After a long long time shot a macro, table top & used a speedlight.
fired the light on the sidewall on the right to camera and bounced it on the subject to lit it ..
‘Star Anise’ is star-shaped seed pod often used in ethnic cuisines also pops up in seasonal treat. Star anise is an important ingredient & is mainly used in meat dishes especially biryani & and is also an ingredient in making garam masala.
