It is produced by The Coca-Cola Business of Atlanta, Georgia, and is typically described merely as Coke (a signed up trademark of The Coca-Cola Business in the United States given that March 27, 1944). Initially intended as a patent medicine when it was invented in the late 19th century by John Pemberton, Coca-Cola was bought out by businessman Asa Griggs Candler, whose marketing techniques led Coke to its supremacy of the world soft-drink market throughout the 20th century.
The business produces concentrate, which is then offered to licensed Coca-Cola bottlers throughout the world. The bottlers, who hold territorially exclusive contracts with the business, produce ended up product in cans and bottles from the concentrate in combination with filtered water and sweeteners. The bottlers then sell, distribute and merchandise Coca-Cola to stores and vending makers. The Coca-Cola Company likewise sells concentrate for soda fountains to major dining establishments and food service suppliers.
The Coca-Cola Business has, on celebration, presented other cola drinks under the Coke trademark name. The most common of these is Diet Coke, with others consisting of Caffeine-Free Coca-Cola, Diet Plan Coke Caffeine-Free, Coca-Cola Cherry, Coca-Cola Zero, Coca-Cola Vanilla, and special versions with lemon, lime or coffee. In 2013, Coke items could be discovered in over 200 nations worldwide, with consumers downing more than 1.8 billion company drink portions each day.
