The Milwaukee Road, officially the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (CMStP & P RR) (reporting mark MILW), was a Class I railroad that ran in the Midwest and Northwest of the United States from 1847 till its merger into the Soo Line Railroad on January 1, 1986. The business went through several main names and faced personal bankruptcy a number of times in that duration. While the railroad does not exist as a different entity anymore, it is still celebrated in structures like the historic Milwaukee Road Depot in Minneapolis, Minnesota and in railroad hardware still kept by railfans, such as the Milwaukee Road 261 steam engine.

Later on evolved into the
Milwaukee Road “Skytop Lounge”
This is the Milwaukee Roads “Skytop” Lounge. There were a number of over the years. This is as painted in one of the later yellow and gray paint schemes. The unique full-length dome-car can be seen a couple of vehicles ahead.

The one shown here and another that had additional glass windows like those at the back however extending further foreward to supply a bigger area inside under glass.
