentthrough empire cred Empire cred used tobe known as Empire Avenue but Empirecred allows you to do something similarto just with just retweet and viralcontent buzz and you create missionswhere you pay people credits to promoteyour stuff and it's all fake credits youdon't have to pay anything you can payto upgrade if you want but you don'thave to and what you do is you also havea stock market so it's actually morelike a game than the other two optionsbecause you can play stocks you caninvest in people who have really goodsocial-media followings who are trendingup in social media and you can sellstock to create more credits foryourself so you get you get credits forinvesting as well as doing missions andmissions are when you share otherpeople's stuff you visit their posts youdo all these things whatever they askyou to do but then you create your ownmission up here and then you have peopleshare your stuff in exchange for thecredits so if you combine viral contentbuzz just retweet and Empire cred foreach piece of content that you do youcan get a huge boost in in traffic andit will help you grow your socialfollowing a lot faster if you will havea big one already so if you gotsomething from this video if you feellike you learned some ways to gettraffic that you didn't already knowabout an internet How To Start Social Media Marketing As A Beginner In 2019 – STEP BY STEP
what is up guys welcome to the strongestfamily on YouTube if you're new here myname is Kevin David in today's videowe're gonna be going over what a socialmedia marketing agency is and why it'sthe number one way to make money onlineright now if you have a zero money tostart so if you want to learn why mostof my students from all around the worldare having absolutely crazy resultsusing my strategies with social mediamarketing and stay tuned because this isgoing to be a good one[Music]the beautiful thing about social mediamarketing is all you need is for totalclients to make more than the averageAmerican makes per year all you need isfor people to say yes to you and all ofa sudden you're making more than theaverage American and obviously the USAis one of the most affluent richestcountries in the world with four yesesyou're all of a sudden making more thanthe average American makes in an entireyear that is the power of social mediamarketing and really quickly before weget into what social media marketingactually is I want to go over a questionthat I get all the time do I needexperience and do I need money to getstarted creating a social mediamarketing agency I don't know anythingabout marketing Kevin how can I makemoney creating an SM MA or a socialmedia marketing agency or a Facebook Adsagency or a digital marketing agencyit's all the same thing and the answerto that question is you don't need anyexperience whatsoever and you needliterally zero dollars in your bank toget started creating a social mediamarketing agency so before we actuallyget into how to find high ticket clientsto actually pay you every single monthto run their ads for them we want totalk about what an actual SM ma orsocial media marketing agency actuallyis and at the essence guys what an SM MAis is basically you run Facebook ads orInstagram ads or ads in general rightwe're gonna focus on Facebook ads useFacebook ads are by far the mostprofitable type of advertisement onplanet Earth right 2 billion monthlyactive users on Facebook Instagram adsare absolutely crazily profitable rightInstagram was just recently evaluated atover 100 billion dollars right just asmall portion of Facebook small portionof Facebook is worth more than mostcompanies on earth and Instagram ads areabsolutely explosive right now so we'regoing to be focusing on Facebook for themost part in this video but social mediamarketing companies can also be GoogleAdsright they can also be SEO it can be alot of different things but we're gonnafocus on Facebook so what an SM ma trulyis is you find businesses right you findlocal businessthat don't actually specialize inmarketing and you take care of themarketing for that because what is onething that all businesses need newcustomers right all businesses want moreprofitable new customers to actuallycontinue to pay them money so that theycan you know make a profit right that'swhat all businesses need and so whereyou come into the equation is youactually do the marketing for thesecompanies so that they can focus ontheir core products right most localbusinesses like restaurants dentistslawyers insurance companies right allthese different types of localbusinesses that every major city hasthey focus on what they do best rightdentists are good at making your teethclean doctors are good at making you notsick right but they are not specialistswhen it comes to actual digitalmarketing and as the world starts tochange and become more and moredigitally oriented it becomes much moreimportant to actually have an onlinepresence to have a Facebook account foryour business right to appear in Googlesearch to have an online presence sothat people can find you on Yelp rightevery single day that passes it becomesmore and more critical for businesses tohave an online presence and thatdefinitely includes and probably mostimportantly of which is paid advertisingto put your brand name and your businessin front of potential customers soanother common question that I get allthe time is okay how much are thesebusinesses going to actually pay me tohandle their social media they're paidtraffic and things like that and theanswer is most businesses right at thevery bottom this is kind of like thelowest most conservative rate that youcan you expect they're gonna pay you athousand dollars per month right so ifyou get four yeses like I said at thebeginning of the video you're making$4,000 a month or $48,000 a year but thebest part about an S Mme is that there'sno traditional business expenses rightyou don't have it you don't have to havean office building there's no cost ofgoods sold there's no inventory there'sno overhead right you just don't havetraditional expenses that mostbrick-and-mortar or you know mostbusinesses in the world actually haveeverything that you actually need inFord to create a social media marketingagency you can have up here in yourbrain right and once you have the theknowledge and once you're able toactually create ads and create trafficfor these businesses and bring themtargeted leads then you become in hairmore valuable to the marketplace andwhen that happens right all of a suddeneverything starts to change one finalquestion that I'm going to addressreally quick before we actually get intoa little bit more content of actuallyhow to find your plants and how todeliver results for them is Kevin youknow how am I going to be sure that I'mactually gonna be able to get newclients for these businesses how do Iknow that I'm actually gonna be able toproduce results and that's a greatquestion right but the thing is mostpeople don't know how to advertise onFacebook so if you know even the basicsright and the more you know the betterand the more you can charge and that youknow the more money you're gonna makebut even if you know the basics likecustom audiences look-alike audienceshow to install a pixel right how toretarget that pixel traffic which is allrelatively basic knowledge and if youdon't know what those things are thenmake sure you head over to my channelafter you watch this full video andcheck out my video on Facebook ad for2019 that video is over an hour long ithas over 1.1 million views and it'sgonna teach you everything that you needto know from an introductory perspectiveto actually start your own social mediamarketing agency so how do you actuallyfind your first client who is going topay you $1,000 a month well one of thebiggest problems is the chicken and theegg right to get new clients most peopleask you for a testimonial of your pastclients but how do you actually get achest ammonia Liff no one will allow youto be their first client so what I liketo teach my students is to actually workfor free and I know that might soundstrange to begin with but that is thesingle best way to get your foot in thedoor for people to start paying you it'sa very low risk to hire on someone evenif they're brand new if you say hey youknow my name is Kevin my name is KevinDavid I just started a digital marketingcompany or a social media marketingcompany or whatever you want to call itright it's all the same thing a facebookad agency all the same thingI just started you know a brand newdigital marketing company I'd like torun your ads for one week for free andI'm gonna get you some customers and allyou have to do is cover the actual costof the ads themself you don't have topay me a cent for running your ads nobusiness in their right mind is going toturn you down right especially if theydon't know anything about digitalmarketing so if you actually go intothat business and say hey I'm gonnahandle your digital marketing I'm gonnado it for free for a week all you'regonna have to do is pay for your adget you a bunch of new profitableclients right most businesses are gonnasay okay and the beautiful thing guys isif you know what you're doing and youactually start to deliver a few resultsthen that business is gonna want to hireyou on full time because it's theeasiest decision in the world to hiresomeone who actually makes you moremoney than it costs to have them workfor you right so if my fee is $1,000 amonth and I'm making your business$2,000 a month that's a very very simpledecision and so the best way to get yourfirst testimonial which is key becauseyou can actually use that testimonial toget new clients is to work for free foryour first few clients you can get someexperience right you don't have toactually cover any of their ad coststhemselves they cover that you just workfor free right so all you're doing isgiving them your time for free and onceyou do that you know one or two timesand you can use those people astestimonials for all your futurebusiness and the most beautiful partabout social media marketing is if youknow what you're doing which of courseyou will if you know you follow myinstructions as hundreds and hundreds ofmy students in my private group havedone and you're gonna be able to deliverresults and when you can deliver resultsto local businesses into smallbusinesses every dentist and everydoctor in the world knows like ten otherdoctors that they went to med schoolwith and all those doctors also needsocial media marketing they also needdigital marketing for their businessesto get them new and profitable payingcustomers and so a lot of the otherpeople who teach you know how to do SMMA always say you know go out there andstart cold calling all these businessesI have never cold called a business inmy entire life I paid phone teams toactually cold call but it's never beenas successful as just allowing myclients right in the doctors and thedentist and the lawyers and theinsurance companies that I'm runningtraffic for introduce me throughreferrals to their other friends and toother businesses so what I say is okaydoctor you're paying me $1,000 a monthfor every new paying customer that youbring me every other doctor dentistsevery other small business owner thatyou know I'm gonna give you five hundreddollars off your bill right and so I'mmaking $1,000 and I'm giving them a fivehundred dollar discount and I have a newclient who's gonna bring me new referralso I thank you guys if you're smart arestarting to realize just how incredibleof a business model this really is allyou have to do is know how to actuallyfind your first client and then know howto deliver results so let's jump into mycomputer right now and I'm going to showyou exactly how you can find your veryfirst profitable client that you can useto go out and do your marketing for youand introduce you to all their smallbusiness owner friends so that peopleare going to be literally beating downyour door to pay you a thousand dollarsevery single month let's jump into mycomputer right now and I'll show youalright guys welcome into my screenwe're gonna go over the three easiestsimplest fastest ways to actually findyour very first client right because alot of us have family and friends andone of the best ways to actually do itis if you have a dentist if you have adoctor that you have a relationship withthat you've used for years right askthem if they wouldn't mind you doingtheir advertisements for free all youthey all they have to do is pay fortheir own ads you'll do all of the workfor free and ninety-nine percent of thetime if you have a dentist or a doctoror an insurance agent or you knowlawyers that you've worked with or anysmall businesses in your community thatyou have a relationship with they'remore than likely to say yes especiallyif you actually know what you're doingand you can deliver some results whichyou know again after you've watched thisfull video if you haven't we're gonnahave a completely free training on howto actually deliver results to thesebusinesses right here down in thedescription after the video so this isthe three easiest best strategies toactually do this so what we're gonna dois we're gonna choose a random Citydentist in Las Vegas so we're gonnaignore the ads right here and we areactually going to go and open up all ofthese dentists right here I usuallyignore like Yelp because it just makesit a little bit harder but you canactually use Yelp – so what we'relooking at right here is this is justlike a random Oh actually this is adirectory so let's not use that one sothis is like a random dentist office inLas Vegas and what this is right herethis is a little chrome extension calledFacebook pixel helper right so you canjust literally Google search Facebookpixel helper and you can see it righthere so you're gonna go in download thison Chrome once you've downloaded it itliterally will tell you if any page thatyou visit on the web has a pixel rightso we can see that this actual websitehas a pixel so this this company atleast has a basic idea what they'redoing from a facebook advertising forspective right because if they have thepixel that allows them to be able toretarget people on Facebook and so it'slike it's a very basic level ofunderstanding so we're gonna close thisone out because they have a Facebookpixel so they're not the lowest hangingfruit right they're not the bestpotential possible actual client for usso we're gonna close that one we seethat this that these people actuallyhave multiple pixels right so maybe theyhave an agency already working with themso we're gonna ignore them too but wesee right here right that this thiscompany excuse me this dentist does nothave a pixel if we if we use the pic ofFacebook pixel helper extension it saysno pixels found on LVS smiles right andso what we can do is we can take thisphone number and we can call them or wecan you know look for their contactinformation down below right here'stheir Facebook Instagram we can messagethem on Instagram we could give them acall right and we could say hey you knowmy name is Kevin David I run a digitalmarketing company I was browsing yourwebsite and I saw that you didn't have apixel installed you know I couldprobably you know create a lot moreprofitable customers for you guys andyou know I'm just starting out mydigital marketing company so I'd bewilling to do it completely for free Iwouldn't charge you a single cent for mytime and I would just bring you guys abunch of you know brand new profitablecustomers and most people in their rightminds are gonna say yes right so whenyou actually call this number thoughyou're probably gonna get a secretary sonormally what I like to do is I'll sayyou know is the is the actual residentdentist right like trying to talk tolike a decision-maker rather than anactual secretary can just save you timebut a lot of times the secretary willpass on whatever you say to the actualowner of the business and most of thetime they are going to be interested inwhat you have to say right so that is avery very simple way to actually findyour very first client another extremelysimple way is what's called BNI so whatBNI is is Business Network internationalright so I'm just going to use the sameexample BNI at Las Vegas what this is isit's a it's just a massive networkingorganization for business owners so ifyou have a social media marketing agencyor you you know you actually performservices for local businesses likerunning Facebook Ads like managingsocial media BNI is an amazing place toactually go and get new customers rightfind new customers you go to theseevents and you just introduce yourselfeveryone's very friendly everyone'sliterally therespecifically to network right and so allyou have to do is go and network and sayhey you know I've run Facebook Ads youdon't have to say that you're the bestFacebook advertiser in the world rightbut say that yeah you know I started adigital marketing company recently andI've been you know having a lot of goodresults for my clients if that's true orjust you know all you have to say is Ijust recently started my social mediamarketing company you know I'd be happyto set up an appointment to see if Icould help your business right and thisis one of the fastest easiest ways thatmy students have been able to get abunch of new clients literally sometimesin a day and if you get four peopleright if you network and go for an houryou could talk you could easily talk tofour people 15 minutes each and if allfour of them say yes boom instantlyyou're making more than the averageAmerican is making for people to say yesusing BNI and the third strategy thatwe're going to talk about it's justusing Facebook right literally going onFacebook into the normal search bar andtyping in dentist Las Vegas right and wewent over here to pages and I would openup every single one of these pages and Iwould message them right I would lookand see if there's anything that I thinkthat they could do so you know all ofthese people probably have websites youknow you can see dentist of north LasVegas we didn't see this one right so Iwould go into this website and I wouldsee if they have a pixel right they do Icould still call them if I wanted to butI'll go through every single one ofthese I would you know send them amessageI would I would go and check out theirwebsite and I would literally send thema message saying hey you know I run adigital marketing company I run a socialmedia marketing company you know I'd behappy to run your ads completely forfree just to show you that I can giveyou results so it's zero risk on yourpart and I can just literally delivercompletely free value and 99% ofbusinesses say yes right so those arethree extremely extremely profitableactual ways to get your very firstclient right and doing it for freeto get your first testimonial then allof a sudden you have testimonials andit's much easier to get new clientbecause you have testimonials and all ofa sudden your current clients areactually introducing you to all of theirother small business owner friends andall of a sudden you have a ton of newclients that are paying you $1,000 amonth or more it's one of the beautifulparts about a social media marketingcompany is you can charge a thousanddollars a month maybe for the first fourpeople that you work with then the fifthperson you charge two thousand dollars amonth right you literally chargewhatever you want to charge if you onlywant five clientsand maybe you charge $1,000 for thefirst person mm for the second threethousand for the third right I've hadclients that I was charging literally$20,000 a month to run their actual adsfor and obviously these are largerbusinesses and it was after someexperience but the point is guys it'ssupply and demand like any otherbusiness and it's a very beautiful thingthat as you start to get more clientsyou literally become more valuable andyour time becomes more valuable so youcan either hire people to help you runthose ads or you can charge more foryour time so as you guys can see it'sliterally such a good opportunity tocreate a social media marketing agencyliterally with those three introductorystrategies you can get started I want toshow just a couple of my students we'vehad such ridiculous immediate successthis right here is John and he'sliterally where's gonna let listen tohim for like the next ten seconds he'sone of my favorite students in the firstweek he ever started trying to create anFM ma write his social media marketingagency he had tremendous success let'slisten I am really quick what's upbitches just left a dentist office he'sgot only one location but to presentedthe Facebook Adsit's just like Kevin's got the course Ihad went out on her Facebook pageand their website I've got some picturessotarget they love the idea I gave thevalue of the clicks funnel of $2,000we're just really quickly you can talkabout Jennifer who made over eleventhousand dollars profit in three daysusing what we teach inside of my privategroup guys I want to show just one morethis is Andrew he literally veryrecently worked at a hotel and you cansee right here in the screenshot he'sgetting absolutely tremendous resultsfor his clients Shopify store you cansee him saying right here that he haseleven clients now and that is a minimumof a one thousand dollar payment everysingle month per client so he's makingat the minimum eleven thousand dollarsper month so if you want to learnexactly how Andrew started to makeeleven thousand dollars per month withzero experience and zero money to startwe are hosting a completely freetraining and if you want to join thattraining all you have to do is click tothe link in the description right hereand we're gonna teach you some much morein-depth strategies on how to getstarted running Facebook Adsfor local businesses and getting paidvery very well to actually do exactlythat so I hope you guys I thought it was such a greatidea and so ever since then I have beenmaking a little list of my favoriteitems from Amazon and I love themthey're so unique they're so differentsome of them I really don't think youprobably have ever seen before so Ican't wait to share them with youI will link everything down below I'mpretty sure everything is stillavailable because Amazon is amazing withtheir inventory so if you want to shopanything just check the description boxbelow but if you are new to my channelthen hello my name is Shay and I'm soglad you're here I would love for you toconsider subscribing by hitting the redbutton right down below I make at leasttwo videos every single week and I wouldlove to have you back so give this videoa thumbs up if you are obsessed withAmazon like myself do you guys haveAmazon Prime because I do and it's atotal GameChanger I'm obsessed you canget things in two days and it's amazingso the first thing that I'm going tostart with is this weird-looking pouchnow what it is you ask I shall tell youit is something amazing for the mostunorganized organized person out thereso this is more of a travel item andit's for your makeup but what you do isyou actually just put your makeup all inhere and then when you're traveling andyou're in your hotel room or whereveryou are you just open it up and itcompletely displays your makeup and youcan just see everything perfectly youdon't have to like move everythingaround in your makeup bag I do have areally expensive Louboutin and makeupbag but I haven't even been using thatlately because this is so handy and soeasy in the center here there areelastic bands for your makeup brushes soyou can just slide those right inthere's also a zip compartment in thereso if you want to put anything that youdon't want to get lost maybe a necklaceor a pair of earrings sometimes actuallythrow a in there and then everythingelse you literally can just pile onthere and then you just go like that yousecure it with this little plastic cliphere and I literally just stick it in mybag and it is so functional it's so easyit saves me time I don't really have tolay out my makeup is just alreadydisplayed right on the counter for youit does have this little loop here ifyou do want to carry it it's veryinexpensive like I said I'll link itdown below I don't remember the exactprice but it's veryvery very affordable and yeah I wasreally happy with the price the nextitems I am super excited to show youbecause I've actually received a lot ofquestions about them and they are what Iuse for my monthly planner now sothey're for a while I was all aboutagain in the Louboutin planner I have athing for Louboutin but that one endedup being too small for me because I didhave the smallest size so I ended upselling that and I found these on Amazonand oh my gosh these are so cheap Ithink they're like $14 it actually comestogether this is the monthly planner andthen it comes along with a littlehardcover notebook both of these arehardcover I do have it in the marblepattern which is perfect for me but italso comes in a lot of other colors anda lot of other patterns as well so Ilove so many things about this planner Ilove how it has sections for each day ofthe week but it does come with plastictabs already in there for every singlemonth so you can easily skip to JuneJuly December October whatever at thebeginning of each tab is a full calendaron two pages here is July spread it ismuch cleaner but it also comes with thisawesomebookmark and you actually just clip itright into the spiral bound notebook andI do use this all the time because if Iam in the middle of a month like throughthe week I do to stick that right inthere for the day that I'm working onand then I keep this in my purse andthen throughout the day or throughoutthe week I can easily pull it out and Iknow exactly where I amthe very back page does have the futureyear listed on it so all of 2019 s datesare right there and that has come inquite handy actually and then if you dowant to see 2018 s which is the currentyear just at a glance that's on thefront cover and then there are variousnote sections throughout the planner aswell which I also find helpful but Ialso really love this little matchingnotebook that it comes with becauseagain it is hardcover and it's just fornotes and I make so many lists I am sucha list person and so I love how that'scoordinating I love how it's matchingbut at the same time I can keep separatelists of what I need to do that day orthings that I need to do in the future Iknow so many people keep track of thingsin their phone but for me I need tovisually see it and I just need to writeit down it's just so helpful wheneverI'm done with the list like here's oneright now I can just rip it out and Ican throw it away and I can move on tomy next task the next thing that I wantto talk about is pretty small but itpacks a punch I think you guys saw thisin a video where I showed a handbag andI actually didn't talk about it but alot of you asked questions about it it'sactually called a bud Li and it is myearphones holder it's like this siliconematerial it's super soft and squishy andit just kind of flips open like that andit holds my earbuds really really wellit keeps them from not being tangled andthere's a little section right in themiddle that you put the actual earbudsin and then you just wrap it rightaround like that so they don't ever gettangled and they are in a specific spotin my bag and I can always reach forthem and it's just really handy andreally cheap and really cool who everkind of invented this is awesomeI picked gray just because it seemedclean it's gonna hide the dirt reallywell and it kind of just goes with theApple product vibe in a way if you dowant a fun color they have those as wellthe next item that I want to talk aboutis actually a Polaroid camera I believeit's called the snap it is so cool I gotit to kind of take little pictures likeinstant pictures of the boys I want tobuy a little album that I can put all ofthe pictures in I know everybody lovestaking pictures on their phones and I doas well but there's just something abouthaving a tangible picture that you canactually put like on the refrigerator orin the office your bedroom like whereveror in a photo album I rarely take thetime to actually print I know somepeople are great at that they makeamazing scrapbooks I'm sure down theroad I will print very high qualitypictures and actually put them in aphoto album I did start that with theboys when they were very youngI'm very behind on it this is just sofun the boys love taking pictures Ithink I'm actually gonna call them downin this video and take a picture and youguys can see what the quality looks likewhen I actually take a picture but justan overview of this really quickly thereis a lens cap it's just magnetic you canjust take that off and then when youtake the photo you can select if youwant it to be black and white full coloror a sepia shade so I usually do fullcolor I think that just looks the bestbut also black and white is really cooltooyou just hit the on button and then itflips up the viewfinder as soon as youhit the button it does start printingand you get your photo within like 10 to20 seconds there's also this otherbutton right here that you can selectfor a frame or border so when you selectthat it does print out with the classicPolaroid frame again I think that's cuteif you want to decorate like your officewith that picture or maybe therefrigerator but if you're gonna put thephoto in an album I think it's good justto leave it the full frame alrighty so Ijust called thedown and it is Saturday morning Inormally wake up really early in themorning and start filming so that Idon't miss time with them throughout theday so they did just wake up so come onover boys let's have a little cameo inthe video and I'm gonna take a pictureof you so come on in say hello this isPaxton and this is Hayes so I want youguys just stand right here can we take apicture of you one two smile all rightit's gonna start printing see it'scoming out right thereit's so cute it is you Wow does thatlook goodyeah Wow pretty cool here let me showthem so yeah like isn't that super supercute so we do this outside we'll do itin the house we'll do it wherever andlike I said I just want to get an albumand just kind of like make a Polaroidpicture album I think this costs under$90 and then you do have to buy thisZink paper this is super cheap Ihonestly think this is like the perfectgift it's very unusual it's very uniqueI actually purchased this for a reallygood friend right after she had a babyeverybody was buying her baby thanks butI got her this so she could kind ofinstantly document all the cute thingsthe baby was doing I think it's greatfor kids I don't know I just think it'sall-around just a really cool thing sothe next thing that I want to talk aboutis actually my essential oil holder thisis more of a recent purchase for me I'dgot it in the last few weeks but I'vebeen loving it because I am an essentialoil junky I love them so much but forthe longest time I was just veryunorganized with how I stored them I hadsome upstairs I had some downstairs theyweren't in any particular orderwhatsoever and I was always looking fora specific oil that I wanted to diffuseor that I wanted to clean with or treatsomething with by the way thank you guysso much for all of your comments on mylast video I did ask you guys if youwanted to see an essential oils videowhere I talked about all of my favoriteways to use them and I got anoverwhelming response seriously likeevery single comment was doing essentialoils video doing essential oils videoI'd love to see that so that was superinspiring but anyway I found this onAmazon and now I just keep this rightbeside my bed the top is where I storethe black lid essential oils the middleis where I store the white lid thebottom drawer is a little bit larger butI actually haven't filled it up it'sactually where I store all of thestickers beit does come with labels that you canput right on top of the essential oilsit would make it so much more organizedso I really need to take the time to dothat you can color coordinate there areblank ones so you can actually write onwhat it is because a lot of times I dolike to mix my own essential oils andkind of make my own blendalthough Young Living is kind of knownfor their amazing blends I love them Ilove this cute handle up here it's sucha nice detail it's kind of like anantiquey vibe and then if you're not afan of the upright cabinet look theyalso have a version that's more of likea suitcase look it's kind of like atreasure chest in a way so I'll linkthat one down below it just kind ofdepends on where you're going to storethem and what shape and size you'relooking for I do sell Young Living onthe side just because they're myfavorite essential oils and I just buyso much of it it just made sense if youdo want to try them out I mentioned inmy last video that I'm obsessed with thestarter kit just dip your toes in andI'm telling you guys you're gonna gethooked just like me already so the nextitem is another travel item that hastotally revolutionized the way that Itravel so it's called the stow and goand it's the size of a carry-on piece ofluggage but it's very flat but it doescompletely expand and you can organizeeverything that you're taking on yourtrip and then when you get thereyou can easily pull it right out of yoursuitcase hang it right up in the closetand everything is organized ready to gowhen I recently went to Las Vegas I didshow this in my vlog so if you saw thatvideo this is the same thing a lot ofyou wanted to know where I got it soagain it's from Amazon there's also thissection down here that you zip up sothat's usually where I keep like mybathing suit my bras my underwear socksand then throughout the trip I actuallythrow in dirty things in here so as theyget dirty they're separated from therest of my things and I just keep themin there and then when I get homeeverything in this section is completelydirty and I just throw it in the laundrywhen you're ready to pack everything upagain you just put everything in hereand it smooshes it down it can reallysmoosh the air out and make it very veryflat and compact you just stick it rightin your carry-on piece of luggage andsometimes I even have room on topsometimes I don't depending on how muchI'm taking but this is seriously soconvenient such aGameChanger and i highly highlyrecommend itthe next item that I want to show you isanother little item that is very smallvery cheap but I love it it really kindof makes me productive and what it'scalled is today's plan of attack is justa little notepad and it is sticky and itbreaks up your day of to do's in themost critical would be nice not a chanceso basically you just write down all ofthe things that you want to accomplishthat day you break them up into like thevery most important thing the thingsthat you hope to do and then items thatyou probably won't get to but you stillhave it written down so if you do getthrough the whole list and you haveextra time you can tackle it and onceyou write it down it gives you a littlebit more motivation to actually do it soI use this all the time especially onthe weekends like on Saturday or Sundayand since it's a sticky I'll stick itright in the bathroom mirror or I'llstick it right in the kitchen where Ican see it throughout the day like kindof like high-traffic areas it's supercheap and just like a really great itemto just add to your cart and hopefullyit'll encourage you to be a little moreproductive so the next items that I wantto include are my travel coffee mugsbecause they are a little bit differentthan what many people carry so mostpeople carry plastic or metal travelmugs and those are great I mean theydefinitely keep the heat in pretty wellbut honestly I'm a little health nut andI keep reading over and over again howhot plastic even if they are bpa-freeand the metals they do leach outchemicals and metals that we reallyshouldn't be ingesting into our bodiesnow you guys obviously can thinksomething totally different but for meand my preferences I really do prefer tohave ceramic and pure glass I showedthis in another video before it justsays hustle and heart will set you apartso I love this travel mug I'm reallyupset because they actually lost the topto it I think it's somewhere in thehouse but it does come with a brightpink top so I'll link this one but I'malso loving this glass mug there's twolayers in here so when you're drinkingsomething very very hot you're not gonnaburn yourself or anything the top andbottom it does have silicones so it'sreally easy when you set it down itdoesn't make a sound or anything it'sjust called B well I got it in the browncolor because I thought it kind ofresembled coffee but of course it doescome in some really fun colors the lasttwo things I'm actually combining intoone so this is like my ninth and tenthrecommendation from Amazon this is thecrazy suction microdermabrasion tool Iactually talked about this in my lastvideo I'm obsessed with this tool Ithink maybe I'm just gonna start withthis but this is the facial cupping setwhich I'll get to that in one secondboth are great I love them both so muchso I wasn't really sure which to pick Igot them both on Amazon so I just wantedto include them in this video so anywayso like I showed you in my last videoI'll probably insert a clip of me usingit again a lot of people are all aboutthe PMD or the personalmicrodermabrasion tool I've never usedthat but it does seem to get mixedreviews but I found this one on Amazonand the reviews are fantastic it's likealmost 5 star reviews and so many peopleloved it and so I was very intrigued andso I ended up ordering it and I have totell you that I am like not disappointedwhatsoever it is so interesting it doescome with four different heads thisparticular head is more for the actualmicrodermabrasion which it really doestake off kind of like the top layer ofyour skin it makes your skin so smoothso supple it just like really instantlymakes a huge difference in the way yourskin feels but there's also the suctiontools and they come with three differentversions and it kind of centralizes orspreads out the suction depending onwhat you're looking for and it reallysucks out all of like the blackheads andthe whiteheads you like actually see itcoming out of your face which isdisgusting but like I said it's justlike impressive results it doesn't takebatteries so you just recharge it onceit's getting low it's super easy Ialways do this at night I don't do itevery single night I do it probablymaybe once or twice a week and it doesleave your face a little bit red butthen by the time you wake up the nextmorning you're back to normaldepending on your skin sensitivity andyou know like what your skin handles Iwould kind of start out low and thenlike kind of work up to see what's bestfor you now this facial cupping set onthe other hand is also really great it'sprobably not as harsh as this not thatthis you know tool is harsh or anythingbut this is more of like a subtle thingbut again it does make a very noticeabledifference even on the front here itsays it smooths lines and wrinkles it'skind of like a skin detox it's oftenscars improves collagen and elastinwhich is definitely true it tightens andtones facial muscles lymphatic drainagerelief from migraines even reducespuffiness itkind of weird-looking but what you do Iusually put on like a little serum orsomething to make my skin a little bitslippery I guess you just squeeze thissuction it to your face and you don'tkeep it in one spot and then you move itquickly all over your face it reallypulls up like the blood cells to thesurface of your skin it's not like itbruises you or you see you look reallyred afterwards or anything you might bea little flushed but it goes away veryquickly but it really kind of like pullsup the oxygen and the blood cells and itjust repairs so many of your cells onthe back here it does give you someinstructions so I would you know look atthat as well it comes with this littlelike facial massage or scrubberI think it's great for getting makeupoff and it's just I don't know I reallylike this thing actually and thenvarious sizes of these based on likewhat area you want to use so I usuallyuse like the biggest one over here andthen there's actually a really small onemaybe it's upstairs but I'll use thatlike around my nose and another thingthat I notice it really does reduce finelines kind of kind of long-term but thenalso temporarily because it like pullsup your skin and plumps it so with thisI actually use more in the morningbecause it doesn't leave my skin weirdafterwards and it really does like plumpup my face in a way but not weird butjust enough that I I don't see like mymakeup falling into the little lines onmy face so that does it for my top 10favorite items from Amazon I really hopeyou enjoy this video I feel likeeverything that I mentioned was veryunique very interesting very differentnot not everybody is going to have theseitems so I hope you enjoyed this videolike I've said probably many timeseverything will be listed and linkeddown below if you want to check anythingout if you guys have any like Amazonfavorites that you'd like swear by oryou just love please comment them downbelow I'm always looking for new and funthings from Amazon it's probably bad Iprobably spend too much money there butAmazon Prime it's it just gets you everytime if you like this video please giveit a thumbs up and be sure to subscribeif you haven't already so thank you guysagain and I'll see you very soon in mynext video bye[Music]

How To Start An E-Commerce Business
– One of the companies I used to ownis actually E-commerce business. It's one of the most successful venturesthat I have done in my career. And, we were doing millions and millionsof dollars every year and actually wonthe Online Retailer of the
Year Award by Canada Post. So, when it comes to E-commercemaybe you're thinking about startingan e-commerce business, you
don't know where to start.Today I wanna give you three
keys, kinda three lessonsI've learned during that time
before I sold the company.Number one, when it comesto E-commerce conversion matters a lot.Conversion matters a lot.So, you should be constantly measuringyour conversion rate on different pages.Your bounce rate, meaning
people hit your homepage.Where are you seeing people
exiting from your site?Where are you losing people? Now, one of the things that we noticewhen I was running an E-commerce businessthat we were losing a big chunkof the customers at the checkout, right? At the checkout page, we're losing a big,so they like the product,
they click the product, they add to cart by the
time they get to buy,we lose a whole lot of people. So, I was saying to myself,
okay, this is not good. What could we do?So, then we added a lot
of different things.Example, we added actually testimonialsduring the checkout process. We streamlined it and
simplified the checkout process. So, in the beginning,
back then I didn't know,we had a multi-step process. And then, we changed all of thatto make it much shorter, right. They see the product, they click,if they are add in the cart,
they continue as a guest, that's fine, all right,
credit card information.Instead of that many steps,we shorten it to this many steps. And, we noticed sales
dramatically increased. So, conversion matters. You have to measure everything. You're looking at data,
you're looking at your pages. You have to know exactly what is going on.It is not so much just about the product. It's about your customers,
visitors behavior, right. And when you have got some
products that are selling well, make sure you feature
those on your homepage. That's key number one.Key number two, you need
to have a content strategyas well as a paid strategy. So, we were running a
lot of ads on Google,Pay-Per-Click, we were
spending a lot of money, right. But, in the beginning
especially no one knowswhy they should come to
our store, online store. So, we were just doing a lot of that. But then, later on, we also
spent quite a bit of moneyoptimizing our website
for search engine traffic, just organic traffic. So, we were creating a lot of pagesand rank certain key words in Googleso people could find us just organically. So, in the beginning what's interestingis 90-somewhat percent of our
sales were coming from paid.Pay-Per-Click, we were
spending a ton of money, right,To get some traction. But later on,actually later, a few years afterwardswithin the company, the
revenue, then it's almost 60-40.60% of our sales were coming
from organic, free traffic.Well, I wouldn't say they're
entirely free because wedo invest time and money
creating content for them. But, only 40% comes from paid. So, to do E-commerce I believeif you have your own store,
meaning you're not sellingthrough Amazon 'cause Amazon
already has all the traffic. But let's say you're not
selling through Amazon, you have your own E-commerce store.I believe you need to have
a very good organic strategyas well as a paid strategy. And, last lesson I wanna share with youwhen it comes to E-commerce
is, inventory kills.Inventory kills. What would kill you the most is youhave way too much inventory of
products that you don't sell.Depends on what kinda products
you sell, do they expire?Assuming your products don't expireyou're gonna sit on a lot
of products that don't sell. And, you're sitting in
a lot of cash, right? So, you've gotta be very, very carefulwhen it comes to inventory management. Now, before I sold the E-commerce company,we were sitting on millions, millions of dollars worth of inventory. Now, I'm glad I could
sell all of that, right. And get all that money back, otherwiseif there's any problem,we would have been sitting
on a bunch of dead inventory. So, be very, very careful, very mindful when it comes to inventory.I would rather you have fewer
products in the beginning.Test it out to see what your customer, your marketplace likes, right,
whoever your audience is.See what they like first,
before you go crazyand have so many skew, have
so many units and products.Oh, I'm gonna buy 1000
of these, 2000 of thesebecause you'll be tempted.Wow you know, if I order way more,my cost per unit goes way down. But, what you don't think
about, you don't consider, factor in is, what if it doesn't sell? Now, you're sitting on
thousands of somethingthat it doesn't sell.It becomes a big problem,
so inventory kills. And, this is also why I
stress if you're thinkingof earning more money,
before you go out thereand start an E-commerce business, I talkabout that through my wealth triangle. You should develop your
high income skill first. You can go watch my
high income skill video.I talk about why it's so criticalto develop your high income skill firstbefore you go out there and
start that scalable business, before you start that E-commerce business. So, go watch that video.

Build a Full Featured Ecommerce Website With Opencart
hey guys in this video I'm going to showyou how to create a full-featured onlinestore in e-commerce website with opencart which is an open source platformnow I know I don't have to say this tomy sister my subscribers but there's alot of paid hosted ecommerce programsout there and I would definitely adviseyou not to fall for that crap most ofthe time you don't have access to thesource code which makes it almostimpossible to customize it and make itoriginal an example of this would besomething like wicks or Squarespace orsomething like that there's plenty ofgood open source platforms out therethere's open card Magento PrestaShop andthey're all free not only that they comewith their own community where you canget support you can get answers and soon all right you don't have to just dealwith one company like you would with Wixso in this video what we're going to dois we're going to download opencartwe're going to actually upload it to alive web host with a domain name andwe're going to set everything up alrightnow as far as web hosting goes I wouldsuggest in motion hosting to for anyshared hosting I've used them for yearsand they've been just awesome and ifyou're looking to get shared hosting andsee how cheap it is $7.99 per month youknow which is nothing and you get a fullcPanel you get full access an unlimiteddatabases and so on I do have a link andaffiliate link in the description so ifyou guys are going to purchase a packageI'd appreciate it if you could gothrough that link alright so before weget started I'm going to show you whatwe're going to be building which is awebsite called DJ outlet which is aonline shop that sells DJ equipment nowthis is actually the default Open Carttheme I just edited the CSS a little bitto change up the colors and they alsocreated this custom logo which isn'tthat great but you know it makes it morecustom and I'll also show you how to dothat in Photoshop okay I'm going toinclude all the files or a link to allthe files in the description so you'llbe able to get the logo if you don'twant to create it yourself alright so wehave this slideshow here which i thinkis really cool you don't have to use itbutyou can and it's a way to showcasecertain products and then down here wehave the four products that I created Ibasically just took the info from Amazonalright and I'm not going to go throughthe entire front end right now because Idon't want it to take too long but justjust to give you the gist of it we canadd products to a wish list for if wewant to save them for later now if I tryto do that now it's going to tell us tolog in or create an account there's afull authentication system for customersand they can log in they can track theirorders they can you know contact supportand all that stuff so let's say we wantto look at this here this DJ controllerit has a product details page and youcan upload multiple images alright andyou can scroll through those images andthere's a description you can addrelated products reviews que customerscan write reviews and let's see they canshare listings there's just a ton ofstuff here now if we wanted to purchasethis we could add it to our cart and uphere you'll see one item if we click onthat it will show us kind of a drop-downof the cart and if we go to view cart wecan see the full the full cart alrightwith all our products we can change thequantities we can remove themthere's even coupon codes we can use Ithink I created one called Brad so seehow it's $99 if I apply the coupon nowdown here it's 89 it's a 10% coupon allright we can estimate shipping we caneven add gift certificates alright sothere's there's not too much that youcan't do with this platform now I'm notgoing to go through the whole checkoutbut I'll show you some of it so you caneither make customers register for anaccount or you can enable guest checkoutwhere they don't have to actually createan account but I would probably suggestthat you disable guest checkout just soyou get all that info and so yourcustomers have a way to track everythingand so on it might you know it mighteliminate some confusion for the futureand then once you do that they can entertheir ship it their address details andall thatI'm not going to go through this entirething but you see they'll check they'llpick delivery details delivery methodpayment method I think I have PayPalenabled and also CEO Dr Cobb cash ondelivery and then they can just checkout all right and they'll get an emailand all that stuff everything's takencare of all right so I think that that'sall I'm going to do for net for showingyou the front end for nowyou see there's also the categories inthe menu here so this is exactly whatwe'll be building now I'm not going togo through the back end right now butit's it's very intuitive and verycustomizable so to get started here youneed obviously hosting if you don't wantto upload this on to a live post I wouldsuggest xampp which I'm sure many of youhave used before basically it gives youan Apache server on your local machineit gives you PHP and by the way OpenCartis a PHP platform and it also gives youMySQL so you can use that what I wantedto kind of do you know I wanted to builda live application I don't do that toooften all right so this is my C panelfor in motion hosting if you usesomething like Hostgator or GoDaddy theyalso have cPanel that you can use and itshould look very similar to this so weneed a database to store everything userinfo product info it all has to gosomewhere so we're going to use a MySQLdatabase and cPanel makes it really easyto create ok so if we go to databasesand we go to let's do MySQL databasewizard so we're going to create adatabase here let's say just call itcall it DJ outlet and click next stepwe're going to create a user I'm goingto do the same thing DJ outlet actuallywe can't do that many characters let'sjust do this to prod alright it's goingto be prefixed with your domain ifyou're using cPanel and by the way Idon't know if I mentioned it but we'reusing the domain code demos comalright so password let's see I'll justdo I'm going to delete all this afteranyways so let's go ahead and createpassword strength must be at least 20all right so let's do ABC 1 2 3exclamationABC 1 2 3 exclamation and create userall right now right here we need to pickthe permissions for the user I'm justgoing to click all privileges and clicknext step and we should be all set so wehave this as the user and this as thedatabase now if you're using xampp orlamp or something like that you'llcreate a database probably through PHPmyadmin which is also available forcPanel so if we go back and we go todatabases phpMyAdmin it should redirectus ok you can see we have the databaseright here code demo DJ outlet and it'sempty right now all right when we gothrough the installation of Open Cartit's going to fill everything up it'sgoing to create all the tables and so onso now that we have the database we cango to Open Cart calm and go ahead anddownload everything so a free downloadand click on download now and it's goingto give you a zip package ok the currentversion is two point three point zeropoint two yours may be different buteverything should still be the samealright now I already downloaded it Ishould have it in my downloads righthere alright so I'm not going to do thatand then you want to upload those toyour web host ok and the easiest way todo that is through FTP so if you'reusing cPanel you should have alreadyhave an FTP account with the same thesame details as your you know yourusername for your cPanel and so on yourpassword but you can create more FTPaccounts if we go to right here FTPaccountsand yeah you can see I already have anFTP account with the actual details ofcPanel but you can create another onehere for instance you could say Brad atcode demos comm or whatever your domainis password and so on okay once youcreate that you need a way to log inthrough FTP and I would suggestFileZilla so if you go to FileZillaproject org you want the client okay youcan download that so I already have thatopen I'm going to bring that down I'malready logged into code demos and I'vealready uploaded what I need to alrightso what you need to upload let's goahead and open up that zip package thatwe downloaded ok we'll just go ahead andextract that so take everything outalright now this includes everything allthe source code you don't want to uploadeverything what you want to upload toyour hosts is everything that's in thisupload folder so if we open that up thisincludes all the actual files that weneed now this is very important you seethis config disk file file there's onehere there's also one in the adminfolder you need to rename these ok youneed to just take off the – distso it's just config dot PHP alright samething in the admin folder I'm just goingto remove the disk alright and Iactually didn't do that to the filesthat I uploaded so I'm going to justoverwrite those alright so once you'relogged in to your host via FTP you wantto just grab everything here in theupload folder and just drag it over anddrop it in and it'll all upload alrightyou can see I didn't rename my configfiles so what I'm going to do is justgrab this one and bring it over oopsokay let's reload okay now I'm justgoing to delete the dist okay and thenin the admin folder same thing let's goover here and bring over config.php andI'm going to delete the dist all rightso now that everything is uploaded andthe config files are renamed we can goahead and install it so let's close thisup and we're going to go back to the webbrowser see which one we add here allright and we're going to go to well I'mgoing to go you want to go to yourdomain name but I'm going to go to codedemos comm all right and it's going tostart the install it should beredirected to install slash index.phpall right so this is just the thelicense and so on so we'll clickcontinue and then it's going to run acheck on everything it's going to checkyour PHP versions going to check some ofthe PHP config and you can seeeverything is ok if you have these greenchecks now if you didn't rename theconfig file right here you're going toget it's not going to say writable it'llsay error or something like that orpermissions denied all right but we didrename it so everything is okay all thedirectories is ok so we should be allset to click continue and then here weneed to put in the parameters of ourdatabase so if you're using xampp orsomething like that you're probablyusing the root user so you want to keepthat and then put in your password we'reusing live hosting here so I'm going tograb the user name for the password copythat and put that right in there alrightand this is going to be localhost in youknow 99 percent of fall cases all rightand then let's grab the database nameand put that in there right right hereand then we're going to put the passwordfor the database which is abc123exclamation and then down here we wantto create aadmin account for our system so I'm justgoing to leave admin as the username andI'll just put that for the passwordalright and then for the email I'm goingto put my one of my actual emailsalright and we'll click continueand that should set everything up andyou can see it says don't forget todelete your installation directorythat's very important for securityreasons go over to FileZilla and goahead and delete that install folderalright so that will delete and then wehave the option to go to our shop andalso the option to go to the back endall right so let's first go to the shopand we have our front end okay and it bydefault it's going to give you all ofthe sample data I'm going to show youhow to delete that in a few minutes butyou can see we're actually at code demoscomm we have a live ecommerce site onthe Internet okay with and we didn'teven write any code all right so let'sgo ahead and go to the backend which youhaven't even seen yet and we see it'swe're at code demos comm slash admin sowe're going to put in our credentialsand see it says install folder stillexists because it's actually stilldeleting or it should be I think it'sstill going but that will disappearthere we go and this is the dashboardokay so this will show you all youranalytics your sales analytics yourcustomers some customers that are onlineyour sales all that stuff all yourtracking data and over here we have allthe different options I really reallylike this interface so we have ourcategories and you can see there's allsample stuff here that's what you'reseeing on the front end if we go toproductsproducts all right so you can see theseare all the different products that areon the front end there's a lot of sampledata but I'm going to show you exactlyhow to get rid of all that and startfrom scratch if we look at some of theseother menu items we have differentattributes and options you can giveproducts let's take a look at thatso attributes now these are certainattributes for certain products forinstance clockspeed that's probably foryou know one of the computers number ofcoresobviously these are you can see they'rein the group processor and we see ourattribute attribute groups right here somotherboard processor technical we'regoing to delete all these but just toshow you you can do it and you can setup different options for with a checkboxcheckboxes radios selects all that stufffor instance if we go to let's go toApple cinema 30-inch and over here theyhave some available options okay andthese they just named it's small mediumlarge which doesn't really make sensefor this product but you can do that forinstance if you wanted to choose ascreen size or something like that allright and they have a bunch of stuffhere I think they have every type ofoption available just to show you how itworks all right but we're not going touse options for our products so let'ssee what else we havemanufacturers okay so you can createcertain manufacturers they have all thetech companies and if we look at thefront end if we look at the homepagethey have a slider with all thedifferent manufacturer logos okay so youcan do that as well now when it comes tothose sliders on the front end those areactually extensions if we go toextensions and there's a bunch of thesealready set up and you can also installother ones you can also purchase themthere's premium extensions but if we goto modules and down here you'll seeslideshow on the home page and if wewant to edit that we can do that fromhereall right actually the module itself wecan edit from here okay so the width andthe height and all that if you want toadd images to the sliders then you willgo to see where is itwell is it layouts no banners and hereit is a homepage slideshow if we clickEdit you can see we have the two imagesthat are in that and this should also bethe manufacturers slideshow right herewith those images alright so what elsecustomers this is where all yourcustomers will be listed all your orderseverything affiliates you even have abuilt in affiliate system where you canget you can have users sign up and theycan get paid for for sales on your onyour site and what else settings userswhich includes the admin users and so onanalytics I'm not going to go througheverything but it's just a ton so what Iwant to do now is start to delete thesample data okay so there's a few areaswe need to do that and let's start withcategories okay so we're just going tocheck all of these and then go up hereand click delete click OKlet's get these ones as well delete allright then we're going to go to productsand we want to delete all the productsok and let's see we want to go to let'ssee products out at rebukes I'm going toget rid of attributesokay and also attribute groups all rightand now for the banners let's go tobanners and I'm actually not going todelete them I'm going to just disablethem alright so let's go to edit andwe'll click disabled save same thingwith this one or the manufacturersdisabled alright and let's see what elsemanufacturers themselves let's go aheadand delete those and I think we shouldbe all set so if we go back to thefront-end and reload we basically havejust an empty and empty site here okayall the functionalities there but theproducts and all that stuff is gonewe're going to create new ones so nowwe're going to do is start to customizeour store so let's go back to the backend and we're going to go to let's seewhere is it settings right hereall right now you can actually createmultiple stores with the same platformall right but we're just going to usethis default and click edit so let'schange some stuff up we'll change thename to DJ outlet meta tag descriptionwe could say cheap and professional DJequipment ok keywords so you could dolike DJ equipment turntables mixers andso onok and then the theme there's only oneby default which is default and you caneither create a separate theme or youcan buy a separate theme you can get afree one well there's all differentoptions for that and then default layoutwe're just going to keep default allright now if we go to store we're goingto once again change this to DJ outletswe're going to store owner put miningaddress I will just say 55 Main StreetBoston Mass we don't need the geo codeemail we're going to keep that telephonefax now image right here you probablywant to chain but we're going to get tothe images in a minute all right andthen let's go to local and you canchange up this stuff I'm just going toleave it actually let's change thecountry-region state I'll sayMassachusetts and we'll leave the restyou can change your currency and so onall rightoption so these are just differentoptions for instance if you want todisable reviews you can do that taxesaccount information we're just going toleave yeah we're going to leave all thatstuff and then image so your store logowill take care of that in a secondyou can even link your FTP account butwe're going to leave all that stuff youcan put it into maintenance mode so thatpeople can't you know do anything on thefront endand then let's just go ahead and clicksave up here alright so let's go aheadand create a logo so I'm going to go toGoogle Images let's just search forrecord ok let's seeI want X let's do record icon becausethis is specific one I want which isthis one right here alright I'm justgoing to show you the process that I gothrough to create simple logos and likeI said the it will be available in thedownloads if you don't want to do thisyourselfso let's go ahead and click save imageas and you can see I already haveeverything that I need in this folder solet's see I'll just create another one Iguess so let's say new folder and we'llsay DJ outlet underscore images alrightand then I'm going to create a folder inthere called original ok we're going todelete that into that file and I'm goingto save it as record icon dot thing okso we have that so I'm going to openthat in Photoshop ok and then let's seewe're also going to go back to our storeand let's go to the front end and yousee they have a logo here I'm going tojust go open image in new tab and let'sgo ahead and save this alright we'llsave it in original as logo.png ok sowe're also going to open that inPhotoshop and then what I'll do is dragthe record image into our logo here andI'll do ctrl T and resize it okay I'lljust yeah we'll just look that looksgood and let's minimize that and thenthis opencart logo here I'm just goingto get rid of that so just to delete andthen let's put some text in hereand it's a DJ outlets okay and the typeof thought this is is century gothicalright but you can do whatever you'dlike and then I'm just going to changelet's see I did the just a DJ and I'mgoing to click up here into the colorand just make that black and click OKalright and then I'm going to selectboth of these layers and just kind ofmove it to the middle alright and that'sour logo so let's go ahead and do saveas and I'm not going to do it inoriginal we're going to go here and saveit as well go dot PNG alright and thenlet's go back close that up and see ifwe can close all these things up ok andthen in the backend let's go back tosettings and click Edit and see we'll goto image and store logo we're going toclick Edit and then this upload buttonright here and we're going to grab ourlogo okay so it's been uploaded oh youknow what it's it's not showing becauseit's the same name as this and that filedidn't get deleted so what I'll do isjust go back and change the name solet's see go down here and I'm justgoing to change it from logo – let'sjust say DJ logo all right and thenwe'll upload thatall right so it's a success and what thehell is it that is sorry so we'll clickthat and now save and then if we go toour front-end and reload there we go sonow we have a custom logo now if we goback to our settings and go to store youmay want to change this as well so whatI'll do is open in a new tab and thenwe'll save that save it in original openthat up in Photoshop and then what we'lldo is bring over the record so I'm justgoing to bring that in hereand get rid of that layer underneathwe'll just delete that and then let'ssave that right here and we'll just saveit as DJ logo 100 times 100 and it'llsave it go back over here and we'llchange this upload we want this one hereoh I guess the logo.png did actuallychange so for this we're going to choosethat record icon alright and we'll savenow we can also change this up here toeven customize the back end so if we sayopen image in new tab and it's reallysmall but we're going to save that intooriginal let's save it as a small logookay and then we'll open that up andlet's bring over this okay do a ctrl Tso we can resizeall right and then we'll get rid of theoriginal layer let's save it and we'llsave it here a small logo PNG and thenwhat we'll do is just replace it in ourfiles okay so actually I want that openagain we know that the location is anadmin view image logo.png now I'm doingit this way because I couldn't find anoption to change it in the backend sowe're just going to replace the image soif we go to our files and go to adminand view image it's this logo.png righthere so let's go ahead and why does thatkeep closing well there we go so we'regoing to go and upload small logo PNGand then delete this logo PNG and thenjust rename this to logo dot PNG allright and then we'll go back to ourstore and reload okay we might have toclear the cache with ctrl f5 and I seewe have our own logo alright just makesit a little more custom now I'm going touse manufacturers for our products aswell so let's first create those andthen we'll create our products ok solet's go to manufacturers and for theimages I actually prepared those alreadyI'm not going to do that because it'sjust going to take too much time so youwill have this DJ outlet images folderfor download and then the paste in afolder called manufacturers and we'regoing to use these for bearing our newmark Pioneer and Sony okay so let's goahead and add a new manufacturer andthis will be let's say new mark on SEOURL you want to fill that out as well sothey can just go to you know slash newmark and see all those images and let'ssee we're going to upload it so sayupload and manufacturers and I'm justgoing tograb all of these and click open allright so let's choose the Newmark oneand save alright and then we'll do thesame for the other three so this will beSony ok and let's choose that and saveok let's choose to add another one thiswill be berenguer whom i'm sure ifthat's felt right but that's fineall right so let's see right here saveand then we just want to add pioneerall right so now we have ourmanufacturers now we're also going towant to create some categories so let'sgo to categories and let's click add newso this is going to be DJ controllersand for for a description I'm just goingto go to lorem ipsum our lips um calmand just grab a little bit of text sowe'll just grab like a sentence or twocopy that and put that here now as faras meta tag title we're going to use thesame as the category name and then youcan put a description and stuff if youwant and then let's go to data and thisis where we can put the image so I alsohave a folder called products in theimages let me just paste that in okay soproducts and these are all the productsagain you'll have the link to downloadthese in the description so we're goingto use just each product for thecategory image as well so it's an imageand let's go ahead and just upload allof those product images oopsall right so we get success let's grabone of these DJ controller images nowtop this is if you want to add thiscategory to the top menu and I do so I'mgoing to just check that off alright andyou can change the sort order as welland we don't need anything InDesign sothat should be good let's go ahead andsave and now if we go to our front-endand reload we have our category DJcontrollers click that and we have thatinfo we just added so let's add a couplemore categories so this is going to beturntables and again I'll just grab sometext let's go to images okay and we'llgrab this top and save all right andthen we're going to have one morecategory which is going to be headphonesokay and we'll add the image let's dothattop save okay so now we have our threecategories so now it's time to add someproducts so let's go over to productsand let's click new now for the text I'mgoing to be just pasting it in you guyscan copy it if you want and then let'ssee description we'll just grabparagraph okay meta tag title is goingto be the same as the title alright andlet's see for the modelI guess this doesn't really have a modelnumber so I'll just make one up we'lljust say x100 and then for the SKU let'sdo 0 0 1 and let's see the quantity thatwe have let's say we have 200 of theseand there's all types of options I'm notgoing to go through every single one youcan also put all the weight info andstuff so it calculates the shipping andthen let's see links manufacturer thisis going to be new mark categories thisis going to be DJ controllers storesalways going to be default relatedproducts you can add if but we don'thave any yet and you can even adddownloads for instance the manual orsomething like thatalright we're not going to useattributes or anything like that let'ssee oh I don't think I put the price soif we go to data you want to put theprice in alright and then let's see youcan apply discounts is just a lot guysimage we're going to just add that thisright here and then we can addadditional images so if we click righthere what score let's throw these two inthere as welland that should be good let's go aheadand save all right so let's go to thefront end now if we go to the home pageit's not going to show by defaultbecause the home page is actually amodule if we go to DJ controllers you'llsee it but let's add it to the home pageso we need to go to where is itsextensions and then we're going tochoose modules and go down to featuredand this home page right here so we'llclick Edit and for products we're goingto choose that product ok will do let'sdo limit 8 all right so let's save andnow if we go to the front-end and reloadthere it is alright so I'm going to goahead and just add the rest of theproducts just to save a little time I'mgoing to do this off camera basicallyjust repeat what we did here for thethree other products alright guys so Iadded the rest of the project productsnow I did mess up with the manufacturerand I put barriner when it shouldactually be technics but that's fine Ijust took I just chose behringer's ofthe manufacturer for the turntable nowwe need to add these to the home page solet's go to extensions and go to modulesand let's see featured home page editand we're just going to add the rest ofthese alright we'll save and now if wego to our home page and reload we haveall of our products and we have ourdescription pages our images I alsochose some related products and so onalright so let's let's change the colorsbecause we want this and all the buttonsto be red so this is the only file thatwe actually have to edit so we want togo to the CSS which is going to be let'ssee it should be in systemno oh it's going to be in catalog andthen view theme default and stylesheetall right so we have a style sheet dotCSS what I'm going to do is bring it tothe desktop and let's go ahead andminimize this and here it is right hereso I'm going to edit with let's saysublime text you can use any code editorand we basically have some colors tosearch for and replace so I'm going togo to C replace and we want thishexadecimal value and we're going tochange it to this one all right so I'mgoing to say replace all alright thenext one we are going to search for thisvalue and we're going to replace themall with this one ok so that replacedthat let's do it again replace and nowwe're going to search for this one andreplace with this one replace all andthen one more and again these files willbe available so you don't have tomanually do this and replace it withthat or place all and then we're goingto save this and then just re-upload italright and then we'll go back to oursite and reload and nothing let's do acontrol f5 that clears the cache so nowwe have our red navbar okay so we'realmost there guys now let's do theslideshow so we're going to go to let'ssee where was it late banners and let'screate a new banner and we'll just callthis DJ banner make sure it's enabledand then for the imagesI'm going to make those available foryou guys so you'll have a folder calledslide and slide one two and three so wewant to go ahead and add those titlelet's just say slide one and we'llchange the image let's go ahead andupload those images alright and we'regoing to choose slide one you can put alink if you want as well so let's createthe next one let's do where is it slidetwo and then slide three and let's goahead and save that and then to let'ssay enabled we have to go to ourextensions I believe and then modulesand go down to slideshow homepage andthen edit and let's change it to DJbanner and save and there we go is oursliderokay very easy now for payment we'regoing to we're going to go to where isit says extensions if you can't findsomething in here chances are it's anextension so payments and you can seethere's a ton of optionsauthorize.net is a really good one butobviously you need an account with thesecompanies cash-on-delivery you'll see isenabled by default and everything elseis disabled but we're going to go toPayPal payment standard and let's seeinstall okay once we install it we canedit it and then you could put yourthere are paypal email address there youcan choose sandbox mode if you wantwhich is kind of like just testing andyou have some other stuff here but let'smake sure that this is enabled and we'llclick Savealright so now they should be able touse PayPal so I'm pretty sure that's itguys I mean let's go ahead and just testout the login system and so on so let'ssay we want to add this to the cartalright and then we'll go to view cartoh the coupons if you want to add acoupon you can go to where is it couponsand you can see there's a 10% onealready created the code is two two twotwolet's go ahead and let's actually changethat – I will say 10% and you can seeit's already 10% and let's make sure youcan choose specific products or leaveleave it for all of them you can choosespecific categories alright let's goahead and enable it for everything andthen if we go to our front-end and wesay 10% apply coupon and now it's 8910alrightand then shipping you choose that stufflet's go to checkout and let's go aheadand create an account alright so sayregister account continue and then I'mgoing to just put everything in herealright so I just added everything tosave some time I'm going to pick apassword okay we can also use anewsletter if we want but I'm just goingto click this check box and clickcontinueok delivery details will click continueshipping flat rate continue and you cansee we have the PayPal option so we'llcontinueand it gives us a summary we can sayconfirm order and it should redirect usto PayPal all right I can't actuallymake a purchase because I can't use myaccount to purchase from my account butit'll go through this and it'll add thecustomer and their orders in yourback-end so you can see what they'vepurchased all right so really cool butwe're just going to go back and that'spretty much it we have a fullfunctioning ecommerce site that we didin what less than an hour now one thingI want to mention is the pages down herefor instance 5 Things To Know Before You Start An Ecommerce Business
[Music][Applause][Music]hey guys Greta here and today I'm goingto be covering five things that you needto know before you start an e-commercebusiness over the last six years Ifounded for multi-million dollarecommerce brands including skinny meatyv and drop model and scaled these brandsinto the eight figures I've also madesome huge mistakes along the way theseare mistakes I see new ecommerceentrepreneurs making again and again nowI've also taught a course alongsidefound are called start and Scalia onlinestore to thousands of students so I'venot only learnt from my own mistakes butalso send thousands of e-commerceentrepreneurs just starting out maketheir own the best thing about making amistake are the lessons that you learnin doing so so today I'm not only goingto identify five things that you need toknow before you start an e-commercebusiness but also give you someactionable tips around them where I canso let's list them quickly now so thatyou know what the agenda is for todaynumber one your product is the solutionto a problem number two your productneeds to be viable for e-commerce numberthree you need to be able to communicatehow you're differentnumber four your customer is noteveryone and number five you can buildyour audience before you have a productso I'm going to take you through all ofthese with an example of a newe-commerce brand and how you'd applyeach of these learnings to that brandlike I said this is going to be veryactionable then I'm going to let youknow how you can get started today solet's dive straight into it number oneyour product is the solution to aproblem so the first thing that you needto know when starting an e-commercebusiness is that you're not justcreating a product you're solving aproblem the world does not need moreproducts what it does need is bettersolutions to existing problems one ofthe most common mistakes I see newentrepreneurs making again and again iscreating a solution before identifyingthe problem so before thinking whatproduct can I sell first think aboutwhat problem can I solve so what we needto do is find a problem that you knowexists or better yet you've experiencedyourself ideally this will be a nichethat you're truly passionate about asthis is going to be something that youwant to be able to do day in day out forthe foreseeable futureso let's use an example I'm interestedin protecting our shared environment forfuture generations this might be becausemy mom was a bit of a hippie and alsolike a lot of mums the person I look upto most in this world so a hugeenvironmental issue is waste bothlandfill and recyclable for differentreasons my mum has taken to doing thingslike lighting have been with oldnewspaper instead of plastic bags andshe religiously takes her own reusablebags to the supermarket including theones that you put your fruit and veggiesin to be weighed so the problem I'd likemy brand to solve is decreasing wastefrom everyday disposable items so a goodway to come up with your product typehere is by turning your problem into aquestion and your product type over theanswer to that question so the questionwould be how can i decrease waste fromeveryday disposable items and one answerwould be to make those items reusable sonow let's start to think of some itemsthat use daily that are disposable thatyou could make reusable so the first fewthings that come to mind just off thetop of my head of razors toothbrushestakeaway coffee cups and straws so nowyou want to begin to have a think and dosome research around each potentialproduct idea and which you think has thebiggest market potential and which isn'tbeing done as well as the others solet's fast forward and go for the itemof those which has the least marketsaturation which is disposable strawsthen we want to focus in and start to dosome additional research around ourproblem and solution so we want to lookinto some of the facts and figures thatyou can focus on to highlight theproblem of disposable strollersapparently an estimated 500 millionstraws are used everyday in the US alonethis is a powerful number and will helpyour potential customer instantlyunderstand the importance of making achange then you want to highlight thefact that plastic straws can not berecycled and that they sit in landfillfor years or pollute our waterways soyou're starting to create a compellingreason for your prospective customers toswitch to a reusable straw by getting totheto understand and even empathize withthe problem now your customer just needsto understand how your product isdifferent to every other reusable strawon the market which we'll cover in pointnumber three but first we need to makesure our product is viable fore-commerce so moving on to point numbertwo not all products are viable fore-commerce now that you've come up withthe problem in it you're solving and thesolution your product you need to makesure that your product is viable toe-commerce so the number one thingthat's going to determine whether yourproduct is going to be viable fore-commerce or not is whether it's ableto be shipped worldwide so it needs tonot be too heavy or your shipping willcost a lot it needs to not be toobreakable or you'll be issuing a lot ofrefunds so let's take our product ideainto account here is it like to ship yesit's reusable so you'll only me needingto send one or two items at a timerather than items of bulk and is itbreakable this is going to depend onwhat the straw is made of there are twomain kinds of reusable straws glass andplastic the e-commerce viability let'sstay away from glass as it's far morebreakable plus it could be quite adangerous product if it was to break insomebody's mouth for example so a metalreusable straw is a viable ecommerceoption it's also a financially viableoption as it's relatively cheap toproduce and has a high perceived valueso you might be thinking there arealready very usable straws on the markethow is my product different this takesus onto topic 3 so topic number three isthat you need to differentiate yourselffor your competition the next thing thatyou need to do is be able to communicatehow you're different from other brandsor products on the market what we'relooking to do here is to create yourunique value proposition a unique valueproposition is a single clear compellingmessage that states why you're differentand worth buying a common misconceptionin e-commerce is that you need a crazynew product idea to be successful thisis not true at all and actually the mostsuccessful e-commerce brands are theones that have taken existing problemsand sold them in a new way so what'simportant to note here is that you don'tneed to reinventthe wheel you just need to find a pointof difference the way that I do this isby taking my product and considering howI could make it different by changing asingle dimension only the dimensionsthat I take into account a designfunction price and time so let's take alook at how we could make our reusablestraw different to others on the marketstarting with design an option to changethe design of our metal reusable strawcould be making it in a differentcolorway especially a trending colorwaylike rose gold or Chrome but again thesemay already exist another morespecialized design option could beplaying on the design trend ofpersonalization and each straw could beengraved with your customer's initialsfor example this makes the product feelmore like their own and is a great waynot to get your straws mixed up and inthis way it could encourage bulk ordersfrom families and offices etc so movingon to a way that we could change ourproducts function the best way to goabout changing a products functionalityis to take a pain point into account soagain off the top of my head I canimagine that a straw floating around ina bag or day might get quite dirty orthat you might not even be carrying abag and you might not want to take along awkward straw with you everywherethat you go so a functional way to helpsolve these pain points could be bydesigning a straw that's retractable andable to be folded down to fit in a smallcase maybe around the size of a matchboxand in turn this case would help protectyour straw off and dirt so maybe evenmaking the case from an antibacterialsubstance like copper the next dimensionthat you want to consider as a point ofdifference is the price of the straw andit kind of surprising you want toconsider whether you're going for alower direct-to-consumer price pointwhich is more accessible to the massesor a more exclusive price point forhigher exclusivity I generally go forthe lower direct-to-consumer price pointfor a product like this and you canalways bring out a more expensivelimited-edition version of your productlater for example a solid metal ratherthan a Polish metal straw and finallythe last dimension that I consider istime in particular the amount of timethat your product is available for saleat my company the fifth watches we wereable to differentiate ourselves from thehighly saturated watch market bychanging this single variable only theamount of time that our watches wereavailable for we decided to only sellour watches on the fifth of each monthfor five days the scarcity of thiscreated demand and the exclusivityincreased the saved value othercompanies have done this through limitededition models like jay-z's or the flashsale model like gilt with thisparticular product I think it wouldn'tlend itself to only being available fora certain amount of time except like wediscussed for maybe a limited editionversion so there you have it some ideasaround how to differentiate your productfrom others already on the market so wehave our product now we have to considerour market which brings us to pointnumber four your customer is noteveryone so you know the problem you aresolving you know how your product canserve as a solution to that problem andhow to differentiate yourself from yourcompetition now it's time to startthinking about who you're going to beselling your product to something that Ihear again and again is that because anew entrepreneur thinks that theirproduct is so amazing and as it'llappeal to anyone therefore their targetmarket is everyone but the thing is thatnobody can afford to market to everybodyso to get more ROI out of your marketingyou need to find the group of people whoyour offer is the most compelling forthis is your target market one way tothink about this is in an ideal worldwho would love your product and want totell all of their friends family andfollowers about it this is the groupwe're looking for first so there are alot of different ways about going tofind your target market you can createcustomer personas you can do research onyour competitors and who they'reactively targeting or speaking to butbefore you launch the easiest way willbe by reverse analyzing your productfrom your audience's point of view youcan do this by ever taking an audiencecentric or product centric approach sofor an audience centric approach themain things that you're going to beconsidering are your audience'sdemographics so things like their agelocation gender income level ethnicityetc and your audiences psychographic sothings like their personality values andinterests and for a product centricapproach you want to take apart yourproduct and its core offerings againthis could be in turndesign time function and price anddetermine who these would appeal to mosteither way as a starting point beforeyou've launched and have any data aboutwho your customers actually are we justwant to come up with a few basics somaybe one or two demographic basedfactors and one or two psychographicfactors so let's say for our reusablemetal straw that were wanting to targetpeople predominantly based in the US dueto our initial messaging around 500million straws being used daily in theUS aged between 25 to 34 as these couldbe young adults wanting to take moreresponsibility for maintaining ourshared environment for futuregenerationsso they'd value the environment andfillers that they can make a differencetogether this is definitely enoughinformation about our target audience toget started with so let's go find themwhich brings us to the fifth thing thatwe need to know before starting ane-commerce business you need to buildyour audience before you launch yourproduct one of the biggest myths ine-commerce and with any business reallyis the idea that if you build it theywill comethis is that if you have the rightproducts a beautiful website and greatproduct photography that people will notonly find you but actually followthrough and make a purchase in realitythis could not be further from the truthand it's a reason that a lot of brandsdo fail so creating a product andwaiting for your market isn't the rightway to go about it but what if we flipthis on its head and focused on buildingan audience before we launched a productand this is where my concept of marketproduct fit as opposed to product marketfit comes in this concept highlights theimportance of building an audience or amarket before you launch your productrather than the other way around so Idid this with my brand drop bottle I hada really big Instagram account witharound eight or nine hundred thousandfollowers at the time called app detoxwater which featured fruit infusedwatersso I created a product for this audiencewhich is a double world glass fruitinfuser drink bottle that product waschosen as one of Oprah's Favorite Thingsa couple of years ago and was featuredon the front page of Amazon atChristmastime and as a result we sawsales skyrocket so building an audiencebefore you launch your product is agreat way to get started and where I'vestarted with all of my brands has beenInstagramInstagram is still a very powerfulmarketing platform where you can buildan audience for free or with a veryminimal budget if you're usingtechniques like shoutouts or Instagraminfluences over the last six years I'vegrown my combined Instagram following toover 16 million followers across 25different accounts including app vineswith 5.7 million followers but the mostimportant question is how do you goabout growing your social following togrow your social following you need tofocus on what I call the three C's ofcommunity the first C is content thecontent that you post is greatly goingto determine the type of followers thatyou attract to your account so you wantyour content to be both relevant andvaluable to your target audienceso take a look at what other brands youaspire to be like a posting these don'tnecessarily have to be a directcompetition just other brands withinyour niche the second C is collaborationand I'd suggest collaborating withinfluencers other accounts in your nichefor shoutouts or another branding yourniche to host a giveaway and the third Cis consistency posting consistentlydoesn't only help to establish frontEmine positioning for your brand throughrepetition but is also favored withinthe Instagram algorithm in other wordsaccounts that post consistently willreceive more organic reach on their postmeaning Instagram will show their poststo more people so keep the three C'scontent collaboration and consistency inmind here founder actually runs the bestInstagram course on the market thatteaches you step by step how to growyour Instagram following calledInstagram domination so if you'd like tofind out more about that I'll put thelink in the description as well and forthe record I'm in no way associated withthe course and I'm not an employee offounders I just strongly recommend thiscourse so when thinking about buildingan audience on Instagram for examplebefore we launch our reusable straw wewant to keep what we know about ournation target audience in mind so wewant to be engaging with environmentallyconscious people from the US agedbetween 18 and 34 first we need to finda theme for our Instagram page we don'twant to create a product page yet as wedon't have our product and we don't wantto be posting other brands so to pickthe theme via page a goodidea is to go back to the problem you'resolving this is so that when weintroduce our product to this page it'llbe relevant and seem like a goodsolution to our followers so for us itwas decreasing waste from everydaydisposable items first when thinkingabout content we might want to begin byBri searching other environmentallyfocused pages on Instagram within theniche and also active hashtags withinthe niche both to use in our posts andto identify viral trending content wecan repost to our page with credit soafter doing a little research I found awhole Instagram movement aroundminimizing waste and there are all kindsof hashtags for this movement likehashtag zero waste with over 1.5 milliontagged posts hashtag zero waste homehashtag zero waste life the list goes onso the content on my account would becentered around promoting reusablesubstitutions to everyday disposableproducts so I'd begin postingconsistently around this theme and interms of collaboration I could do a minitag to win competition around some ofthe items that I feature that wouldn'tcost me much I could also buy some shoutouts or influencer posts from some ofthe larger pages in my niche or even getthem to run a competition on my behalfin this way you'll be able to slowly butsurely start to build an audience thatyou can then introduce your product tolater when you're readyif you switch this account to a businessaccount on Instagram this will also helpto validate your target audience as youmight end up with analytics that showthat your audience is predominantlybased in the US aged between 25 to 34and predominantly female for examplethen what you want to do is startgetting this audience to sign up to thewait list for your product which youmight not even have in stock yet thisway you'll have an engaged group fromwithin your target audience to email outto come launch day so there you have ita way to begin building your audiencebefore you
